Chapter 3 REALIZATION

''I am really confused, Jeff would never do a

thing like this. It has been three days and I have not set eyes on him, I hope

that the worst has not befallen him'' Zack

says in confusion

''Be calm, everything is going to be okay. I

trust Jeff he is a very strong boy'' Zack

brother Blake responds, Blake was Zack's immediate brother, but was very much

close to Zack and came as quick as possible when he heard the fatal news

''I do not know what to think my dear brother,

he has been having this problem with his friends over his dreams'' Zack says looking worried

''Not again. I thought I advised you to stop

him'' Blake yells in disbelief

''Why would I'' Zack replied

''Let the young boy dream'' Zac adds

''Well I sure hope he has not dreamed his way

to death'' Blake says unknowingly as Zack

stares at him

''I'm so sorry, I didn't mean that'' Blake says As a sound from outside

interrupts their conversation, they look outside the window to check and saw

group of guys on mask holding sticks with fire on them

''Ever action taken has a consequence, here is

your consequence Jeff'' One of the masked man yells as they all

throw the sticks with fire on them in front of the house, and almost

immediately they fire starts spreading from the front door inside and smoke

begins to enter the house gradually

''I think they poured diesel around the

house'' Zack says as he stares really

deep outside

''I cannot seem to get the door open'' Blake says as he hits the door with his shoulder

''Push, push'' Zack yells

''I think we are locked in'' Blake yells

''Damn'' Zack

replied

''Try the back door'' Zack yelled as they were both coughing as the smoke had already made

it's way into the house, and the fire was becoming heavy as they ran for

the back down and it was found locked as well as the masked gang had nailed the

doors tight. Zack and Blake hit the door hard to no avail.

''I this how I die?'' Zack asks as he sits right in front of the door coughing none stop

''Who

were does guys?'' Blake asked

''I do not know them, I have ne... Veer

se...T'' Zack continues coughing none

stop, Zack system is allergic to smoke unlike Blake so he was more affected by

the smoke

''Let's try and find a way out of here first''

Blake says as Zack continues coughing, as

they ran towards the rooms the house was coming apart and a side of the wall falls down on Zack, Zack passes out

immediately

''Zackkkkkkk!'' Blake yells

as he moves forward to help Zack up and kept yelling his name to no avail, he

then ran to the room, looks around as he drop Zack, the whole house was almost

down with fire. As Blake notices the window he then runs around the room

looking for something hard and strong but finds none, he then runs towards the

window with full speed using his shoulder to hit the window. It was an old

window so it broke immediately, he picks up Jake and jumps through the window

as he jump the broken glass pierces through his leg and his body as he screams

in pain.

Still That Night

''I do not understand this healer, I though you said he was going

to be okay?'' Jennie says in utter

confusion

''I do not know

what to tell you'' The healer responds

''What is going

on here?'' Jeff ask looking confused

Jennie exhales ''You

got into a fight and you got hit on your head, and I brought you here to be

saved'' Jennie says as she holds his

cheeks in tears

''I'm Jennie,

you've known me all your life how can you not remember'' Jennie says as she burst into tears

''Calm down Jennie,

If this is what I think it is it's not something that needs to be rushed be

calm, what you need to do now is go home, he is fine, you made sure of that,

the rest will be taken care of, you have been here for days, your guardians

would be looking everywhere for you, you would not want to make them worried

would you?'' The healer says tapping her

shoulders

''I...I...I...I'' Jennie tries to say something but the tears

would not let her speak properly

''Go Jennie, he will be fine'' The

healer insist again, as she stands to leave

''B...ye Je.....ff'' Jennie says

as she burst into tears while running out

''Is she gone?'' Jeff asks

''Yes'' The healer responds

''Good'' Jeff says as he

sits up

''I suspected this was a plot'' The healer says as he stands

''I'm so sorry healer but I had to do this, for my own safety, my

own friends tried to kill me'' Jeff

replied

''I understand, but just know you are hurting her by doing this'' The healer adds

