Chapter 4 Jackson's mom-in-law

Raphael's POV

She looked at me and frowned. Even though I was wearing a mask, I knew she recognized me. My perfume and physique themselves are enough for her.

"What are you doing here, huh? You even have the guts to attend my dad's birthday even if I dumped you just a week ago? You really have a shameless and stupid face, Raphael. Why did you come?" she asks.

"I thought you were just disappointed because of that yacht incident, but I can't believe what I just learned, Nathalie. How can you be so cruel, huh?" I ask. I held her hand that tight. She groaned and glared at me.

"You better loosen that or I'll scream here, Raphael. Let's see who among us might lose its face at this party. Plus, you have no right to question my decision. You can't give me the fame and the world I want. You don't deserve such beauty as mine. Just accept it, loser. Plus, I only dated you because I was bored. At least you pleased me a little in bed," she says.

I can't believe that she can say those words straight to my face without any repentance. She's even proud, showing off and telling me what she dislikes about our relationship.

"Tell me, did you cheat on me with him? Since when? And what in the fucking world can't I give you? I can buy anything that you want, Nathalie. Yes, you're a billionaire heiress, but I'm already close to being one! You should've waited for me!" I yelled in a controlled pitch. She laugh.

"Wait for you? Oh, come on, sweetheart. When? We might die, but your business will never be a billionaire enterprise. Dream on! You want to know why I left you. Jackson will help me in my debut as an actress, and I already signed a contract with his company. Mostly, he is a billionaire like me and an expert in bed. He can make his woman melt in bed."

I showed her how pissed I am. But the smirk that she had in her face is a clear sign that she's not the girl that I pictured in my head. That sweet and understanding relationship with Nathalie was shattered over and over again. Shit!

"Go and pick that girl. You just danced first. I think she's more suited to your taste, and maybe she's someone that you can hook up with. I think she's a gold digger. So be careful," she says with mockery. My jaw clenched.

"I am telling you this. You will never be happy with a man like him. And I will prove my worth to you. You will crawl back to me or worst, you will respect me sooner than you think it could be," I remark.

She laughed instead. I let her go and find that woman. When I found her, she gasped as I snatched her away from Jackson's eyes.

She coughed and shook her head. I think she gets scared because of what I did. I sighed, and I don't know why I feel guilty for what I did. It was strange for me. Especially after seeing that, crap.

"I'm sorry. Did I scare you?"

I grab her tightly, and everyone exchanges with their partners but not us. She blinks and looks at me with confusion. I simply forced a sincere smile.

"Nope, I mean yes. I thought you wouldn't let that woman go."

"Why? You seem bothered, Missy. I wonder why?" I ask.

She looks at me, and I know that she's alarmed because of what I said. But the song ended, and I didn't do anything that might harm her. I send her to their table and leave her with a smile.

While walking towards the table that we were using, I remember what Nathalie answers to my questions. That devil-incarnate woman!

Trevor and Samantha were staring at me. I can see how worried they are because I had the chance to talk to Nathalie. I finally had the answer that I wanted. I will plan my revenge against her. I don't need to kill her, but she needs to learn her lesson.

How did it go? I hope she answered the questions that you have in mind," Trevor asks.

I grab the bottle and drink the wine that I poured in my glass. I feel like my chest will explode because of the pain from all those hurtful words that she says.

"I can't believe that her dream to be an actress is the real reason why she dumped me. I can't believe that woman is a social climber, even if she's an heiress herself. She even told me that I would never be a billionaire like them. I will prove to her that she's wrong. She doesn't know what I'm capable of," I remarked. Their jaw drops.

Trevor stops me from taking the bottle and pouring another shot into my glass again. Samantha looks at me with worried eyes. I sighed.

"She doesn't deserve you, big brother Raphael. If you really want to slap her, then do as you said. She will realize that Jackson is worse than a nightmare. I know that," she whispers.

We looked at her, and we saw that animosity in her eyes while she was staring at Jackson. Trevor grabbed her sister's hands and showed interest in what she said.

I look at Jackson and realize that he's checking some girls' boobs and bums. I can't believe that man. He even has the face to do such stupidity while Nathalie is with him.

"What did he do to you, Samantha? Tell me," Trevor pleaded.

"He offered me once. I met him at a Paris fashion show just a year ago. He unexpectedly knocked on my door, handed me a million-dollar check, and invited me to spend two nights on his yacht with him. I declined, but he kept bugging me. Remember when I asked you to fetch me in Paris, big brother? She's that stalker."

Trevor's jaw clenched, and his eyes were mad when he looked at Jackson. Samantha taps his hands and catches his attention. He sighed.

"Calm down. Don't tell me you and big brother Raphael will go there and punch him. Don't ruin your names with such a man. He doesn't deserve such attention, okay?" Samantha murmurs.

I can't believe that Jackson offers indecent proposals to any models that catch his attention. I was about to pour on my glass when the door opened and a middle-aged woman entered. She starts screaming and pushes the security guards who try to stop her.

"Where are you, Jackson? Come over here, we need to talk! Bastard, come out!" she yells. Wait, who is that woman?

"What are you doing here?" he asks.

I saw how mad he was. He walks towards that woman, and I saw that Nathalie was alarmed. She is talking to some girls who might be models like her.

That woman suddenly slapped his cheeks. She even pointed her finger at him. By the looks of it, she came here for a bigger reason.

"I can't believe that it's true! How can you dump your wife and son just because of another woman? I knew something was wrong with your relationship with my daughter, but she denied it. How can you even date that bitch while your wife is delivering your child, huh? Did you even have a heart? Tell me!" she roared.

"You have no right to yell at me or point that damn finger at me. Your daughter is nothing but a mere secretary who seduced me. You only want money from me, and she will never have any of it! She even has the face to ask for support, ha! I knew that kid was not mine!" he claims.

That woman's face was surprised by what Jackson claimed. But I know, he's the bad guy in that story. When Jackson grabbed her wrist, she slapped him again and was about to punch him.

I stood up and ran towards the commotion. I was surprised when both of us grasped his hand that was supposed to slap her.

"I can't believe you can be this disrespectful, mister," she says.

"Who the fuck...?! Let go of my hand and stay away from my business!" he roared.

I smirk. I grab his wrist and release the woman's hand off him. I shield myself and look at him fiercely. I am taller than him. I'm 6'4, and I think he can be 6'1 or 6'2 flat.

I can't believe that the woman I bump into and dance with will help her. Everyone is just mumbling and acting like nothing is wrong. Her company stood beside her. The siblings also come to my aid.

"What is happening here? Guards!" Nathalie roared as soon as she set her foot on her side.

The guards surround her, but I protect her. I mean, we did. She is surprised because of what we are doing.

"Take that woman. She is ruining my party. I will file a complaint against her," Sebastian says.

I scoff and realize how ruthless he is.

"No need. I don't think you should do that. After all, someone had done bad things to her daughter," she says, looking at Jackson. She glares at him with animosity. Nathalie roared at her.

"Who the hell are you? How dare you side with that old woman?!"
