Chapter 8 Deliberately Teasing Her

Caper's eyes were tinted with distinct sarcasm. She thought a fruit knife could scare him off?

She looked so weak. If a real villain was here, could she beat him?

Noticing her pale face, Caper took off his coat, walked to the sofa, and sat down like a distinguished gentleman.

"Come here, we should talk."

Alice clutched the knife, her lips trembling, "About what?"

His eyes darkened, "Put down the knife first."

His tone was calm, but his awful eyes daunted her.

Awed by his innately strong energy, she immediately put the knife back in the kitchen.

She soon came back with an anxious face, "What to talk about?"

"Don't you want to explain what happened last night?" Caper sneered.

Indeed, it should be made clear!

"You tell me first! Are you really Ruben?" She frowned.

Aware of her mistake, Caper somehow itched to tease her.

"Ruben is my brother." He answered.

"Really you're twins?" She said in amazement.

Her legs immediately felt weak and unsteady.

"How... how could it be?" She said incredulously.

After a few seconds, she stared at the man and asked again, "Why were you in room 8520 that night?"

As if he had anticipated it, Caper took out a wallet from his pocket, pulled out a black room car with a golden sliver, and put it down on the tea table.

"You went into the wrong room. I was in room 8620 that night. I've rented it long-term."

"Wrong room? How is that possible..." She was not convinced.

She was not that stupid.

"How much did you drink?" He scorned.

Her heart sank. At the sight of the room number on the card, she realized that she really entered the wrong room.

"Why do you live there?"

His dark eyes flickered, and he made up a random excuse, "Business."

"You receive clients there?" Her eyes were filled with shock.

"Receiving clients?"

After seconds of confusion, he got her meaning, fumed, but laughed over anger, "You think I'm in that occupation?"

"Aren't you?" She scorned.

Caper pulled a long face and itched to teach her a lesson. Her head was full of wild fantasies!

"So, shouldn't you pay me?" He croaked.

"How much?" Alice asked anxiously.

As soon as payment was brought up, his eyes were blazing with rage. It was not fun to tease her as he imagined.

He pursed his thin lips tightly. His face looked awful, and he asked fiercely, "What do you think?"

Alice silently considered the case of his level.

She gritted her teeth, went to the bedroom, and took out 10,000 yuan from a drawer. When she came back, she slammed the banknotes on the tea table, "Here's 10,000 yuan, you can go now."

To her surprise, the man's face turned gloomier.

"Not good enough? Another 10,000 yuan?" Alice asked cautiously.

Like an iceberg, Caper just sat there, motionless, but the expression on his face frightened her even more...

The air was filled with depression and tension. In a huff, she walked back to her bedroom.

She came back quickly, threw another wad of banknotes on the table, and shouted, "20,000 yuan for you! And no more!"

With a straight face, Caper demanded, "Ten million!"

Alice was struck dumb...

"Are you crazy? Do I look rich to you?" She barked.
