Chapter 6 He Smile Like Idiot

"I only have to pay half the price I usually pay for the apartment I'm in now, but I can get the whole house. That house is very spacious, has a nice design and luxurious. That's great, right?"

"How come? Is Forth paid for you? Wow, that youngest Jamorhnoom so generous," said Kit.

Rain smacked Kit's shoulder. "No, stupid! Liste to my explanation first. But, yeah, that Jamorhnoom indeed so generous. Forth always paid for our lunch and dinner. He refused my money and said that he was gladly enough had me as partner because he trusted my opinion and taste."

Pharm grimaced, seeing the enthusiasm Rain showed when he talked about the house he and Forth would share in the next few days. Pharm's Uncle has already given the news that his house has been bought by Wind Jamorhnoom-Forth's brother, without bidding and being paid in full at the time of the transaction.

Forth also told Pharm that he had already paid to Wind a half of the price of the house, with the money he made from the first payment of his work which passed and secured a patent in his name.

Pharm had promised Forth, in the name of the brotherhood, that he would keep the secret about the house from Rain. Forth didn't want Rain to feel burdened.

"You're lucky, Rain," Kit said. "If only my apartment had been paid to live in until graduation, I might also be interested in living with you."

"Forth's brother bought the house for investment and allowed us to live there for only half the price as long as we promised to take care of the house. He was very generous. He even gave me another 10 percent discount for paying to stay for two years," continued Rain with a big smile.

"Phi Forth also pays rent to his brother?" Wayar asked surprised.

"Of course. I also asked Forth about that and he said that when it comes to business and investment, the Jamorhnooms are very strict," Rain said seriously.

"But they're brothers, why do you have to count money?"

"Forth said that his brother had wanted to buy him an apartment for a long time but he always refused. Kit tilted his head with his eyes fixed on Rain. He nudged Pharm. "Pha, are you sure it's safe to let Rain stay with Forth? I'm a little suspicious, Rain has a crush on Forth. Look at the way he talks about Forth."

Meanwhile Rain was still talking about Forth to Wayar and Kwan who were listening intently.

Pharm smiled and patted Kit's shoulder gently. "Rain is as straight as an arrow, Kit, don't worry. Forth and Rain wouldn't be a good match for lovers. Both have high egos and are stubborn. They are not easy to deal with one by one as individuals."

Kit looks dubious, but he knows Pharm is a careful person and always considers things well before judging. "Well, then you think, I trust you, Pha. Besides, I think it's good for Beam too, given the financial situation they are in right now."

Pharm nodded in approval of Kit's words. He had already discussed this with Forth and hoped that Forth could help Rain a little so that he would not be too burdened by the cost of renting a place to live. Gentleman Agreement, as Pharm and Forth called the agreement between them, to support Rain quietly.

"Rain, let's eat ice cream at Phi Gempi's place," said Pharm suddenly.

Wayar looked up with a furrowed brow. "You just ate ice cream yesterday, Phi Pha," Wayar said surprised.

"Come on, Babe, I still want to taste the avocado ice cream from yesterday. It's so delicious," Pharm whined cutely.

Wayar smiled softly. He grabbed Rain and Pharm's hands. "Come on. I'll treat. My dad sent money to buy shoes bigger than I asked for."

Kit and Kwan cheered. Rain also laughed happily. He really likes the rum raisin ice cream at Gempi's Phoenix ice cream shop.

Rain took his phone from his pocket and typed something while walking behind Phaem-Wayar and Kwan-Kit.

[Forth, you still have class?]

[There is one discussion class until 4 in the afternoon. You?]

[I've just finished. Me and the others are going to eat ice cream at Phi Gempi's shop, do you want to come?]

[I'm not sure the timing will be right, but would you mind buying a big box of rum raisin ice cream and a big box of that newly launched avocado ice cream?]

[Forth, you'll get fat if you eat those two big boxes of ice cream.]

[You don't like it when I get fat?]

Rain suddenly laughed. He imagined what Forth would look like if he were fat.

"Hey, Rain, why are you laughing to yourself?" scold Kit."

"It's okay, just thinking of something funny," Rain replied as he opened his car door.

Behind the wheel, Rain did not immediately start the engine. He replied to Forth's message.

[I will decide whether I like it or not if you are fat after seeing it. I'll buy you 2 jumbo ice cream boxes.]

[Cool. I'll pick it up at your place tonight. Dimsum from the agriculture faculty canteen is delicious, would you like it?]

[Bring 2 servings]

[Sure, my Queen. Let's be fat together.]

Rain scowled at his phone screen. He put his phone in the passenger seat before starting the engine. Somehow Forth liked to call him Queen to tease him. It was even weirder because Rain liked that title.

Rain shook his head smiling to himself and started his car, following Pharm's car.

Meanwhile in one class of engineering, Lam and Park elbowed each other, watching Forth smiling at his phone.

"Who is he exchanging messages with?" Park whispered to Lam.

"Rain," Lam replied simply.

"Rain? There's no way his face could be that happy just from exchanging messages with Rain." Lam snorted.

"How much are you willing to bet, if I'm right?"

"I'll pay for your lunch for a week."

"Deal."

Lam then leaned towards Forth, pretending to be kissing Forth on the cheek and surprising Forth.

As Forth leaned away, Lam took his phone and handed it to Park.

"Hei, Lam, what are you doing," Forth snapped.

Park opened Forth's phone and after a while he gave it back to Forth.

"That's right Lam, it's Rain," Park replied with a grin.

Lam grinned in satisfaction. "See! He always smile like an idiot while texting Rain."

Forth frowned. "What are you guys doing?"

Park and Lam explain their bet. Forth groaned and hit Lam's head lightly. "Even so, your lunch is always paid for by Park, without you having to bet, idiot!"

Lam was stunned.

Park glared at Forth.
