"Yes" Felix said in his mind as he stared at Dave's hand.

Description

"Its aura is shows that of a E Rank weapon but the pressure and the appearance of the dagger shows that it is of a higher grade" Dave said with exhaustion as he handed the dagger back to Felix unwillingly.

"Where did you get this dagger, I would like to buy it but don't worry, I promise to give you a good price" Dave said to Felix as he stared at the dagger with stars in his eyes.

"Sorry but I am not selling, I have enemies after my life and if I tell you about it, it will only put you you in danger" Felix said to Dave as he placed the dagger in his pocket.

"Who did you offend now Felix, huh?" Dave said with a grin.

"Do you know anything about this organization?" Felix asked Dave as he handed him the assassin's card.

"This... Shadow" Dave stared at the card so intently that Felix thought a hole would appear in it and at this moment, he noticed that Dave's hand was shaking.

"Is everything okay?" Felix asked Dave after seeing his trembling fingers.

"Do you even know who you have offended?.. shadow is one of the biggest underground assassination organization in the city" Dave said in a shaky voice and Felix could sense the fear in it.

"Is this related to your shop's incident?" Dave asked Felix with a grim expression.

"Yes it is and don't worry, I wasn't followed if that's what you are thinking about, I will leave tomorrow so that you will not be dragged into this" Felix said with a smile as he collected the card.

"I don't think you understand the gravity of this situation, their leader is a S rank Esper with the fire manipulation ability, a B rank ability, where did you even get the card, it can be used to track you, damn it get rid of it now" Dave said in a rushed tone as his face became red.

"An S rank Esper, this is bad, I will get rid of it but first I need to use this to my advantage, lure them to me?" Felix said with a smile as a plan suddenly appeared in his mind.

"Are you crazy?, you are talking about luring F rank and E rank Espers to my shop maybe even higher, what has gotten into you?, you are behaving strangely" Dave asked in disbelief because he thought that Felix behavior was a little strange.

"I am no longer the Felix who used to cower in fear or submit to bullying, I am a changed man, you should expect more changes from me" Felix said mysteriously with a smile as he placed the card in his pocket.

"It will take the organization at least two days to find me with all my preparations so in that time, I need to make a plan" Felix thought to himself.

"You can stay here today but you need to leave tomorrow okay, I am already putting myself in danger by keeping you here, your room is second room on the left, you can find a first aid kit there, you look awful " Dave said to Felix while turning off the shop light which made him smile.

Felix walked to his room because he was still in pain from his injuries and after the fight, some had opened up but he had tied them up before coming here so after entering his room he took proper care of his injuries then fell asleep but with his years of experience, he knew that you should never sleep with your two eyes closed.

As Felix was sleeping, he heard a sound which was very faint but with his high perception, he heard it which made him stand up with a start.

He headed to the source of the sound and as he did, he started hearing some voices so he went closer for more clarity and he managed to catch a hint of the conversation.

"Yes thanks for coming, did you bring the money?" Dave said in a quiet voice to someone who Felix couldn't see.

"Yes but first tell me where is he?" A deep voice sounded from inside the room and Felix was 100% sure that he was the one Dave was talking to but he also started to feel rage because he knew instantly who they were.

"That lying betraying son of a... " Felix said but cut himself off because he heard something that caught his interest.

"He is in the second room on the left, what has he got that is so important that you would put up a bounty of 5 E rank beast cores" Dave said to the voice.

"They put up a bounty of 5 E rank beast cores, wait isn't that 5000 F rank beast cores, I don't care I have to get out of here, damn it, I forgot the dagger, I need to go back for it" Felix said to himself as he made his way back to the room.

"Here's the money, fan out and secure the area, find him and the book, if you find him, kill him immediately, he is considered a dangerous target, he killed an F rank assassin so treat him how you would an F rank enemy, he isn't getting out of here alive" Felix heard the voice say as he made his way to the room so he quickened his steps.

He got to the room and found the dagger on the table but as he wanted to take the bag with his things, he felt that it would slow him down so he started to contemplate on whether to take it or not but then he heard footsteps approaching his room so he took out some of the cores and stashed them in his bag while placing the rest of the things on the bed but as he did, his hand accidentally hit a vase on the table.

SMASH

The vase fell off the table and smashed on the ground and as it did, Felix heard the footsteps quicken towards his location so he grabbed the bag and looked around the room for a place to hide.

The door opened and the assassin stepped into the room and looked around the room but didn't find anything so he walked around the room and spotted the broken vase on the ground.

"This must be what broke just now so it means the target is still in the room" The assassin said as he knelt down and inspected the vase and as he stood up and prepared to searched the room, he felt a cold blade on his neck which made his legs go cold then he heard the bone chilling voice filled with killing intent.

"Make a single sound and it will be your last" Felix said to the man with the dagger against his neck.

"Oookay, please don't kill me, I will do anything you ask" The assassin said in fear but in his mind he was thinking, "Wait till you are distracted, you will see what will happen to you"

"Good boy, answer all my questions and I will spare your life but any funny moves and you won't even know how you died, how many are you and what are your ranks?" Felix asked the man as he laughed in his mind, how could he not see what the man was thinking.

"There are 6 of us, we are all F ranks except our leader who is a F+ rank" The assassin said as Felix pressed the knife closer to his neck.

"So six F ranks and 1 F+ rank with unknown abilities against me with years of deadly combat experience I think i can manage these odds" Felix said to himself but his attention was still on the assassin so when the assassin thought he was distracted and tried to disarm him, he immediately pressed his arm against his mouth and slit his throat before following with a quick stab to the heart.

The assassin fell to the ground limply with a look of disbelief as if he didn't believe that he was just killed by Felix but Felix knew why this fight was easier than the first, he had added a point to strength when the assassin came into the room and the element of surprise.

"Ding"

"Now for the next part of the plan" Felix said to himself with a smile as he heard the system notification.
