Chapter 6 Sebastian

Quinn

I couldn't stand the irritating vibe that was radiating in the limo especially with Jacob's behaviour which got me thinking , what would be Sir Gabriel's reaction if Jacob own was like this.

" Jacob, why does father wants me to be Sebastian mate? " Sabrina broke the awkward silence.

It was very common for alphas to pick a mate for their offsprings even at a very young age for the main purpose of getting powerful alliance but this case was different, everyone knew of the unending war between the Silver pack and the Red Moon pack, so why propose a marriage?.

" It is not my place to tell you that, when next you see your father, ask him " .

" You know, I am willing to allow Quinn to be his mate, I just don't see myself with that man, he is so intimidating " Sabrina said.

" You have no say in this and can you please stop talking about Sebastian? ". Jacob, who seemed to be lost in his own thoughts, stared at me. Not only was he trying to win me over, he now had a competition, Sebastian .

" We are here " the driver said . I quickly rushed out of the vehicle to open Sabrina's door but the moment I stepped down, I saw Mr Gabriel who seemed to had been awaiting our arrival.

" I have always told you, make sure you open the door, don't make me wa... " Sabrina stopped at her words when she saw her father . " Jacob, inside! " He said and left.

It was very clear what the meeting was about, Sir Gabriel wasn't stupid not to send spies to the gathering.

" What are you still doing here, go get yourself useful " Sabrina yelled .

" What have you expected me to do, fight him in an open place? '' Jacob tried to defend himself since Sir Gabriel had accused him of not doing his duty as a beta. "If it was necessary, then you should have done that " , what Sir Gabriel said sounded like noise to Jacob. It was a sacred rule for all wolves never to fight in an open place to avoid any human injury or even worse, death plus Sebastian was way stronger than Jacob.

" That will be impossible, I don't stand a chance against Sebastian, although I hate to admit but his strength is quite astonishing for a young wolf , do you wish for my death? '' Jacob made a good point, even Sir Gabriel wasn't as strong as Sebastian.

The only reason why his pack were victorious in the war was because of the numbers game. The Red Moon pack were known to have the smallest number of wolves in a pack but no one could dare call them weaklings since two of the strongest wolves were members of the pack, Sebastian and his father.

" Yeah you are right but what is it that I am hearing that he wants to mate Quinn and not Sabrina ? '' this was what Jacob had expected him to ask in the first place.

" For an unknown reason, he seemed to be interested in Quinn and didn't even bat an eye for Sabrina and you know what that means? Jacob said.

This was bad for the Red Moon pack, if Sebastian doesn't mate Sabrina then their time, money and the lives that were lost would be in vain. "Does he know that Quinn was a human? '' Gabriel asked.

" I emphasized the word 'human ' to his hearing so he could change his mind but he still proved stubborn and insisted that Quinn will be his mate ".

Sir Gabriel sat down and thought, what was he going to do, there was no way he would challenge Sebastian to a one on one duel, so he had no choice than to continue with the war.

" Arrange a meeting with Sebastian first thing tomorrow morning. I want to hear directly from him that he wants Quinn and if he insists that he still wants her, then I have no choice than to continue with the war that he desperately wants, " Sir Gabriel said . '' Yes my Lord " Jacob bowed and left.

"Sebastian you think you are smart, you dare refuse my daughter and go for that human girl who has nothing to offer you " Sir Gabriel yelled like a madman but in reality he did not dare talk to Sebastian in such a manner.

'' Father I would like to speak with you " Sabrina barged into his secret room.

" what is it ?, I am not in the mood for your nonsense " . Sabrina's expression suddenly changed, she knew her father was a cold man but he tried as much as possible to hide it from her but it was totally different now, the looks on his eyes could kill anybody that it was directed to.

" I.. I just want to confirm if it was true that you are going to give me out to one of your enemies as a mate? " . Sir Gabriel's silence was enough to send the message across, at that moment Sabrina felt betrayed, her father knew how much she wanted Jacob.

" No.. no father, you can't do this to me. Sebastian said he wanted Quinn, why don't we give Quinn to him? " Sabrina's question made Sir Gabriel extremely angry, there was no way he was going to allow me have what was meant for his daughter.

" No!, you deserve someone like Sebastian, not her " .

" I don't want him, father, I won't mate him! " Sabrina exclaimed but to be honest, there was nothing she could do , the only person brave enough to stop this was Sebastian .

"How dare you go against me, get yourself ready because very soon, you will move to the Red Moon mansion" .

" But fa... " before she could finish her words, Sir Gabriel left the lady who was drenched in tears, she was just twenty years old just like me.

' What will people in college say, they will probably laugh at me that I was sold off to an alpha because of an alliance ' this was what had been ringing in her head, she was only worried because of her social status and the high possibility that she might drop out from school if such happened.

" I can't let this happen, I have to let him have Quinn as a mate" she cleaned her tears and mischievously smiled.

" Quinn, Quinn! " Sabrina screamed

" Yes! " I immediately rushed to her, " I just spoke with my father and he has agreed that you will be given off to Sebastian, so prepare yourself, he could come anytime to take you away ".

Not only did her words shock me but there was something else, she sounded scared and for an unknown reason, I sensed lies in her statement but in order not to provoke her, I simply nodded.

" I know you must be really sad but there was nothing I could do, I pleaded with father to turn down Sebastian's request but he refused, he said the union would bring our families together " She continued but there was something that wasn't still adding up .

Sir Gabriel was an easy man you convince, I had been with him for so long to know he has never gone back to his words. If this was an opportunity to get the two packs to be one, why use an ordinary maid. "

Does my father know about this, what did he say about it? " I asked.

"No he doesn't and even if he did, there is nothing he can do since father has made this declaration ". She had just shown a sign of suspicion and knowing Sabrina well, her mind was easy to play with.

" Oh.. I will wait for Sir Gabriel to come back from wherever he went to , I will have to talk to him about it " , as expected her mood changed, she was lying. Sir Gabriel had never said such a thing, for a moment I felt relieved. " He said no one should disturb him about the whole union arrangement and you should just get ready for whatever would come " she quickly left to avoid any further question but the deed has been done, she has been exposed.

After finishing my chores for the evening as usual I overheard some maids gossiping among themselves but I immediately picked interest when I heard them mention 'Sebastian ' .

" What do you think the Master would say to Sebastian, you know based on strength Sebastian is stronger " . I was agaped, Sir Gabriel was a very strong wolf due to his age and maturity , so how come it was possible that a young man like Sebastian was stronger than him.

" Master won't be foolish enough to fight one on one with Sebastian , Jacob said Master only wants him to go according to the agreement by taking his daughter, Madam Sabrina as a mate and not Quinn " .

I was not even surprised that they knew this much information, Jacob had opened the tap he called mouth, since whatever they said was not necessary, I went to the maid's quarter to take a nap.