''She

will understand'' Jeff says

THE NEXT MORNING

''Long live the

King'' Dabur says as he knells before the

king in his chambers, where the king were surrounding with warriors who were

ready to lay their lives down to protect the king

''You may rise

Dabur'' Mayhem the king says

''Thank you my

Lord'' Dabur replied

What might the problem

be? Mayhem asks

''My Lord

according to reliable sources it was said that a house was burnt down yesterday

night my lord'' He said as he looks at

the king as there was an awkward silence for few minutes

And how is that

any concern of mine Dabur? Mayhem says as

he breaks the silence

''I thought...'' Dabur says as he was interrupted

''You thought wrong Dabur, I thought you

would know me very well now Dabur I do not care if they gather together and

kill themselves, for I will be glad that they do that before I finally decide

to do it'' Mayhem says

''I'm sorry my

lord, but it was the house of the chosen one so they say'' Dabur says

''The chosen one'' Mayhem says as he walks towards a largely open window in his chambers

and put his hands at his back and stares at the sky

''Is he dead?'' Mayhem asked

''I do not know

my lord'' Dabur responds

''Well find out

and report back to me'' Mayhem says

''Okay my Lord'' Dabur says as he leaves the presence of the

king

''And so it

begins'' Mayhem says as he lets out a

laugh

Later that

morning

Heavy knocks on

the door continuously

''Who is that?'' A woman's voices out from inside the house

as she comes closer to see who is at the door

''Where have you

been?'' Jennie mom says as she hug her

Few minutes later

''Are you okay?

Are you fine? Where have you been? What happened?'' Jennie's mom Maria kept questioning her

''Can you let her

speak?'' Jennie's dad Malcolm says almost

angry at Maria

''You can talk

whenever you are ready darling, Okay?''

''I...I...I... I was

with Jeff'' Jennie Muttered

''Jeff?'' Both Maria and Malcolm Screams

''I thought he

was said to have been burnt alive In his house'' Maria says

''Burnt?'' Jennie says in shock

''Yes'' Both parents answer

''No, no, no, I

just left Jeff, he was okay, and he is alive and well'' Jennie replied anxiously

''We understand how you feel hunny, when

you lose someone so close to you'' Her

mom says

''I didn't lose

anyone'' Jennie yells as she runs out of

the house

''Jennie!

Jennie!'' Her parents yell to no avail. As Jennie was running back to the woods

to check on Jeff she bumps into Alex and Amanda

''Hey! Stop'' Alex yells

''Yeah where have

you been, your parents have been looking all over for you'' Amanda adds

''I was with Jeff

as you all left him for dead'' Jennie

says

''He was hurting

Jason'' Alex says

''Jason started

it first''

''Wait, Jeff? If

you were with Jeff the whole time, you should be dead because Emmy said he made

sure no one came o...'' Amanda stops

talking as Alex hits her

''You both know

something about the fire don't you?'' Jennie

says swinging her finger at them

''And what if we

did, he deserves everything coming his way'' Alex responds

''Well you failed

because Jeff is alive and well, and you will always fail because you can't kill

one who is already dead'' Jennie says as

she run off

''Jennie! Jennie!

Jennie!'' Amanda yells as Jennie runs off

''Let her be, we

need to inform Emmy of this new findings'' Alex

says

''Yes'' Amanda says as they run off

The Healer's

House

''Jeff! Jeff!

Jeff! Jeff!'' Jennie screams his name as

she runs to the healer's house, as she gets in she sees the princess but

ignores her and goes to hug Jeff in tears

''What is

wrong?'' Jeff asked

''What is wrong

this time?'' The healer asked as well

''It is.... It

is...'' Jennie mumble words as tears would

not let her speak

''Calm down and

tell me what's wrong'' Jeff asks as he

tries to calm her

''They... They....

They... burnt your house'' Jennie says breathing

really fast from running

''They? Who is

they?'' Jeff says as he gets up in shock

''Jason's brother

Emmy, I think he wanted to avenge what you did to him'' Jennie replied

''Oh my'' The princess exclaims

''Where is my

father? How is he?'' Jeff starts asks questions randomly in shock

''I do not know,

I do not know'' Jennie says as she comes

to a realization and clean her tears

''How do you know

that you have a father? I thought you said could not remember anything'' Jennie asks surprised

''I...I...'' Jeff mumble words
