Chapter 8 That Man's Name is Jim Brown

Sophia fought back her anger. On their turf, she was no match for them and had to obey so that Ethan would suffer less.

She thought to herself and then tossed the box over, "Here is all the money, let my brother go."

Savage's eyes lit up, and he winked at a man next to him. The sidekick walked over, opened the box, and checked the amount, "Boss, 200,000 yuan, no problem."

Savage immediately changed countenance. A broad smile appeared on his fierce face, "Since the money is received, everything is fine. Someone, let Mr. Miller go."

As soon as the rope was cut loose, Sophia rushed up and held her brother, "Ethan, are you alright? How is your injury?"

"I'm sorry, Sophia, I... I'm worthless." Ethan lowered his head and choked with sobs.

Sophia shook her head. Her brother was an innocent and well-behaved kid. How would he do such a thing as gambling? He must be instigated by these men!

She helped Ethan up and looked at Savage coldly, "Can we go now?"

"Go? He-he." Savage stroked his chin and leered at her, "Mr. Miller ate and drank with us, so I should collect some interests."

"Name your request, Savage." Sophia narrowed her eyes and checked her brother who intended to speak up.

"Miss Miller, I assume you're short of money. How about this? You have fun with us for one night, and we write off everything."

"Don't even think about it! I will not let you touch my sister!" Like a ferocious lion, Ethan widened his red eyes, glared at the gang, and shielded Sophia.

"Ethan!" She hurriedly checked him. This was their turf while she and her brother were weak. It was a sure defeat if they fought. "Savage, my brother is ignorant, don't stoop down to his level."

The irritated man relented as the beauty made such a remark, and his gaze at her became even more unscrupulous, "Yup, Miss Miller is correct. Mr. Miller is young and aggressive. I certainly will not wrestle with him, but..."

Undaunted, she gave a faint smile, "Savage, since you found Ethan, I assume you've learned a thing or two about my family."

As his scheme was seen through, Savage looked a bit unnatural, "Alas, Miss Miller misunderstood me. I saw your unfavorable condition and tried to give you a helping hand. Unexpectedly, luck went against Mr. Miller."

So, he admitted that he was behind this. Sophia bore the grudge and spoke again, "So, Savage, where do you think I got the 200,000 yuan?"

"Well..."

"Savage, to be honest, the money was given by a man." Sophia smiled and paced to Savage, "And his name is Jim Brown."

"M... Mr. Brown?" Flabbergasted, Savage widened his bull's eyes.

Jim was known to all walks of life. As the first heir of the eminent Brown family and president of G.R International, he got along with both officials and the underworld.

At Ozark City, Jim was the overlord.

"You don't believe me?" Sophia sneered, took out her phone, and dialed a string of numbers that had been engraved on her mind.
