Chapter 7 Where Did You Get 30 Million Yuan

Lindsay met Mr. Santos once. In his forties, the man had a bald head and a big belly. He did real estate business and became an overnight millionaire. There was one time when she went to socialize on behalf of Stefan, and the other party was Mr. Santos. In the booth, the man deliberately sat next to her and got fresh. In the end, she left in a huff.

Never had she expected Eva would ask her to marry Mr. Santos.

"Lindsay, don't play dumb!" Eva glanced at her unhappily, "My point is clear. You can only save Fowler Group by marrying Mr. Santos. What, you don't like it? Are you going to watch Stefan die?"

Lindsay hung her head.

She didn't want to marry Mr. Santos!

But she wouldn't watch Stefan die!

Ever since she was a child, Stefan had been shielding her from the wind and rain. Now, she wanted to return the favor.

At that, Lindsay eventually gritted her teeth and nodded, "Okay, mom, I agree!"

"That's wise!" Eva's tone instantly softened. Fumbling through her bag, she produced a room card and handed it to Lindsay, "This is the room card for the presidential suite in the Dragon City Hotel. Clean yourself up and go there alone tomorrow night!"

"Okay!" Despite her trembling heart, she reached out her arm and took the room card from Eva's hand.

She knew that she didn't have a choice!

"Mom, can I check on Stefan?" Lindsay restrained her sorrow, forced a smile, and looked at Eva.

"You can!" Eva nodded and then warned her, "But you'd better not tell Stefan about it, or there will be consequences!"

Without another word, Lindsay nodded her head, walked past Eva, and went upstairs.

She certainly would not tell Stefan.

If her brother knew, he definitely would not let her go!

When Lindsay stood at the door of Stefan's bedroom, a burst of violent cough happened to come out.

Lindsay hurriedly pushed open the door, got in, and asked with concern, "Stefan, how do you feel?"

"Linzi, you're back!"

At the sight of his sister, Stefan immediately gave an easy smile and hid all the negative emotions, "You are back so late."

Although he tried his best to disguise, her eyes still noticed his pale face.

Lindsay knew that Stefan didn't want her to see his weak side.

"Stefan!"

Sitting down in front of the bed, Lindsay looked at his ever-thinner face with distress and forced a smile, "I've solved the financial problem, so don't worry about it. We'll have the money in a couple of days!"

"Linzi!"

As soon as Stefan heard that, the smile on his face instantly faded away. His brows furrowed, and he pressed, "How did you solve it? Where did you get 30 million yuan all at once?"

"I borrowed it!" Lindsay feigned an easy look, "I went out today and ran into a classmate. She married an overseas tycoon half a year ago and lent me the money as soon as I turned to her!"

Lindsay had to admire herself for making up such an absurd story.

She couldn't let him know that she went to the nightclub for a striptease. Once he did, he would definitely be mad and sad.

She didn't want to see him losing his temper!
