Chapter 9 Insurmountable Hurdle

"Sir, the acquisition plan is going on well. The three companies are now in our pocket."

Harden knitted his brows and snarled.

"Three companies! We just made it this far after such a long time? Explanation?"

The frightened employee didn't dare to face him.

"Sorry sir, it's my fault. We met some problems in acquiring one of the companies, so..."

The angry boss held his forehead helplessly.

"All right, enough, next!"

The meeting went on for two hours when a sudden ringtone broke in. Those employees in the conference room looked at each other in speechless despair, fearing that they forgot to mute their phones. Luckily, it was Harden's phone!

He took the phone and checked the caller ID, 'Patrick? He found out Camila's whereabouts?'

"This is it for today!"

He hurriedly answered the call and suspended the important meeting. It was not his working style, but that woman was the key to his plan. Nevertheless, he asked with feigned nonchalance.

"Hello, what's up?"

The man on the other end of the phone was not as calm as he was.

"Good news! There is finally information about Camila! I've found her, are you in the office? I'll go there!"

Harden suppressed his excitement and answered in a reserved voice.

"Mm, I am."

"Okay, see you in a moment!"

Harden hung up the phone and sneered to himself.

"Wherever you are, I'll find you!"

Patrick stormed into the office and panted.

"Malaysia! I've found out, she's in Malaysia!"

Without waiting for him to catch a breath, Harden pressed anxiously.

"Precise location? Hotel?"

Patrick was baffled. 'Precise location? I'm not a cop! It's good enough to make this far!' He thought.

"How would I know? Go find her yourself!"

Harden felt helpless! The land area of Malaysia was 330,000 square kilometers!

'Such a vast country! Where am I supposed to start? Finding a needle in a haystack?'

He sorted out his thoughts and replied helplessly.

"Okay, I see."

Sitting in the office, the two men started discussing tactics.

"We must narrow down the scope, or we won't find her. It has been six months, and she finally shows up!"

Patrick spoke like a detective catching a criminal at large!

Harden held his forehead helplessly and thought for a moment.

"I think... she should be at a beach in this season! So, we'll narrow it down to a certain island!"

"Well, this is much easier!" Patrick said confidently.

"I guess she is on Layang Layang Island!"

"No, I vote for Pulan Tioman!"

Harden found the name of the island alone suited Camila...

After a heated discussion, they decided on Harden's plan. After all, he needed to chase his own girl!

"Alright, alright, Pulan Tioman!"

After the teaching program, Camila spent all her savings, went to the seaside, unprecedently wore a bikini, and strolled on the beach barefoot.

'It's been half a year. Why couldn't I get over it?'

She came to the beach for a distraction. In the past six months, she had been happily facing those children in Red Frame Village. When it came to the night, however, those shameful scenes would pop up in her mind!
