Chapter 5 Not Worthy to Mention Her Name

Moved by her sensible daughter, Elyse felt bitter inside and almost shed tears.

Ford glared at his son, "Greta has cardiac problems. She can't have greasy food!"

"I..." The expression on Kolton's face changed slightly.

He knew that Greta was suffering from congenital heart disease, but apparently, Elyse was more careful than him.

Every once in a while, their daughter would receive medical checkups. Elyse went with her every time, and he was reluctant to join them. Her presence alone annoyed him.

As a result, he didn't know every caution about the food and behaviors.

Ford was pissed to see him like this, "Is this how you fulfill your obligations as a father? All day long, you fool around..."

"Dad, I'm full." As the old man was about to bring up Kolton's affairs, Elyse covered Greta's ears and stood up. "I'm taking Greta to the garden for a walk." She said without even looking at Kolton.

Avery elegantly glanced at the father and son before sulking, "You guys talk. I'll keep Elyse company."

Then the three got up and left.

As Elyse walked past, Kolton turned sideways, tactfully stopped her, and wanted to apologize. When he raised his head and saw her cold face, his words wouldn't come out.

He somehow felt depressed. Glaring at her back, he felt more and more agitated, "Elyse, seriously? Nothing happened to Greta!"

How dare this woman give him such an attitude!

Holding Greta, Elyse widened her eyes as anger rose in her, "In your mind, Greta's health is a trivial matter?"

Her eyes turned colder, "You fail as a father."

She turned away without looking back.

"Serves you right!" Ford saw their interaction and cursed in a low voice, "How much has Elyse contributed to the family! And you just turn a blind eye! Cut all ties with Louisa as soon as possible! The gossip has given rise to much discussion, and you're a total disgrace."

Kolton was annoyed. His mind was filled with Elyse's cold face. Upon hearing that, he lost his temper, "It's not a big deal. Elyse doesn't mind it. What do you care!"

"Don't give me that! Think you that I can't read your mind..." The displeased old man warned him, "Kolton, that woman died..."

"Enough!" Kolton's face fell, and anger was rolling in his eyes, "What makes you think you can mention Janiyah?"

"How dare you!"

Ford's face stiffened. He restrained his anger and snorted, "Anyway, conduct yourself and keep the interests of the company in mind."

"Company, interests..." Kolton sneered.

Since he was a child, he had heard too many of such high-sounding remarks!

Ford had been very strict with him and rarely cared about his feelings. All that he wanted was to train his son till the latter became a qualified successor to the Moody Family.

The old man had never cared about what he wanted.

"The company and Elyse are both imposed on me by you." Kolton scorned, "Dad, the company is fine in the hands of your great daughter-in-law. What are you afraid of?"

Ford changed his countenance and fumed, "You wretch, what the hell are you talking about? I did everything for your good..."

"For my good through imposing what I don't like on me?" Kolton fought back his anger and stood up coldly, "Excuse me, I still have unfinished business."

"Stop right there!" Ford's chest heaved with rage, and he abruptly threw a tea cup at his son, "Is Janiyah any better than Elyse? Haven't you done enough stupid things for that woman?"

"You are not worthy to mention her name, much less is Elyse!" Kolton instantly raised the roof.

Then the slam of the door reverberated through the villa.
