Chapter 6 Cold meets crazy

Chapter six.

Mrs Tan hasn't recovered yet, she's still feeling drowsy on the floor, Fanny rushed to her and kept fanning her with her hand fan.

"Breathe, Gaeun," Fanny said nervously.

Elizabeth was breathing heavily, Mirabel was shocked and so was Jimmy.

Mirabel didn't wait, she was scared that she might be get into trouble , she rushed out of the restaurant and Elizabeth followed her, while Jimmy strode behind.

"Momma, Momma" Elizabeth called, running after her. She got to her and gripped her arm. She pulled her but the next thing was an instant slap on her face.

"Momma!!!" Elizabeth screamed in shock and held her cheek.

"What was going through your head back there?" Mirabel yelled.

She was about to call her a demon but she took a deep breath and placed her hand on her lips to prevent her from saying it.

" Say it, complete it!! "Elizabeth yelled and wiped her tears away aggressively.

Mirabel was still wearing the waitress uniform, she didn't bother changing, going back would be a bad idea.

Mirabel exhaled and walked away. Elizabeth watched her leave till she was out of sight.

She didn't shed a tear again, Jimmy suddenly touched her shoulder making her startled.

"You scared me," She said as she turned.

"I'm sure, your mom didn't mean what said to you, I'm sure it was just a fit of rage" He smiled and cupped her cheeks.

"It's okay, you don't have to defend her, her harsh words aren't new anymore" She sniffed.

"Should I drive you home?" Jimmy asked, feeling concerned.

"I'm fine, you can go home, thanks for the dinner" She said without a smile.

"Goodnight," She said.

Elizabeth adjusted her bag that was still hanging over her neck properly, and walked away from him.

"Do you know the way?" He asked but she didn't turn back.

Jimmy sighed and ruffled his hair.

"Beautiful night, ruined" Jimmy muttered with a frown.

Stars Medical school ***

(Karen's hostel)

Elizabeth sat in the bed, the windows were open and the cold wind coming into her room.

Silent sobs from her. Her eyes were red and a bit puffy, she has been crying and she can't even stop herself.

The door slightly opened and she turned back, it was Mirabel.

Mirabel rushed the windows and shut it.

"Are you trying to catch a cold or what?!!" She scolded.

"It's not like you care," Elizabeth muttered in tears. Mirabel sighed and sat beside her.

"I care," Mirabel muttered and touched her lap.

"No you don't" Elizabeth yelled and faced her.

"You only love Lola, you don't love me, all you do every minute is treat me like trash, you treat me like an imposter, you make me feel like an unwanted person in this house, like I don't belong here" Elizabeth ranted, pouring out all the anger she had bottled up inside.

"You hate me right?No matter what I do, it's never enough for you. No matter how hard I try to show my love for you, you've never loved me back," She yelled.

"I'm sorry but, you weren't needed when you came, can't you see it, your father wanted a boy, he was like obsessed about it and I gave birth to you and he threw me out, he had a woman outside who gave birth to a boy and I wasn't useful, I'm sorry but you can't blame me for treating you like this, he acted like a psychopath when you were born, he's such a macho man, he sees girls as worthless, so he threw me out on the streets "Mirabel explained.

" But that doesn't give you the right to treat me like a nobody"Elizabeth muttered.

" I met Rowen and he treated me well, treated you like his daughter, another thing led to another and I got pregnant and had Lola, he was good to you before he died,... when you were born I didn't wasn't to regard it, because it was a total disappointment to me and everyone "Mirabel said and it hurt like someone was stabbing Elizabeth with knives in her heart.

The man she thought was her father, isn't even her father, her mom hates her for real and Lola is her half sister, this is too much for her to take in.

" Enough of your story "Elizabeth took a deep breath and shivered.

" Leave my room "Elizabeth said with anger in her eyes.They weren't friendly at all.

" I don't hate you Lizzy,'' she muttered.

" Get out!!! "Elizabeth yelled and hit her fists on the sheets.

" Out!! "Elizabeth yelled loudly.

" I'm leaving "Mirabel said and walked out of her room.Elizabeth screamed and gripped her head and screamed.

Mirabel ran back into the room and walked briskly to her, she sat down and instantly pulled her into a hug.

" I'm sorry "Mirabel said with a sob.

" I see your efforts, I love you, I don't hate, I just have a bit of resentment, forgive me okay "Mirabel muttered, rocking her and patting her back.

Elizabeth couldn't believe she was hugging her right now, that hasn't happened in a long time...

Tan's Mansion ***

"You've logged in on the app now with my picture" Micheal smiled.

"I'm handsome, anyways" Micheal smirked. Kim wasn't close to him, he was standing at the edge of the table.

"Girls would start popping in by tomorrow" Micheal smiled, Kim had a blank face on.

"Why aren't you happy?Your dad won't be disowning you anymore," Micheal chuckled.

Kim glared at him, if looks could kill.

"Hey don't murder me with your eyes" Micheal mocked.

"Wait a minute, why has your mom been screaming like a mad woman, excuse my choice of words though" Micheal smiled.

"I don't know, she said her dress was ruined by a waitress and she was slapped. "Kim said and rolled his eyes.

