Chapter 4 Conditions

Mahika looked at him, widening her eyes. "Are you crazy, Mr. Jackson? How can you ask a stranger to move-in with you?"

"Yes, I am crazy enough in your love to do this, so I don't have any problem with it." Liam smiled.

She sighed. "What if I don't agree?"

He smirked. "Don't accept, but I have accepted you as mine. I love you, and I promise I will give you everything you want before you even ask for it." He leaned towards her. "You're mine."

She chuckled. "I think having money has given birth to lots of attitude in you, but I would like to remind you that I am not a thing, and I am never going to trade my freedom and happiness with your money."

She stood up from the chair. "Thanks for the coffee, Mr. Jackson."

She left the cafe, leaving him stunned for a moment because no girl had talked with him in this way ever.

Mahika reached home and saw Anna sitting on the couch. Mahika sat next to her. Anna got excited, seeing her. "How was your date, girl?"

Mahika rolled her eyes. "Disaster."

Anna looked at her with an annoyed expression. "Are you serious? How can you explain a date with Liam Jackson as a disaster?"

Mahika told her about her conversation with Liam. "He also asked me to move-in with him. Can you believe this?"

Anna was looking too excited. "Oh My God! Liam Jackson is in love with you?"

"Yeah, and he also claimed me as his saying," She mimicked Liam. "I love you. You're mine."

"Wow! What did you say?" Anna raised her eyebrows.

"I rejected him just like I rejected his job offer." Mahika said, casually.

Anna looked at her in disbelief. "You're really crazy. Rejecting his job offer was fine, but how can you reject him?"

"Why are you behaving like he is the last man left in this world?" Mahika frowned.

"All the girls of America want to be with him, want to live with him, and here, you rejected the chance he gave to you." Anna touched her forehead. "Hope you don't have a fever."

Mahika removed her hand. "Why should I have run away from my home to escape my marriage if I had to go on the same way after coming here in America? You know I can't fall in love."

Anna didn't say anything to her. Mahika's phone started ringing. She picked it up and saw an unknown number on the screen. She answered it. "Hello."

"Hello, gorgeous." A husky male voice came from the other side. Mahika immediately recognized the voice. "Liam." Anna looked at her excitedly, hearing Liam's name.

"Yes, Gorgeous."

"How do you have my number?" Mahika shouted.

Liam laughed. "I get whatever I want. I found your number."

Mahika sighed. "What do you want Liam?"

"You know it. Agree to my request."

"Mr. Jackson I hope you have thought about what you're asking me to do? Do you think it's that easy to move-in with a complete stranger?" Mahika got irritated.

"Listen Mahika, I guess we have met two or three times, so for me, you're no longer a stranger. Understand this." Liam cut the call.

Mahika put her phone on the table. Anna held her hand. "You should say yes. He can give you your dream life."

Mahika's dream life was to own a luxurious home, a car and a successful life. She shook her head. "No, I want to achieve all that on my own. I don't want to live the luxurious life of someone else's hard work."

"Mahika, he loves you. You're important to him. Not every girl gets this chance you want to give up on. Trust me, he will change your life. Say, yes." Anna went into her room, leaving her in deep thinking about Liam's proposal.

The entire night, she keeps on thinking about it and finally decided that she would agree to his proposal of moving-in with him.

She was lost in her own thoughts even while having breakfast. Anna snapped her fingers in front of her. "Why do you seem lost?"

"I am thinking of meeting Liam, and agreeing to his request." Anna became excited hearing this. "Are you sure about it?"

"Maybe or maybe not. We never know where our decisions lead us, but I want him to stop following me everywhere and this is the only way he will stop." Mahika took a sip of her juice.

"That's true, we never know where our decisions lead us but I have a feeling that you will not regret it. Imagine being Liam Jackson's girlfriend. How amazing will it be?" Anna winked at her.

"I don't know. I will not be able to fall in love with him, and that's what he expects from me." Mahika shrugged. "I will be taking off from work today, so please take care of everything."

"Don't worry, girl. I will handle everything, but give love a chance with him."

Mahika smiled a little. She dialed Liam's number after having breakfast. Liam had just arrived at his company when his phone started ringing. He retrieved it from his pocket, and smiled seeing Mahika's name flashing on his screen. He immediately answered her call. "Hello, beautiful."

"I want to meet you." Mahika said without wasting any time.

"Sure, I will come to your restaurant." He started going out of the huge building.

"No, not there. Meet me at that cafe where you took me last time." Mahika cut the call, and left the apartment to meet him, informing Anna.

She reached the cafe, only to find Liam already waiting for her there. She went to him. "I hope I didn't make you wait for too long?"

Liam stood up. "No, I just arrived." He pulled out a chair for her. She sat down, and he sat back on his chair, asking her if she was comfortable. They placed their orders, and he asked her. "So, why do you want to meet me all of a sudden?"

"I agree to your request." Mahika looked at him with a little smile on her lips.

He couldn't believe his ears, but his eyes shined in happiness. "Really?"

She nodded. "I will move-in with you, but I have a few conditions and you have to agree on them if you want me to move-in with you."
