Chapter 5 They Face Demora's Servants And The Residency In The Gulod

Because of Cassandra and Ramon's escape to Avalonia, Demora is furious because she lost the baby she wanted to kill in Cassandra's womb. Because of that she ordered her soldiers to look for Cassandra in any corner of the land and they would just take them to Demora. She also ordered the crows to kiss Cassandra.

"All right! Find them. Don't come back here if you're not with them!" Demora raised her cane and parted the energy fence at the border of the kingdom.

Her soldiers of werewolves, pawns, gorrila, crow and harpes passed through the middle of the energy fence when the fence broke.

Under the basement, the captives were rejoicing. The king smiled as well. The menotorong tried to silence them but the prisoners continued to shout even though the guards were beating the jail.

"Stop it! Be quiet!" smoky nose of the basement chief guard.

Out of irritation, he just went back upstairs.

"Your end is near, Demora. The baby who will destroy you will finally be born." King Eleuterio was caught in an iron railing.

Cassandra and Ramon first rested by the side of a big tree when they reached the top of the mountain. Ramon also unloaded the belongings he and his wife were carrying. They sat on the rock while panting.

"Let's rest here first, Dear, my stomach hurts." Cassandra sat up with her stomach tightened.

"Why, Honey? Does your stomach hurt?" Ramon's language hesitation.

Cassandra nodded.

"All right, but we shouldn't stay here long. Maybe Demora's staff will follow us." Ramon promised his wife.

"Honey, I'm thirsty. Please get me some water," Cassandra said breathlessly.

"All right, just a moment and I'll look for a stream. You're just there and if you feel anything around you, hide there in that cave." Ramon pointed to a cave seventeen meters away from where they were.

"All right." Cassandra said.

Ramon left to look for a source of water until he came to a clean and clear stream. There is no stain of any garbage or dirt. Its stream is silvery, coming from the top of the mountain.

"Okay, clean water here." Ramon immediately approached the location of the stream.

About a hundred meters beyond the distance of the stream to the place where he left his wife. Fortunately, Cassandra's stomach is not too big yet because she is only in her second month and she is still experiencing a little stomach pain.

"Where is my wife? I'm thirsty." He spoke thoughtfully.

Ramón first looked for a container of water. He walked around the stream to find at least one coconut shell. He saw a beautiful plant with red heart -shaped flowers. He picked up the flower leaf because it looked like a small dish plate.

"It's okay." He picked up a leaf.

He did not tamper with the flower but only the leaf. He went back to the stream and drank first. The water was like ice water when it flowed down his throat until it reached his stomach. He even drank more until he was comfortable enough. He also washed his face.

He ran out of water to take to his wife but suddenly a magical nymph appeared in front of him. It was wearing a long white dress that shone with whiteness. It also has a crown of leaves on its head and its face has something like glitters that sparkle. Her ears are pointed at the tip of them and she is also holding a stick.

Ramon backed away and almost spilled the water he was holding.

"Who are you?" Ramon asked in shock.

"Don't worry. I won't hurt you... I'm Alleya, the princess of the mountain and the guardian of this stream," the princess explained in a cold voice.

"Please excuse my daring to drink water here in your stream. I'm already thirsty," Ramon replied.

The princess approached him a little.

"Don't worry about that. I'm ready to help those in need. Especially a man as handsome as you." The nymph's face came closer to Ramon's as if she was kissing him.

"Ah, I'm sorry, dear princess. Can you send me away because my wife is waiting for me. She needs to drink water," Ramon said.

"Wife? You're married," Alleya couldn't believe that Ramon was married because her young charm was still young.

"Osige na nga. Bumalik kana. Sayang, type naman kita, may asawa kana pala." Alleya crossed her arms.

Without hesitation, Ramon went back to his wife after he thanked the princess.

Meanwhile, as Cassandra waited for her husband to return she felt faint crackles and running footsteps approaching where she was. She remembered Ramon's order to hide in the cave immediately in case she felt anything.

She got up from her seat and went to the cave. When he got there she was covered with a rock and peeked outside until she saw Demora's men. There was another roaring man, a crow crow roaring in the trees. Cassandra was gripped by fear. She gasped with extreme nervousness and apprehension.

"My God, help me. Demora's minions are already there. Where are you, Ramon?" Cassandra nodded.

There was a smell of a man in a cave. And he could smell Cassandra's scent. The pawn approached the large rock where Cassandra was sitting and saw their equipment that Cassandra had forgotten to bring.

"Oh, I forgot our stuff," Cassandra whispered to herself.

Ramon saw that Cassandra's minions surrounded the place where he left his wife. He was confused what to do. He just hid in the garden while watching them. He can't just smash them lightly because he can't handle them.

"Hala! Demora's minions. What should I do? Is my husband safe? And he left our belongings," Ramon said to himself as he thought of the steps to take.

Slowly the people-buried in the cave approached. Cassandra was terrified and almost fainted. When the monsters could see Cassandra only a meter away, Ramon bravely came out of his hiding place with a long cane from the broken branch of the tree. Demora's servants laughed at him.

"What are you going to do to us? You're going to hit us with your stick? Eh, it's just like a toothpick!" the pawn leading the group laughed.

The minions were about to attack Ramon's place when suddenly spears flew and hit the monsters. The others were still lying on the ground and forced to get up. By the way, Tata Kanor's group arrived. Using their weapons they fought the monsters as best they could.

The man rushed at Mang Rudy but his rod immediately struck the monster with an element of silver at the end of it. The man's eyes widened. The crows were supposed to run to where Cassandra and Ramon were in the cave but Ka Erning shot them, as long as the crows. All the crows fell to the ground.

The menotaur roared to call the Anitos. It came flying. The Anitos are like a blanket in the air. But before they could reach the army of light, something suddenly shone that was very dazzling. The Anitos were swept away because of the actions of Princesa Alleya. She used her magical stick.

The rest of the slaves left and returned to the kingdom.

When the opponents left, the couple came out hiding in the cave.

"Are you all right?" said Tata Kanor to Ramon.

"Mang Kanor, it's you. Thank you," Ramon thanked Tata Kanor.

Tata Kanor just nodded in response.

"Thank you too, Your Majesty," Mang Rudy thanked the nypmh.

"It doesn't matter. Demora's minions can't do anything if they enter our Territory because we own it," said the Queen.

Ramon also thanked the princess. Since then, Tata Kanor has taken Ramon and Cassandra with them to live on that mountain far from the kingdom of Avalonia.

The day came when Cassandra gave birth to her first son, whom they named Leverius.

"What will you name him?" said the midwife Nana Susana.

"Leverius, that's his name," the couple said to the midwife at the same time.

The pity Cassandra felt when she saw the child in her arms was almost indescribable. But after a few minutes of Ramon carrying the child, Cassandra died.

"Cassandra! Wake up! Wake up, Cassandra!" Ramón sobbed as he led his lifeless wife.

Leverius, on the other hand, was carrying a midwife. Their neighbors in the mountain village are also mourning Cassandra's immediate disappearance. The princess Alleya was sad when she saw Ramon crying when she looked at him from the window outside.
