Chapter 5 Rape

"Dear, where are you going?" Elizabeth Yale asked with her gaze on her daughter while she walked down the stairs.

"I'm hanging out with my friends" Adriana responded flatly without sparing her a glance.

'My poor child is hurting after hearing the news of her engagement. I could have done something if it was in my power' Elizabeth shook her head feeling sad for her daughter.

She had the urge to speak more but she bit down on her lip and watch her daughter walk out of the house.

The driver sped off towards the other district and was soon at the Rock View Estate.

It was bustling and buzzing outside the mansion, the guest were arriving with different car models parked outside the mansion.

'This is going to be tough' Adriana let out a deep breath and put on her transparent sunglasses.

"You can head back home, I would send for you once I'm done" she said to the driver and walked into the Mansion.

"Hey, look at that hottie" Alicia uttered with sparkles in her eyes, she had never seen Adriana dressed so seductively since their years of friendship. Even Adriana was surprised to see herself in this outfit, this was the first time she was getting all dressed up for a party and she hope it won't be the last.

Alicia walked towards her best friend while staring at her with admiration, looking at Adriana now she could feel butterflies in her belly.

Adriana's face heated up as everyone's gaze turned towards her, she had not gotten used to all the attention this made her to quickly close the distance between her and Alicia.

Alicia was smirking all through while standing at the door. "You should be quiet or I will cut off your tongue" Adriana mumbled softly that her words could only be heard by Alicia.

"Well, I'm glad you made it. I've been waiting for you because I'd know you would be shy to walk inside on your own" Alicia said as she grabbed Adriana's hand and pulled her into the massive living room where the party was hosted.

The business school graduates were stunned to see their nerdy classmate looking mind-blowing, everyone was staring at Adriana with admiration while some were scoffing and jealous that she stole their limelight. All the guests invited to the party were all present, and the door leading inside the house was closed.

"Let the party begin" Alicia announced, tapping the wine glass in her hand with a spoon.

Everyone in the living room let out a piercing scream, got up from their seats, and began dancing to the rhythm of the music played by the DJ. Since it was Adriana's first time at a party, she just stood at the corner with Alicia while biting her lips continuously that it turned purple with patches of blood on it.

"You're such a bad boy" Alicia chuckled, roaming her finger on Noah's face.

"I'd always be bad for you baby" Noah responded with a naughty face as he was responding to Alicia's touch and words.

"Damn! You both should get a room, come on Alicia, is this why you dragged me to the party?" Adriana was frustrated and annoyed, she should be spending time with her best friend not watching her make out in front of her with a random guy that just popped out from nowhere. Adriana rolled her eyes, placing both hands on her waist while glaring at Alicia.

"Don't be a dick! This is our party. Get your ass together and dance with the others, look over there" Alicia points to a guy at a corner looking at their direction, "he has been staring at you for a while, but you're shutting him off. Just loosen up and you will enjoy the party, wait! I'll get you a glass of vodka it will do the magic" Alicia snapped her finger at a waiter who immediately walked up to them, she grabbed two glasses of vodka and handed one to Adriana.

"Now you can have fun just like the others" Noah was smirking the whole time, he can't help wondering how Alicia copes with her boring best friend.

'Omg, I don't think I could do this' Adriana thought to herself while staring at the glass of vodka given to her by Alicia, she closed her eyes and licked her lip, 'I can do this, I'm out here to have fun and forget about my annoying parents. I can't go back home feeling angry' abruptly she gulped down the vodka after having a deep thought.

That doesn't end well because the vodka was a strong one and being a novice Adriana got choked and coughed violently that tears brimmed in her eyes and fall freely on her chin. Everyone on the dancehall and also the ones sitting on the sofa were amazed, staring at her with a large grin.

"Are you okay?" Alicia inquired anxiously.

Instantly Adriana's face turned gloomy as all she could see was the people in the living room laughing and making fun of her.

"I'm such a fool, I can never be like everyone else" Adriana uttered and ran upstairs.

On the last floor, she saw a door that was slightly ajar and walked into it. She'd know that Alicia would be up in the next second to berate her, so she left the door open. Adriana carefully sat on the bed, took out her cell phone, and started going through her social media account.

"What was that about?" Annoyed Noah asked Alicia, who was confused why Adriana had ran out of the party.

She ignored Noah, and slowly walked upstairs while checking every room in the mansion, "I told you not to let her come, now look at the mess she has caused"

"If you say one more word about my best friend you will see yourself off the gates of Walton's mansion" Alicia warned as she made her way to the second floor. Noah remained silent and followed behind her.

"Omg Adria, what's wrong? You just ran out of the party without notice" Alicia walked into the open room and inquired the moment she saw her best friend sitting on the bed with her face glued on the phone.

"Don't pretend that you didn't notice what happened downstairs, I made a fool of myself. Everyone is probably laughing at me down there so just leave me alone" Adriana asserted, feeling pained in her heart.

'I'm glad she knows what she has done' Noah scoffed, shaking his head in disdain.

"Come on girlfriend, no one is laughing at you, everyone is busy with their thing right Noah?" Alicia nudged Noah by tapping him on the shoulder.

"Absolutely, you have nothing to worry about you've got us" he quickly responded, heaving a sigh of relief.

"You both should just go down, I'll come down in a bit" Adriana countered after a while. Alicia stood in front of her for a while thinking whether to go down or not, at first she was reluctant to leave her best friend alone in the room while the party had just begun but seeing her pitiful face, she breathed heavily turned to Noah and said, "let's go! Adria, come down later" Alicia asserted and walked out of the room with Noah.

Adriana breathed a sigh of relief and lay down with my belly on the bed. She had thought that Alicia would scold her but it turns out she was also feeling bad for her.

"Bang!" A sound came from the door, Adriana thought that it was her best friend and said, "Alicia, I've already said this: I'll come downstairs when I'm ready just let me..." She froze and swallowed her last word when she discovered that it wasn't her best friend but a strange man had barged into the room aiming toward her.

Adriana was alarmed and jumped off the bed, "Hey! Who are you? Don't come any closer or I'll scream" She was so frightened that she uttered anything that came to her mind. However, she immediately realized that she had made a silly remark.
