Chapter 5 Nancy, I need your help

"I will let you go but make sure you give me a reasonable explanation before I get back tonight" Lucas pushed her back to the bed and walked out. He was already running late with his appointment with Dolly before Lala came back. He can't keep Dolly waiting for another minute and so he left Lala with the intention of dealing with her later when he comes back.

Lala sobs quietly on her bed. She was thinking of what to do. She does not wish to tell Lucas about her baby.

"Such an animal will never be the father of my unborn child. I don't want him to think that I am using this baby to hold him back." She whispered to herself.

Lala was still engrossed in what to do when Nadia pushed the door open.

"Lala thank God you are here. I need to eat something. Do fast and get my food ready and make sure you tidy up the house. It is a mess. By the way, how could you starve the whole family for the past three days? You are lucky mom was not around she would have punished you for that. I will be waiting" Nadia said and went out.

Twenty minutes later, Lala was still in bed. She did not even respond to Nadia nor consider cooking any food for her. Meanwhile, Nadia thought that her food was ready and went to the table. Unfortunately, when she came to the table, there was no food there. The living room was still untidy.

She furiously rushed to Lala's room. Lala on the other hand has all her clothes packed in her suitcase. The wedding gift which was a brown envelope old Donald gave to her three years ago was on the bed. She was about to put it inside her suitcase when Nadia came in.

"Why is my food not yet ready?" She asked.

Lala ignored her and put the envelope inside her suitcase and zipped it. She then stood upright, and Face Nadia.

"What is that thing you are stealing from my brother? Now open that bag let me take a look right now" she yelled.

Lala grab the suitcase and started moving toward the door without responding to her.

"And where do you think you are going.?" Nadia asked as she grabbed her clothes from the back forcing Lala to turn toward her. Without any warning, Lala slapped her twice on both cheeks.

"I have tolerated you enough in this house. Now get out of my way before you become sorry." Lala said with a cold icing voice. Which sends chills down Nadia's body. She has never seen Lala talk back to anyone before. She used to be obedient and submissive why the sudden change? Where did she pick her courage from? Nadia wondered

"If you dare stop me from leaving I will make you regret your life" she warned and moved out of the room.

Nadia was shocked. She never imagined that Lala could behave like this. However, when she came out of her shock, she followed Lala down the staircase. Lala was already at the bottom of the stair when Nadia ran down to her, at the same time, Lucas came in with Dolly.

Nadia started crying immediately after she saw Lucas. She ran to her brother and put her head on his shoulder and whine more.

"See what your wife did to me. She slapped me twice on my cheeks." Nadia said pointing to her cheeks where Lala's five fingers were printed on them.

Seeing the injuries on his sister's face, Lucas came to Lala and raised his hand to hit her. However, Lala grabbed the hand in mid-air and looked into Lucas's grey eyes, and said.

"If you dare hit me with your filthy hands again then I will make sure you rot in jail"

Lala forcefully throws his hand away from her face. She picked up her suite case and said.

"You will hear from my lawyer very soon" without saying any other words, she left the house. Leaving the man she has loved since she was a child and walking away from her three years of marriage. She has prayed, she has fasted she has also devoted herself to making her marriage work, but in all these years, her husband has longed and desired another woman. He has been cheating on her. He also brought the said woman home and treated her like a queen while he made her his legal wife a slave before his mistress.

She has been enduring and hoping that one day he will love her back. She would have continued to endure if not that now she have a baby to protect from this beast which she married. Lala took a deep breath and smiled.

"I did not waste my three years after all. I have my baby" she said and wipe out her tears. It hurt, yes it hurt, but she refused to show her weakness before Lucas and Dolly especially Nadia who always wish that her brother married Molly or Dolly her two best friends. Out of the hell called marriage and outside the mansion she allowed her tears to dance freely from her eyes.

Lucas was speechless. Never in his life did he imagine that Lala will leave him without looking back. He knew that Lala could never do without him. Lucas believes that whatever he does, Lala must not complain because she adores him. He enjoys the pain and jealousy he always saw in her eyes each time she saw Dolly. That was why he keeps bringing Dolly home.

He enjoys seeing her dress in a sexy way just to make him pay attention to her. He knew how obedient and submissive she was. Lucas didn't bother much because deep down, in his heart he knew that Lala will come back to him.

"Nancy, please can you come back to the mansion I forgot to tell you something," Lala spoke through the phone.
