Chapter 9 Unfaithful Wanton

Harriet's heart raced, and her doubt increased. Why?

Mervyn kept kissing her and became increasingly fiercer. Without a choice, she bit him.

"Ow..." Mervyn grunted and let her go.

He raised his hand to wipe the blood from the corner of his lip with a smile.

"Remember me now?"

Following his words, he stretched out his arm and grabbed her hair.

"Say it!"

"Ah!" Harriet shouted in alarm. Her scalp hurt from his tugging, and she snarled, "Sir, are you insane?"

But did he need to be so angry? Was he suffering from mania?

"Sir, I'm not faking amnesia." Harriet frowned.

"I remember the night at Heaven on Earth and didn't try to repudiate the debt. But I didn't get your message. Besides, I couldn't remember your face clearly and thus came over for confirmation. How about you give me your bank account and I transfer the money to you..."

Mervyn was shocked by what she was referring to.

When she looked at him just now, he thought that... she recognized him!

Turned out she hadn't!

She was excusable for getting drunk that night. What about now?

She was still faking it in front of him? On what grounds! Why?

Anger spewed up in him.

All of a sudden, he clasped Harriet's throat.

Mervyn's eyes were filled with sternness, which dreaded her... For a moment, she didn't doubt that the man wanted to take her life!

But why? Because of that one-night stand?

Did he feel humiliated? He looked exalted. Was he afraid that she would pester him?

Harriet breathed with difficulty and explained brokenly, "Sir, that kind of thing, it's not... all my responsibility! Rest assured, I won't... won't pester you..."

He spoke all of a sudden, "Every unfaithful wanton in this world deserves to die!"

He loosened his grip and tossed her to the ground.

She abruptly lifted her head and glared at Mervyn.

"Ha-ha..." Harriet laughed out, "You're so angry because your wife cheated on you?"

Mervyn was shocked... by her speech!

"Serves you right!" Harriet spat on him, "You keep actresses as mistresses, no wonder your wife cheats on you! You cheat on your wife but forbid her... uh..."

Her jaw was suddenly clasped. Mervyn exerted so much strength that her jawbone almost crumbled!

Harriet frowned, unable to say another word.

Mervyn looked at her and laughed viciously.

"You're right. My wife cheated on me."

Harriet stiffened. For real? It was just her throwaway remarks out of anger.

Mervyn arched his eyebrow, "You know what happened to her afterward?"

... Harriet looked at him. How would she know?

Mervyn sneered and smiled grimly, "She's dead! I killed her!"

Gak... Harriet felt a sharp pain in her chest as if receiving a heavy blow! This man was not only a maniac... but also a psychopath!
