Chapter 7 Spousal Contract

Sitting in the Rolls-Royce, Rosalie thought of the scene just now and put a hand on her forehead with tiredness.

Why did she show her delicateness and helplessness in front of a man, who she had just known?

She must have been carried away with despair and rage.

After calming down, she felt burning hot on her cheeks and had no courage to look at the man sitting straight next to her.

"You haven't answered my question."

Seeing her back to him, Abel broke the silence in a flat, unconcerned tone.

Question?

She tried hard to recall their conversation.

"Well, I'm half a doctor, and I know my physical condition. I'm fine."

With an inexplicable trace of guilt, she avoided his eyes.

Hearing her reply, John, who was driving, caught a glimpse of displeasure on his boss's face through the rear mirror.

The car lapsed into silence.

That made Rosalie very uneasy.

It was like a dream. Within a day, she lost everything but was inextricably linked with this man.

The strange streets outside the window increased her vigilance.

She seemed to have overly trusted him.

"Where are we going?!"

"The Elegance Community."

When she suddenly turned around, she met his cold eyes and heard his emotionless voice.

Before she looked away, he had removed his gaze quietly.

"Can I go back to pack up my luggage?"

Rosalie lowered her stance and used a consultative tone.

She wanted to organize and declutter her mind. So many things had happened these days.

Abel stared at the red gauze around her hand before he spoke.

"There is everything you need in the Elegance Community, and I've prepared the contract well."

As he said that, a contract was shown in front of her.

It was handed over by Gavin.

When she took it, she saw the blood on the back of her hand and finally felt a little pained.

Her involuntary frown was caught by Abel's pretty eyes.

His left hand in the midair, he began fiddling with the ring there.

Seeing that, John gave Gavin a naughty smirk.

After a while, Rosalie signed the contract without hesitation.

She didn't even see the content.

Why did she believe this man as if bewitched?

Was it merely because she had saved him once?

"We'd better go to the hospital first."

She returned the contract to Gavin and looked at Abel's shoulder.

It had bled uncontrollably several hours ago.

Noticing her gaze, Abel stopped playing with the ring and couldn't help smiling.

"Okay, let's go to the hospital."

John could hear his boss's upbeat tone, which suggested a good mood.

Even Gavin, usually expressionless, showed a surprised look at this moment.

But Rosalie was rather confused – this man seemed very moody.

"When can you give me the thing I want?"

She had no time to think more. The top priority was to figure out what had happened when she was abroad...

And what a role Penny had played behind her father's death!

"Soon."

As Abel replied, he looked into her eyes.

Though covered by lens, his eyes still enchanted her.

His gentleness was even more deadly, but it attracted her to sink into it.

Even if her heart maintained its sense, her eyes slowly fell into the trap of tenderness out of control.

"Boss, we've arrived at the hospital."

As the car stopped, John's voice dragged her out of the trap.

This man was dangerous.
