Chapter 6 How Much Did You Make Tonight

"Miss!"

After a moment of hesitation, Cora decided to fill Lindsay in on the family's situation, "The bank came to collect the debt this afternoon. Out of anger, Mr. Fowler spat blood. The situation is not good!"

"Stefan spat blood? Where is he?" When Lindsay heard the news, her heart jumped to her throat, and she asked closely.

Her brother Stefan Fowler's health collapsed with the company crisis.

She constantly urged her brother to see a doctor, but Stefan kept saying that he was fine. Unable to hold out, he somehow spat blood today!

Cora replied, "Mr. Fowler is in the bedroom on the second floor..."

Before Cora could finish her speech, Lindsay rushed upstairs.

When she just reached the staircase, however, she ran into a middle-aged woman bedecked with jewels and in a retro dress.

This woman was Lindsay's adoptive mother and Stefan's biological mother, Eva Walsh.

"Mom!" Lindsay halted her steps and greeted her respectfully.

Eva glanced at her coldly and questioned her bluntly, "How much did you make tonight?"

Lindsay bit her lower lip without saying anything.

She didn't make a penny tonight and even lost face!

"What, speak." Eva was instantly angered by her silence, "Didn't you claim to make money? Where is it?"

"Mom!" Bearing the harsh words, Lindsay lowered her head, "I made no money today!"

"What?" Eva immediately questioned her again in a tone dripping with sarcasm, "Fowler's family has raised you for so many years for nothing? Now we're in crisis, and it's time for you to repay us!"

"Mom, I can't raise 30 million yuan any time soon!" Lindsay stated the facts.

Even though she could make a million yuan for each striptease, it was a drop in the ocean compared with 30 million.

Besides, she didn't want to do that kind of business in a nightclub again!

She didn't want to be a dirty, lowly woman!

But how was she supposed to earn 30 million?

"Lindsay!" Eva instantly lost her temper, "Stefan spat blood today. According to the doctor, it arose from anger. The company is going bankrupt. Will you just watch Stefan die from anger?"

"No! Stefan will be fine!" Lindsay shook her head.

In this world, Stefan treated her the best. For that, she was willing to stay in Fowler's house despite Eva's poor treatment.

She knew that she was just an adopted daughter. The Fowler family gave her a warm home and a lady's title. What else could she expect?

"Lindsay!"

Eva took a deep breath, sized Lindsay up, and spoke in a meaningful tone, "Now there's a way to save Stefan. Would you do it?"

"What is it?" Lindsay asked hurriedly.

Now she was willing to try every mean, be it selling her blood or kidney.

She must ensure Stefan's safety!

"Mr. Santos from Clouds Real Estate takes a liking to you!" Eva then got down to business, "According to Mr. Santos, as long as you're willing to marry him, he will see Fowler Group through the crisis!"

"Mom!" When Lindsay heard that, her heart gave a physical lurch, "What... do you mean?"
