Chapter 4 4

Calvin Russell hung up the phone while smiling to himself at the thought of Elvira.

It seemed that his unexpected bride had no idea who he was after all.

He picked up his phone and dialed another number. "Where is the car,Carlos? Bring the car here!"

"Yes sir" immediately after that,a glittering Rolls Royce boat tail stopped close to him. A chauffeur in a uniform came down from the car walked to him and took the file bag in his hands.

"I need you to arrange a cheap car for a temporary assignment,Carlos "

After dishing out the instruction to the chauffeur,Calvin Russell climbed onto the back of the car with a muddled mind.

The assignment which seemed like an impossible feat this morning had just been completed without lifting a finger.

He didn't know anything about the girl he had just gotten married to. But,he was supposed to pay someone to get married to him to save his wallowing ass. However, this girl seemed very daring and it piqued his interest.

He simply wanted to know more about her. She was actually confusing him for some Drake. However,the poor Drake of a person just lost a mile.

Twenty minutes later,Elvira was standing in front of an office building and hesitating.

She rummage through her bag and finally found a gold printed business card.

Three years ago, she received an offer from one of the biggest company in the city. It was an offer from Calvin Russell and the card was personally handed over to her by the personal assistant of Calvin Russell.

However, she didn't want to leave Jack Morris on his own to handle everything .So,she didn't bother to give him a call and simply shove the card away.

Now that she was at a dire cross road, she suddenly remembered him. She wondered if he was still using the same contact number after all these years.

Elvira held the phone tightly in her hands ,she was slightly nervous when the recipient picked up the call. "My name is Elvira Duncan, you are Mr.Russell , right?"

After asking the question,Elvira felt silly for asking something like that in this situation.

Then, she noticed that Calvin Russell didn't hung up the call despite her delay to speak.

So, she continued,"We met at the Famed Jewelers Competition three years ago.Your assistant gave me your business card back then and asked me to reach out to you. Sorry,I'm just calling now"

"I remember that" The man's deep voice and simple answers seemed pleasantly calm and Elvira felt at ease. "I have a business to propose and I imagined that you might be interested in this"

After a brief moment of silence,Calvin replied ,"Meet me in my office first thing tomorrow morning.We'll talk about your proposal then"

Elvira immediately figured that Calvin was about to hung up the phone at that point. "I'm afraid,I won't be able to wait for that long.It will be too late if we meet up tomorrow,this is an urgent matter.How about we meet up today? Also,I don't think I can meet with you at your office.Although,I'm already outside your office building.We can change the location, can't we?"

Elvira was so anxious that she ended up spilling out everything she had in mind.After everything said and done ,she finally realized what she did.

Ethereal Jewelry and Groups is not just any ordinary company.It has over 60% of the market shares in the industry nationwide ,and not to mention its various range of products lines and tremendous financial aide .

The CEO of Ethereal Jewelry and CEO is simply a legend in the business world and had managed to hold up a great reputation while keeping his face away from the media. The Prodigious CEO of the company is a well known figure but not many people had the chance to come face to face with him.

Also, his pictures had not been shared to the public since he wanted a low profile. It was miraculous indeed that Elvira had the chance to meet up with him in such a short time.

Yet, she had the nerves to be gutsy and even dared to dictate the details of their meeting to him. Nevertheless ,she only did this because she was going running out of options.

The product launch and Jewelry Design competition is taking place in just two days, so it would be too late if Elvira were to meet up with him tomorrow. Also meeting up with him at the company may attract attention to her.

Jack and Chloe might also get a wind of her recovery.

Elvira's grip on her phone tightened involuntarily and she became even cautions about her breathing.

This time, she wanted to put all her eggs in one basket and hope that it hatches good chicks.

They had a breathing completion for roughly two minutes.It was silent on the other side of the line and Elvira was dying silently.

Elvira thought that Calvin was about to turn down her offer without giving her a chance at all.

However, just as she was about to conclude her fate, Calvin spoke," Alright , meet me at Rendall Gardenscapes in twenty minutes "

Elvira heaved a heavy sigh of relief and a smile appeared on her thin lips as she said,"Thank you...." Before Elvira could finish her words,Calvin but in and said. "Don't forget to bring all the necessary documents with you.I don't have time for delays,I might not have the patience to wait another three years for you"

"What? Wait!" Elvira was confused by his words,but before she could ask for clarity,Calvin had already hung up the call. Elvira couldn't digest Calvin's world and simply took a hard gulp.She wondered if she didn't heard it wrong.

However, she didn't have much time to waste thinking about unnecessary things right now.

She changed the expression on her face and dashed towards the direction of the Randall Gardenscapes.

Thankfully ,the Rendall Gardenscapes was not far from the Eathreal Jewelry . So, she arrived on time.

Calvin Russell on the other hand was too engrossed with the identity of his new wife that he couldn't go out to do anything. Because of this, he called up Henry and ask him to meet with Elvira in his stead.

Elvira arrived at the Rendall Gardenscapes in less than fifteen minutes.Just as she was about to made her entry into the cafe when someone called out to her.

"Ms.Elvira Duncan?" The man called out her full name and looked at her with certainty.

But, she had no idea who he was. "Come with me,Mr.Russell is waiting for you over there"

Then,he beckoned on Elvira to walk in another direction. She raised her head and glanced at the direction that the man pointed and saw a gleaming Rolls Royce parked by the roadside.

Elvira immediately understood what the man was getting at. Without hesitating ,she walked towards the car and the driver opened the door for her.

She couldn't see anything inside of the car except for two pair of long legs done in black leather shoes. when Elvira got into the car, she quivered due to the cold oozing from the air conditioner in the car.

She was still not fully recovered and cold placed have a huge effect on her. Then she raised her head and looked at the man and said,"Good morning,Mr.Russell.I...."

"Give out your proposal immediately and get straight to the point." Calvin's response was swift and cold. Elvira was caught off guard.She stopped talking and took a quick glance at him.
