Chapter 4 A Woman Like Poppies

"That won't be necessary." Terrance leaned against the cozy seat, closed his eyes, and waved his hand.

Clay was bewildered for quite some time.

No investigation? So... he let it drop.

According to their rules, if they found out someone spared no effort to climb on Mr. Boyle's bed, everything she had would evaporate overnight no matter how many.

He somehow let this woman go, which was unprecedented.

Clay couldn't straighten out his thinking any time soon. He didn't know that his boss ravished a girl this time. Since they were in the wrong, it would be outrageous if they went further to destroy her family.

Terrance's lazy voice suddenly came out. It was faint but unchallengeable, "Starting tomorrow, close that suite. Without my order, it won't be open again."

"Yes, sir."

The car disappeared into the darkness like an agile fish.

In the luxurious suite, the pale moonlight landed on Robin's ashy, frail face. Her petite figure curled up.

Her eyelashes fluttered like cicada wings, and her stunning face resembled that of a graceful fairy.

She was indeed gorgeous.

Like a blooming poppy, she was poisonous and addictive.

The following day, when the first ray of sunlight slanted in through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, Robin woke up with a start and slowly opened her eyes.

In the extravagant room, the man was nowhere to be seen.

Broke pieces of her clothes scattered around the floor. Her body ached when she picked up the clothes that were no longer wearable.

In the end, she found various fashionable women's clothes in an exquisite closet, randomly chose one set, and left the room without the slightest hesitation.

Robin took the elevator straight to the lobby. Only then did she realize that she was at the most luxurious and the only seven-star hotel in C City!

So, that man...

She came to the front desk and asked with a gentle smile, "Hello, may I ask who reserved the presidential suite on the top floor?"

"Sorry, ma'am, the information about our guests is confidential."

This was expected. How would such a place divulge information about its customers so easily?"

As soon as she got out of the hotel, the alarm on her phone rang. She slid the screen to unlock it and remembered her appointment with Isaac Horne to select their engagement clothes.

Heh... engagement, clothes?

Was she still worthy?

Her happiness had been torn apart by the man on that night.

Dragging her tired body, Robin got into a cab. The cold morning wind blew on her face and emptied her heart.

Her boyfriend, Isaac, was as soft as jade. The thought of him melted her heart.

But when she recalled last night, pain hammered her heart.

She couldn't act as if nothing had happened. She was no longer innocent nor worthy of being his bride.

"Isaac, sorry, our paths won't cross!" She mumbled, and tears fell uncontrollably.

She made up her mind to reject the engagement.

She got out of the car, headed straight to the appointed place, and managed to put on a smile.

"Isaac, I'm sorry, I'm la...."

Shocked by the scene in front of her eyes, she swallowed back her words. Like a blade, it stuck in her throat and caused sharp pain.
