Chapter 7 Moving Day

"I'll take any room after you choose," Forth said, opening the box containing cutlery-plates, docks, forks, bowls, and glasses, which his mother had sent him.

Leah Jamorhnoom insisted on sending all the cutlery to Forth because according to Leah, her youngest child should start learning to live more civilly starting with eating with proper utensils instead of straight from Styrofoam and plastic spoons.

Leah learns that Forth will be staying with a friend at the house that Wine bought, she even sends a pot, a fryer, and a microwave.

Rain looked at all the things Forth was arranging in the kitchen in amazement. He stood next to Forth and helped him wipe all the things before Forth packed into the closet.

"Forth, these were all sent by your mother?" asked Rain.

Forth scratched the back of his neck grinning. "My mom is so happy that I'm moving into a house instead of the one-bedroom apartment she calls the wolf's den. She wants me to learn how to take care of the house."

"I think your mother expects you to move into a house not just by yourself but with a wife," Rain joked. He lifted something from the bottom of the box. "Look, he even sent a recipe book too. Easy and simple cooking for beginners."

Forth covered his face with his palms and sighed. "Well, I think she'll be satisfied when she meets my housemate. Good thing it was you."

"Huh?" Rain tilted his head, wondering what Forth meant. "What do you mean?"

"If my mother wanted a woman to be my wife, well, you are far more beautiful and capable than any woman I know."

Rain was stunned. Slowly, a blush spread to his cheeks. He hit Forth's shoulder with the book in his hand. "Don't talk carelessly, Forth. I'm a man. I'm handsome, not beautiful."

Forth chuckled and turned away. He stood slightly bent so that his eyes were level with Rain's. "You should look in the mirror now, Rain. The blush on your face makes your face look even more beautiful. You're stunning, amazing, adorable."

"Stop it, Forth." Rain turned his face the other way. "You're drunk during the day."

Forth's face was only a few centimeters from Rain. He could clearly see Forth's beautiful, large, warm brown eyes under the thick eyelashes and eyebrows.

Forth's breath was warm and smelled like cinnamon against his skin. Forth moved Rain's chin with his index finger and without thinking, landed a short peck on the tip of Rain's nose.

"I haven't drank in a long time. There's something else I'm addicted to now and it has absolutely nothing to do with drinking."

Before Rain could reply, Forth turned back to his work. He needed to avoid the urge to kiss Rain's lips, which were moist and red like cherry.

Rain quickly distanced himself from Forth before he burned his own desire. The tip of his nose felt warm after Forth's kiss earlier and he had to do something so he wouldn't rush to ask Forth to kiss him again.

"Uhm, Forth, may I take the room closest to the stairs?" asked Rain hoarsely.

Forth smiled and nodded. Rain's husky voice sounded so... sexy. Ugh, stop it, Forth, you're going to frighten him with your perverted thoughts. Forth rebuked himself mentally.

Forth pointed to some boxes in the living room. "That's your stuff? Let's carry it all upstairs so we can tidy it up to our respective rooms and tonight we won't have to sleep on a pile of unpacked stuff."

Forth and Rain worked hard to clean up all the things in the house. They pause for lunch ordered through a delivery app and continue until just before dinner.

Rain had just finished putting his suitcase on the cupboard when Forth entered his room.

"Wow, Rain, your room is so neat," Forth snorted in admiration. He looked around Rain's room while standing in the middle of the room. "It's like a medical student's room."

"I'm a medical student, Forth," Rain said with a laugh. "Are you done?"

Forth plopped down on Rain's bed. His legs dangled down and he squirmed like a caterpillar. His shirt lifted as he did so and Rain caught the brown, muscular skin beneath the shirt. Rain gulped and quickly looked the other way.

"It's done and I'm so tired. I shouldn't have showered before dinner. Now I'm getting sleepy." Forth muttered and shifted his body to the center of bed.

"Hey, don't sleep yet, Forth. I'll take a quick shower then order dinner for us."

"Hm ... go take a shower, then. I am waiting here," Forth muttered again.

Rain took the clothes to sleep and went into the bathroom. The warm water splashing against his body was pleasant. Rain came out of the bathroom drying his hair and saw Forth curled up on his bed hugging his pillow. He snored softly.

Rain tiptoed over to the bed and climbed carefully next to the Forth.

Forth's hair fell to his forehead. Rain reached out hesitantly, but then, his need to touch Forth felt urgent.

He touched Forth's hair and brushed aside the bangs that had fallen to his forehead. Rain traced Forth's facial features with the tip of his index finger, from forehead to nose and stopped at Forth's slightly parted lips.

Rain's heart was beating twice as fast. These were the lips that kissed his nose earlier, soft and warm. "You're so handsome," Rain whispered, looking at Forth dreamily.

Rain lay down next to Forth, facing him. He liked the sight of Forth's eyes being closed and his soft breath gently blowing. "Looks like we won't be having dinner," Rain muttered as he stroked Forth's hair. "Besides, I'm not that hungry either."

Rain positioned himself closer to Forth. "I'm also going to lie down for a bit before turning off the lights downstairs."

Rain closed his eyes. Tiredness made him immediately fall asleep. Some time passed when suddenly Rain opened his eyes and met Forth's eyes who were staring at him.

Rain stiffened. His face was very close to Forth and his arms wrapped around Forth's neck comfortably.

Forth smiled and whispered, "Hi, beautiful. You slept very well."

Rain nervous. He moved away from Forth, but Forth's hand grabbed his waist and held Rain in place, make Rain blushed. "F-Forth... what time is it?"

"Hm ... looks like it's the middle of the night," replied Forth. He shifted closer to Rain. "You must be really tired."

"I ... you slept when I finished showering, so I fell asleep too," said Rain shyly.

Forth smiled and leaned closer to Rain. "You smell so good," Forth whispered. He kissed Rain's hair gently. "Like vanilla and warm chocolate. You smell delicious."

Rain closed his eyes and felt Forth's lips touch his forehead then down his nose. A thousand butterflies make a move together in Rain's stomache.

"F-Forth..." Rain whispered hoarsely.

Blood was rushing under his skin and his heart was beating very fast. Forth pulled Rain closer to his body, until he felt Rain's heartbeat mingle with Forth's heartbeat.

"Rain," Forth whispered in a deep voice. "I want to ... kiss you. Can I?"

Rain opened his eyes and stared into Forth's piercing eyes. He moved slowly and pressed his lips together, kissing Forth passionately.
