Chapter 10 Daddy Wasn't Worried

Her body was violently pulled up into a pair of broad, cold arms.

Elyse widened her eyes in shock but soon growled in anger, "Let go of me!"

Kolton's bloodshot eyes looked distinct, fervent, and terrifyingly cold.

He reached out his hand and rubbed her lips vigorously. Out of pain, she knitted her brows.

"Divorce?" He laughed cruelly, "What makes you think you can bring it up?"

"Because of what you did to Janiyah, you'll atone for it through staying with me, and we'll torture each other till the very end."

"You... Mmm!"

Her accusations were swallowed by the man and muffled by his bloody biting.

Different from other couples, there was no affection between them. There was only pain and torture, as he said.

Elyse punched him desperately, trying to break free but to no avail.

She couldn't beat the furious man.

In her desperation, Elyse kneed his lower abdomen and caught him off guard.

His brow furrowed but his kiss became more frantic. He vented his pain in it.

Eventually, Kolton moved away and held her face. His eyes were icy, "Elyse, in front of me, you have no right to choose!"

Just then, the door of the emergency room opened, and out came a doctor, "Greta's parents."

Only then did Kolton let her go.

Regardless of her image, Elyse rushed to the emergency room.

When Kolton just intended to follow her, a figure was seen out of the corner of his eye. In an instant, his attention was caught.

As if being possessed, he followed the figure involuntarily.

Their hair, backs, and fair ears when the sun landed on them were the same.

Just like before, she walked briskly and naughtily. His heart pounded with her every step.

One step, two steps... He was afraid of startling the figure and losing her again.

Like a gust of wind, he chased out of the hospital building, but the figure had vanished into thin air.

A hallucination?

He shook his head. How was it possible that he had the same hallucination twice in one day?

He took out his cell phone and called his assistant, "Come to the hospital immediately and check all the surveillance. I'll find that woman!"

Elyse pushed the stretcher out of the emergency room. The man was no longer there, but she was no longer disappointed.

This was the real Kolton. In his mind, their daughter and she didn't matter!

Greta widened her eyes, looked around, and asked cautiously, "Mommy, you're also looking for daddy, right?" Her daddy lost her.

Elyse hurriedly snapped her gaze back and felt a pricking pain in her heart.

She stroked Greta's pale cheek and smiled gently, "No, I was afraid of people bumping into you."

"Mm, if I fall, I'll get sick, and you'll be worried." Her long eyelashes fluttered and her face looked somewhat disappointed, "Why wasn't Daddy worried..."

In an instant, her tears fell. Elyse turned sideways so that her daughter would not see it.

She took out a bear doll from her bag and thrust it into Greta's hand, "My baby, I'll buy candy for you."

"Mm, I won't feel the pain after eating candy." Greta nosed the doll and closed her eyes.

A notification sounded in the ward, "Greta's parents, come to the nurse's station."

Elyse tucked her daughter up, got out of the ward, and bumped into Kolton. The man looked discomfited. For whom? The answer was clear.

"Where's Greta? How is she?" He asked anxiously.

Elyse looked ahead indifferently and walked past him, "From now on, her last name is not Moody!"
