Chapter 7 He Is Behaving Strange

He smiled because he already knew she would agree. "What is it?"

"I will do whatever I want staying here." He didn't say anything to her and continued eating his breakfast.

He finished his breakfast. "I am going to my work. If you want to go anywhere, inform me first. I will send my bodyguard with you, and you are free to do whatever you want as long as it's safe for you."

"I understand that you need to protect yourself, but why do I need a bodyguard? Who is going to harm me?" She pursed her lips.

He wanted to tell her everything but kept his mouth shut because he didn't want her to worry about anything. "You will understand everything when the time comes. You need bodyguards with you as I can't always be there to protect you."

She furrowed her eyebrows as she sense some uncertainty in his eyes. "I am not that much special. Why would someone try to hurt me or kill me? I don't need this much protection."

"Just do as I say, Mahika." He raised his voice a little.

"Okay, fine." He left for his work.

She went upstairs to take a shower. She wore a baby blue jumpsuit. She dialed Anna's number, sitting on the bed. "Hello, Mahika."

"Hey, hope I am not disturbing you."

Anna chuckled. "You can never disturb me. Also, I took a day off from work. You say how is it going with Liam Jackson?"

"He is behaving mysteriously." Anna sensed the nervousness in her voice, so she said, "Let's talk about it over a coffee. I want to meet you."

She took a deep breath. "I will tell Liam and inform you."

"What? Are you joking with me right now? You need his permission to come to meet me." Anna shouted.

"You're taking it all wrong. He told me to inform him wherever I am going. He will send his bodyguard with me." She explained Anna.

"Why do you need bodyguards? No one can harm you."

"I know and that is the reason I feel that he is behaving mysteriously. You know I sensed some kind of uncertainty in his eyes. Why is he behaving like that?" She bit her lower lip.

"You overthink everything. Maybe he just wants to be protective for you. Anyways, let's meet and talk about it at the cafe near my apartment." Anna cut the call.

Mahika dialed Liam's number and informed him about this. "A bodyguard will reach there soon. Take care of yourself." She started waiting for the bodyguard, reaching downstairs and sitting on the sofa.

The door of the lift opened fifteen minutes later, and two six-feet tall men, wearing a entire black suit came near her. "Ma'am, My name is Simon, and he is my partner, Adam. Sir asked us to take you to the cafe."

"Thank you, Simon and Adam." She went into the lift with them. Simon stood with her in the parking while Adam went to take the car. She was looking something on her phone when she felt someone looking at her from far away. She moved her eyes from the phone, and looked around the parking.

"What's wrong, Ma'am?" Simon asked as he also looked around, but wasn't able to catch that someone was taking Mahika's photos secretly, hiding behind a car.

Adam stopped the car in front of Mahika. Simon opened the door of the backseat for her, and she sat inside. Adam started driving when Simon sat beside him on the passenger seat.

The man hiding behind the car, came out as he saw the car disappearing from his sight. He smirked. "Mam will be happy with my work."

Mahika entered the cafe with Simon and Adam following her. She hugged Anna. "I feel so good to see you."

They sat down on the chairs. Anna's eyes moved to the bodyguards behind her, who were looking straight. Mahika looked at them. "Simon, I need some privacy with her. Can you both please stand at some distance or outside the cafe if possible?"

"Okay, Ma'am. We can't leave you alone inside here, so we will stand at some distance." Simon went and stood at some distance from them with Adam.

"What do you feel about him?" Anna asked her, taking a sip of her coffee.

"I don't know but he is behaving strange, like giving me all this protection." She took a glance at Simon and Adam. "Do I really need it?"

The man, who took Mahika's photos dialed someone's number, coming out of the building. "Mam, Sir Liam made a new girlfriend, and she lives with him in his home. I have sent her photos to you."

"Well done, Samuel." The girl cut the call, and opened Mahika's photos sent by him. She traced a finger on her photograph. She called on Liam's number. "What do you want from me Clara?" She heard his cold voice.

Clara smirked. "Is this the way you should talk to your sister, dear brother?"

He gritted his teeth. "You don't deserve my love. Tell me why did you call?"

"Your new girlfriend is really hot." His eyes widened when he heard her. "Don't you dare touch her, Clara.

She laughed. "You still haven't learnt your lesson, Liam. Why do you keep giving yourself a chance in love, and keep putting the life of those girls in danger?" Her eyes turned cold. "Do you think I will let her live?"

"Why don't you give up, Clara. You know I am never going to marry your best friend, and I didn't do anything intentionally with you. It was all a misunderstanding. Make your mind understand this thing." He yelled in anger.

"Let's see, dear brother." She was about to cut the call but stopped as she heard him again. "You forced me to leave every girl I fell in love with by continuously trying to hurt them. I had to leave them so that I can save their lives but if you lay a hand on Mahika, I will forget you're my sister."
