Chapter 6 SECOND CLASH

Damon's POV

It's a beautiful Sunday morning today and I am getting ready to go to my place. It has been a happy few days with my mom. To say I am happy, sanguine and serene is an understatement. I love spending time with her, spoiling her and her spoiling me. At least she didn't bring up the whole girlfriend thing again. But I know that since I am now going she's going to bring it up and that I am sure of.

As I finish packing up the last bit of my things I heard my mom knock and entering at the same time.

Damon: Good morning mom.

Mom: Morning Dammy my boy.

Damon. Haha mom you make feel like a little boy again.

Mom: It's because you will always be my little boy Dammy. You know I love you right.

Damon: Yeah I do and I love you too.

Mom : Sorry if I sounded a bit hard on you or like I am pressuring you the other the day. Just that I am looking out for you and I want the best for you. I pray you will find a good woman who will make your heart skip. I know you didn't have the best of life or the best family background growing up but I love the man you turned out to be.

She said whilst tearing up a bit and this made my heart crush. I had sworn to myself to never make my mom cry unless it's tears of joy

Damon:I wiped the tears of her cheeks. It's fine mom, I know I know. I know you love me. I promise you I will make the right choices. I will make you happy. I love you.

Mom: It's fine my baby. So, I didn't see your driver and/ or any of your guards outside are you going alone.

Damon: Yes, I told Tony to meet me at home. I will use one of your cars and then I will send the driver with it back here if it's okay with you. I was going to ask you when I see you but you came to see me instead.

Mom : It's fine. I will meet you downstairs. What do you want for breakfast.

Damon: Nothing, I am already running late. I will buy coffee in town.

Mom: OK fine.

I finished packing up and said my goodbyes to my mom and drove off. When I got into town I decided to go to Café Grant to have some coffee and breakfast. I wore my cap to hide my face cause I am not a fan of journalists and being in the newspapers or even attracting the crowds. I like my life to be as private as possible but it's kind of difficult when you are known by everyone including a newly born.

I ordered my coffee but as I turned on my heels to take a few steps I crashed on to someone before I had lifted my head to see where I was going. Then I heard a shatter sound of something that fell and broke and cursing that follows from a sweet angelic voice. Well talk about fate!

Emily's POV

It's Saturday and I am not working today so is Syd. As we were chilling out my phone rang and it was the mechanic. He told me to come pick my car up tomorrow morning since he won't be available the rest of the day on Sunday.

Early Sunday I woke up and prepared to go to the garage. I took my laptop with me because I wanted to go and sit at the café whilst I finish some of my work for Monday and then go to the mechanic around 8/9 am.

If I stayed home with Syd I wouldn't be able to finish my work. So I bought my coffee and I got to work. I was so locked up in my work and when I was done I closed my laptop and stood up to pack my things and go.

When I lifted my laptop to put it in the bag I felt a like wall bumped onto me. I lost my balance and my laptop fell from my hands and it fell on the floor. It was so quiet in the café and the shatter sound took over that moment.

Emily: Ohh shit for fuck sakes, my laptop! Can't you see where you're going Mr Man.

Damon: Ohhh, I am so sorry.

He said whilst kneeling down to take the laptop and hand it to me.

Emily: Sorry is not going to fix my laptop. Wait a minute, I know you.

Damon: No you don't.

Emily: Yes you are that rude and arrogant guy I met last week. I am surprised that you have it in you to apologise. Just give me my laptop. You are so clumsy and blind.

Damon: I wasn't even in town last week and stop calling me names.

Emily: No no no, you were in town. I mistakenly spilled coffee on you and you blew up.

Man: Ohhh it's you huh the walking disaster, I guess you saw me and did this on purpose so that you can make an excuse to get back at me.

Emily: Aagh you are unbelievable. I can't believe this. Oh my God. Dock!

I took my things and headed straight to the door and went to the garage to pick up my car. I took my car from the garage and and went home. I was happy about my car but I was fuming inside with anger. That guy really had the guts to turn he's mistake against me. When I got home I told Syd the whole incident.

Syd: And you said he blames you and you set him up.

Emily: Can you imagine. I can't believe it.

Syd: But is he cute though?

Emily: Really Syd. That's all you have to ask.

Syd: Yeah I want to know!

Emily: Fine, fine he's very handsome and he has deep blue eyes.

Syd: Wow, he sounds dreamy already. Tell me more?

Emily: There is nothing more to tell other than he's arrogant, rude and every bad characteristic you can find. But I can't place where I have seen his face before. His face looks way too familiar, I can't place it but he's quite popular I am sure of that.
