Chapter 2 2

After a sleepless night,Elvira finally heard footsteps drawing closer to her ward in the early hours of the following day.

She quickly fell back on her bed and faked coma.

Soon enough,the person walked into the room in her high heels.

"Vira is still in a coma.Did I get pranked by someone last night?"

Sandra Jones looked at the slumbering figure of Elvira and signed.

"I can't believe I'm so stupid.How could Vira call me when she clearly in a coma!".

She slapped her head and walked to the bed.She sat beside Elvira and took her hand into hers.

"I wish you listened to me from the start.You don't know what is going on around here.Please,wake up soon,Vira,I can't live without you"

Sandra teared up as she said these words.She was so emotional.

Her tears fell on Elvira and she quickly retracted her hand.

"You didn't have to act like such a baby,Sandra.I'm not dead". Elvira puckered her lips and winked at Sandra.

Sandra was flabbergasted by this,she left her mouth wide open and couldn't say anything.

However,in the next splitting second,she got over her shock and was about to squeak when Elvira grabbed a hold of her.

She covered her mouth with a palm to stop her from screaming.

"What do you think you are doing? Are you trying to get me in trouble?" Elvira whispered in her ears.

"Shut up and sit here.Don't say a thing "

Elvira pointed to the bed,and Sandra sat down confusedly.

"Have you brought the items I asked you to bring along? Where are my identity card?"

Elvira asked.

"Here,I brought them.What are you going to do with them? Sandra seem worried.

"You don't have to worry about a thing.Also the model,where is...."

"He'll wait for you at the registry. I told him everything and he is willing to succumb". Sandra said before Elvira could finish her question.

"Good,I know I could always trust you.Thank you,bubble Gum" Elvira smirked as she took a look at the papers in her hands.

"What's that? I told you not to call me that!" Sandra feigned exasperation and wrinkle her face in anger.

"Sorry ,sugar gum." Elvira smirked. "One more thing,I need you to go to the bank and get the finished product of the Fire Pearls along with the documents .I need to make use of it now". Elvira swivels to look at Sandra.

"Are you sure about what you are doing? What's going on? Tell me!" Sandra was agitated.

"I'll let you know soon enough.Just do as I say,we don't have much time. Chloe and Jack will be here in five hours". Elvira said,looking out the window.

"Here we go again.It's always about Chloe and Jack,I don't understand you at all. When will you wake up from this dire dream?"

Sandra said annoyingly.

"I'm in love with him.Just don't worry about me"

"Fine,I'll go arrange everything" Sandra picked up her bag and looked at Elvira once more.

"Let's go". Elvira changed her clothes and said.

"Oh my gosh!! It's getting really late!"

With a speeding pass,Elvira pushed open the door of the cab she boarded.

As soon as she came down from the car,she looked around the place while chewing a bubble gum.

The place was as remote as she had hoped, but the person she was looking for wasn't here.

She frantically glanced at her watch. It was already seven in the morning, the model was still out of sight.

Did she come late or was the man himself late? Wait? What if he left already?

Elvira soliloquies as she look around for the restroom.Upon sighting the bathroom,she went in and locked herself up there.

She sat on the toilet seat and brought out her phone and looked at the series of messages sent by Sandra.

"Vira,I have informed the man to meet up with you near the Town registry.Don't waste time,he's a struggling model and he needs all the assistance to elevate himself.He also needs a place to stay. Don't drool over him,Honey gum ,he's not into girls"

This unknown model was the only hope that Elvira had.

The worst part is,her witless friend failed to share the photo of the man. On top of that,Sandra's phone is not going through.

Thinking of this,Elvira was mad.How could the so called serious business minded model not in sight yet?

Frustrated, Elvira came out of the restroom and went to the wash basin to wash her hands

The way her ex-fiancé and her best friend cheated on her,behind her back, it had drained her emotionally and mentally.

"God! I need to find this man. I need to show those ungrateful guys who they are messing with."

She came out of the restroom area letting

her eyes slide over the hall. She missed a heartbeat when she found a tall man in a blue shirt sitting on the corner table. He had a laptop opened in front of him and in no way did he seem like a struggling model.

She could not see his face because of his

head buried in his laptop screen, but he was

rearing a branded suit. May be because he

was a model and needed to take care of his

appearance.

"Oh, thank God! Thank God! He is here!

Thank you, Sandra.

She sent a silent hug to her best friend and

moved towards the table. When he did not raised his head.

She tapped her fingers on the table. The man raised his head and was surprised!

The man raised his head and holy fire!

She forgot to breathe. She wanted to remind

herself that she was not dreaming.

Damn you, Sandra. Why didn't you mention

that he was crazily , sizzling hot! Shit

man! This handsome man is gay!

"If you are done checking me out, I have

work to do." A deep male voice appeared close to her. His icy blue eyes were staring into

her green ones.

"My gosh! He was a Greek God! And ... he was

looking... at her!

Oh! He was waiting for her to speak. How foolish she was!

"Um. I... I am Elvira Duncan . I .." She

stuttered and then felt like a fool. While extending her hand towards him expecting

handshake.

But instead of reaching out to hold it, he kept staring at her,placing his fist under his chin.

She felt a little uncomfortable. This guy is so hot but he also appeared to be a certified bastard! . Gosh! She needed him.

Despite how she felt at this moment.He was still her one and only hope.

With a fake, over bright smile, she sat in front of him, "Listen Drake!" When she called his name he eyed her as if she had gone crazy.

The man did look like the movie star,Drake Stanton . But she did not want to offend him by teling him that.

"Sandra must have told you about my desperate desire to marry someone."

"Excuse me?" A sharp flicker of interest

shimmered in his eyes.

"Listen Drake,. Sandra told me everything

about you. I have got this cozy apartment , with a small bed. You can move in with me later and take the bed if you want"

Now she got his attention and placed her

hand on his arm, "My money is being held up by someone but I'm going to find a way to pay you soon enough .Once I will recover it. I will pay you handsomely. I can also help you with your struggling career. I have got friends in the

modeling industry."

She did not want to sound desperate but

was there any choice? For the first time, she noticed the ice cracking in his eyes.

He eyed her hand lying on his arm. She saw a trace of fervor . But it was there just for a moment. She could swear she saw it.

"So what do you say?" He realized, she as waiting for his answer.

"When do you want this marriage thing,Miss?

"What? It's Elvira. Let's get married soonest.Whatever suits your schedule.I just don't want over delay "

"How about now? Is it possible to get married now?" He raised his brows and said.

"Really?" She was not expecting him to agree so readily.She thought she would have had to talk him into it but he just agreed without a fuss.

"Let's get married now.Otherwise,don't blame me for backing out later".

He stood up from the chair,closed his laptop and got ready to exit the place.

He also saw Elvira getting up from her seat and walking towards him while rounding the table,with her hips wriggling and sexy long legs.

Elvira once noticed him,giving her a full outlook but she didn't care to ask about it.

This was not the best time.

Elvira thought she was ready for everything that was going to happen henceforth.But,she was gravely mistaking.

Her heart fluctuated at the thought of a contract marriage. She smiled and looked at the handsome man in front of her.

"Let's go"