" I pity your dad "Micheal laughed

"I pity him too," Kim said neutrally.

"I'm going to bed" Kim muttered and turned to leave.

"What the h*ck happened to your neck?" Micheal asked seeing his red neck.

"I don't wanna talk about it" Kim scowled and walked out of the study office.

Micheal shrugged.

Ying's house***

Elizabeth yawned, she was still feeling sleepy but she sat on the kitchen waiting for Mirabel to speak. She wondered why she woke her up.

"Aren't you going to school?" Mirabel asked and dropped a plate of food in front of Elizabeth.

"No," She muttered.

"Why?"

"I'm not in the mood" Elizabeth muttered staring lamely at the food.

"Let's go to the store together then" Mirabel suggested with a smile.

"How is Lola?" Elizabeth asked. Mirabel has just come back from the hospital.

"She's a bit better but she was crying a lot," Mirabel said sadly.

"I gave the doctors, my savings and she's going to be fine for a, few days" Mirabel sighed.

"I'm going to find those that did that to her and I'm going to kill them" Elizabeth said seriously.

"Lizzy, don't get into trouble, '' Mirabel advised.

"Go freshen up, let's go to the store together" She said, meaning their stand at the side of the road, though it wasn't legal but It gave them their daily bread.

"Okay" Elizabeth mumbled.

"Why do you always drive, you've got a god darn driver?!!" Micheal yelled and fanned himself with his hands.

He was about to faint with the crazy speed Kim was using in driving.

"This is all your fault, we are late because of you, the investors might think of us as impotent because of being late, how could you be stupid enough to drink a night before an important meeting" Kim yelled.

"Slow down please" Micheal pleaded.

"I wanna get there alive," Micheal quivered.

Elizabeth was arranging the fruits, it's taking her a long time to do that, she heaved a sigh of relief when she was done.

"Weldone" Mirabel smiled at her and she returned the smile shallowly.

Elizabeth sighed and lowered her gaze, thinking about nothing in particular, she suddenly looked up and was shocked when she saw a car driving crazily towards them.

"Everyone run!!!" Elizabeth screamed and the other traders along with Mirabel ran away from their positions.

The car hit the stands and the fruits and other commodities scattered all over the floor.

Elizabeth gasped, she was filled with rage as the tyres squashed their fruits, she folded her fist angrily as she remembered the time it took her to arrange those fruits.

The car got controlled and stopped. Micheal was the first to come down.

"I'm so sorry, please forgive us, it was an accident" Micheal explained with his heart beating fast in agitation.

"You should be more than sorry" Elizabeth voiced out.

Mirabel held her hand to stop her from creating a scene but as adamant as she could be, she wriggled her hand away and walked to Micheal.

"Look at the disaster you've made," She yelled.

"Miss, I'm sorry, my friend lost control of the car, it was an accident, forgive us please" Micheal said but Elizabeth wouldn't take that.

"Your apologies won't bring back the goods, would it?" She yelled angrily, her body vibrating from anger.

She began ranting and yelling, she had gone berserk.

Kim got pissed off with her reckless utterances and he came down from the car. Seeing him they gasped, they knew him as a billionaire, his face on business magazines, television and even the news.

"It's the business tycoon"

"What's he doing in this kind of place?" A girl asked the others.

"I can't believe I'm seeing him" Another girl replied.

"He's so handsome" the former said.

Elizabeth found the comments annoying, she faced them and glared at the girls shutting them up instantly.

"What more do you deserve than an apology?" Kim asked with an intimidating tone.

Elizabeth faced him and a smirk came on her lips, she recognized him and wasn't surprised by his arrogance.

"Now I understand, you were the fool driving the car" Elizabeth yelled.

Kim couldn't believe his ears, did this unknown girl just calm him a fool.

"How dare you?, You just called me a fool!" Kim said in disbelief..

" Which normal human being drives like a madman in the streets? You are insane and that's why you should be confined to the psychiatric hospital before you kill people!!" Elizabeth yelled.

Kim was taken aback by her audacity.

"It's the money right?" Kim asked with a smirk.

He opened his car door and took out a cheque book, he tore out a slip and took a pen from his suit pocket. He wrote on the check slip and gave it to Micheal, Micheal collected it and handed it over to Elizabeth.

She collected it and saw a huge amount of money there, the other traders were happy.

Elizabeth smirked and tore the cheque slip to pieces.

Kim was shocked and the other trader was not excluding Micheal either.

She threw the shreds at him.

"We don't need your money!!" Elizabeth yelled.

"Proud when you've got nothing" He began.

"Such a pity you wasted such an amount of money, beggars like you don't deserve it anyways" Kim insulted.

Those words ' beggars' echoed in Elizabeth's ears.

"You can patch up the cheque if you still need it" Kim growled and entered into the expensive Rolex car. Micheal followed.

Kim turned on the ignition and began driving slowly from the place.

Elizabeth clenched her fist, she saw a huge stone nearby.

She picked it up, the car was still near, she threw the stone against the car's back window.

The stone shattered it.

"Goodness!!! " Kim yelled and the car came to a stop.
