Chapter 9 THE WATERFALL

SHAPE TOWN

The two royal princes took a bath and have a change of clothing then they came down stair and met Benjamin and Ryn in the sitting room (sited) talking to some guards standing in front of them.

Benjamin saw the two royal princes and discarded the conversation he was having with the guards. Benjamin stood up and went to the two royal princes.

''Now you both are looking good'' said Benjamin (with a smile) to the two royal princes on getting to them.

''Thanks to your great hospitality'' said Ramsay (with a smile) to Benjamin.

''You have a big house'' said Noah to Benjamin as he looked around the house.

''If you say so. It belongs to my forefather'' said Benjamin.

''It must be old'' said Noah.

''Way old than you could ever imagine. Well I want you both to come with me to the town so I can show you around'' said Benjamin.

''Are you saying you want to take us on a tour around your town?'' asked Ramsay.

''Yes and you will love it, you will also find out love resides in our town or you don't want to?'' asked Benjamin.

''No, we will love to see your town'' said Noah.

Benjamin touched the two royal princes' shoulders and said ''I promise you, you won't want to go back home after touring around my town''.

Ramsay and Noah smiled.

''You flatter too much big brother'' said Ryn to Benjamin.

''Why don't you come with us Ryn'' said Benjamin to Ryn.

Ryn stood up and said to Benjamin ''am going into town, why don't you tag along''.

''Let go guys'' said Benjamin to the two royal princes.

Benjamin and Ryn with the four guards (guarding Ben) took Noah and Ramsay around the town. The tour around the town lasted till night then they all returned home to have dinner. After having dinner they had a lovely conversation before they all went to sleep in their rooms.

Noah tried sleeping but couldn't then he went outside the house and sat down somewhere looking at the sky. As Noah was sited looking at the sky, he heard a sound coming from around the house. Noah tried not to mind the sound but the continuous noise from the sound made Noah trace the sound to where it was coming from. Noah traced the sound to where it was coming from and saw Ryn trying to get out of the house through the window.

''Do you need help?'' Noah asked Ryn (with a smile) making Ryn notice him.

''Yes. If you care to help'' said Ryn and they both laughed.

Noah helped Ryn out of the house through the window, they both stood in front of each other. ''Can I ask why you tried to get out of the house through the window instead of the front door?'' Noah asked Ryn.

''Because the guards guarding my door won't let me out'' said Ryn.

''Why won't they?"' asked Noah curiously.

''Long story which am not interested in sharing'' said Ryn.

''Okay. I guess you are heading somewhere if you sneaked out of the house through the window?'' asked Noah.

''Follow me if you want to know'' said Ryn.

''Are you sure?'' asked Noah.

''Stay then'' said Ryn and began to walk away.

''Wait'' said Noah as he followed her.

Ryn took Noah to a waterfall, Noah was astounded upon seeing the waterfall. "It's beautiful right?'' Ryn (smiling) asked Noah.

''It's more than beautiful, it..it magnificent'' said Noah smiling.

''Come with me'' said Ryn, then Noah followed her.

Ryn took Noah to a cave and they went inside the cave and came out at the edge of the other entrance of the cave which was beside the water falling from the top and not too far from the river on the ground.

Noah and Ryn sat down at the edge of the cave looking at the water, the river, and the moon that shone on the waterfalling and river making it look lovely.

''Do you like the sight?'' Ryn asked Noah.

''I love the sight, the way the moon shines on the water made it look very lovely'' said Noah with a smile.

''Yes. Um......I noticed the way you looked at the waterfall when you first saw it, you looked.....'' said Ryn.

Ryn was cut short of words as Noah cut in ''this is my first time seeing a waterfall. Have only heard about it in books, and when I saw it, its beauty is more than what I read in the books''.

Ryn smiled.

''Why did you smile?'' asked Noah.

''Nothing. Where are you from?'' asked Ryn.

''Am from Axrax, am sure you will have heard about it'' said Noah.

''You are wrong. I don't know Axrax and have never heard about it'' said Ryn.

''That's new'' said Noah.

''Have never left my hometown ever, my big brother never let me go anywhere and always has guards follow me around saying he has to protect me from what killed our parents'' said Ryn.

''Am sorry about your parents'' said Noah.

''It okay'' said Ryn.

''I guess this waterfall explains why you were trying to sneak out of the house through the window'' said Noah with a smile.

''Maybe'' said Ryn.

''Why is it still a maybe or you are some kind of a village villain'' said Noah with a smile.

Ryn smiled and said ''still not interested in telling you''.

''Okay'' said Noah.

''So what does Axrax where you are from look like?'' asked Ryn.

''Axrax is the biggest and largest Kingdom of all other kingdoms'' said Noah.

''They are other kingdoms too?'' asked Ryn surprised.

''Yes, four others apart from Axrax, they are Lythridite, Samuzia, Micapus, and Domitrus. But Axrax is the most beautiful kingdom, its palace is very big that you could get lost if you don't know your way around it and it's very lovely, I wish you could see it for yourself'' said Noah.

''Maybe one day'' said Ryn.

Just then they both heard singing coming from inside the river.

''Does that happen often'' asked Noah.

''No, this is the first time am also hearing this'' said Ryn.

''So what happening now?'' asked Noah as they both stood up confused.

''I don't know, we should get out of here now'' said Ryn.

They both turned back to leave but stopped as they were shocked on seeing large water coming through the cave. Ryn and Noah (scared) wondered what to do as they both stared at the water coming their way.

''What should we do now?'' Noah asked Ryn.

''I don't know but I suggest we jumped inside the river. Can you swim?'' asked Ryn.

''Yes I can'' said Noah.

''Then jump'' said Ryn and jumped inside the river, Noah also did.

As they both jumped into the river they both tried to swim out of the water but they couldn't because the water was pulling them down. Ryn and Noah struggled to swim out of the river but they kept drowning, the water kept pulling them under and under till they could no longer see the sky and the moon.
