Chapter 9 Fascinated by the Beauty in the Photo

When Terrance looked at the woman in the photo, his deep eyes flickered, and the air about him was chilling.

Different from others, his eyes were fixed on a beautiful butterfly on her chest. Its red wings looked alluring on her fair skin.

He naturally had a flashback to the night five years ago at the seven-star hotel. The woman shouting for help under him also had a red butterfly on her chest. At first, he found the red smear attractive under the dim light of the night.

His fingers and lips were attracted to the spot repeatedly.

Under the pale moonlight, he vaguely saw that it was a butterfly tattoo. The red smear was its wings.

At that, Terrance opened his mouth, saying coldly, "How much is this photo? Put it down now."

Harry's blood froze, and he replied in a shaky voice, "M... Mr. Boyle, sorry, the photographer brought it here for exhibition and not for sale."

No sooner had his voice died away than Terrance stretched out his robust arm and ripped off the frame, "There is nothing I fail to get with money."

The frame thudded on the floor, and the glass shattered. The butterfly on the woman's chest lingered in his mind.

"100 million yuan, wire the money," Terrance announced, bent down to pick up the frame, and strode out of the hall.

The air in the car froze.

Terrance's fingertips stroked the butterfly tattoo and demanded coldly, "Clay, I'll see this woman standing in front of me tomorrow."

"Yes, sir."

"Also, investigate the night five years ago," Terrance instructed again in a cold voice.

He was determined to find the woman this time.

Since he was so fascinated, why didn't he keep her by his side?

When night fell, Robin worked overtime before parting with her friend and colleague, Louisa Golden. In the dark, the broad smile on her face faded away.

It had been five years since that crazy night. Isaac betrayed her, and she ran away from home with her luggage. Happiness never came to her again.

Five years ago, Isaac secretly went abroad instead of getting engaged to Carolyn.

Even so, she had witnessed his betrayal. When she thought of him, her heart still hurt, and her longing ran rampant.

"Robin, wait five years for me. I'll come back and marry you. I promise you'll have the grandest wedding in the world." On a night, his words once again echoed clearly in her mind.

She smiled bitterly, "How could I still cling to an illusion about you? If you really love me, how would you betray me? How would you part with me for five years?"

She didn't notice it, but tears had stained her cheeks.

Robin touched her face, felt the cold moisture, and burst into tears.

Without warning, she would think of the man and shed tears.

"The weather is nice tonight. I would miss the view if I went back in a taxi." She sighed and chose to return home on foot.

All of a sudden, a row of black figures blocked her way.

Robin ignored them and planned to make a detour. Just then, Clay's voice came out of the darkness, "Miss Sargent, there's something that involves you; please follow me." He sounded non-negotiable.
