Chapter 4 Ferocious

"Mom...you don't have to worry... I'll fix this" Nathan coaxed his mother, he didn't have to hide such a thing from her. It turned out she knew about this

"Son...we can't do anything...eventually, we have to leave from here," his mom said calmly, and Nathan went silent. He very well knew how much the house meant to his mom

She raised her children in the very same house. So much happened, and now she was being forced to leave,

"Please Nate...don't go out causing trouble" she added, placing her hand on his shoulder. Nathan had his back turned away; however, he felt his mother's warmth. Turning around, Nathan took his mom's hand. She smiled at him. Of course, she was good at hiding her emotions, no matter how hurt she was

"Mom...we can't just leave...even if others give in... I won't," he said, giving nothing away. This was important. After the incident with his father. His mom had been like this, calm. Someone would say way too calmly. She never showed any weakness which hurt him.

"She's powerful...as it is...the entire area isn't ours...we live here only by grace," his mom said lowering her gaze, Nathan reached for her face. Brushed a few strands of hair aside. His mom hadn't gotten on with age. She was still beautiful, her movements as graceful as before. Her illness had deducted a few strength from her but even so, his mom had a heart of gold

"Even if that's the case...no one will ever take this away" Nathan coaxed smiling. In such a case he would act impulsively, however now. He had to protect his family. That was important

"Come son" his mom led him to sit down. Nathan carefully lowered onto the bed. It was morning, another day "let's just agree...we can't fight her...and her people ''she muttered hoping her son would understand. Nathan didn't utter a word. His mom was innocent. She was naive, too. The same naivety which cost them a lot in her life. The same soft heart put her in trouble and now

"Mom... I understand, but this..." Nathan didn't even finish when he heard sounds coming from outside. Exchanging glances with his mom, both rushed out of the room and heard more screams. Nathan was the first one to rush down the stairs. More noises came from outside and pushing the door open

The scene which greeted him was frightening

"Let her go!" He found several men mistreating his sisters.

"Stop it now!" Nathan growled and tried to stop the men from destroying things.

"Brother, help me!" Zoey shouted for help. Two men were holding her in place.

"Let her go... I'm warning you" he snarled when two large men grabbed him, preventing him from getting to his sister. The gate was broken. Uprooted from the ground. There was a bulldozer parked outside. Countless men were destroying things and all he did was struggle to get free. His mom rushed forward however he gestured for her to stay back

No matter the desperation in her eyes, he didn't want her to jeopardize her health

"Hold him" came to a male voice. Nathan's anger was something he didn't have control over. His eyes shone with rage as he fought to get free. Soon there was a man dressed in a white suit standing before him.

"Such a wild man...so you are the man refusing to leave from here," the man said, adjusting the large specs covering his face. Nathan scanned him and knew he would snap him in half and feed him to the dogs

"Get out of here or so help me... I'll make you pay" Nathan growled. His eyes turned red from anger. The man with specs who was none other than Robert let out a sarcastic chuckle. Scanning his surroundings, Robert fixed his suit.

"The lady wants this place...we gave everyone choices, and they agreed...what makes you...so special, huh," Robert said, finding the young man quite interesting. His men told him there was a wild man who threatened everyone not to do anything.

"I'm bored...call your little boss here," Nathan said lazily, his tone nonchalant as he looked at the petite man before him. He had to say for a powerful lady like Laura, she had a bad taste when it came to choosing her lapdogs

"Interesting...it seems you want us...to waste our time here," Robert said walking in front of a fuming Nathan. He was intrigued by the young man. So ferocious,

"I use fists...if you all want to get out of here in one piece...call the bitch here," Nathan said, his eyes narrowed shrewdly that even his mother and sisters were shocked at his behavior. He was held captive, yet he was acting as if he was the boss. Zoey tried her eye tricks to keep Nathan shut, however he was already in a killing mood. Adeline looked at her mom and a man was standing in front of her... Pleading with her eyes for her son to be pardoned

"Such disrespect....do you even know who you are insulting!" Robert snarled and surprisingly Nathan started laughing like a mad man. The people around were shocked,

"Tell your little boys to get their filthy hands...off my sisters" Nathan warned, his expression morphed into a monstrous one. Anyone would adhere immediately however Robert, moved closer to him

"What can a worthless person like you do huh" Robert whispered sarcastically and what he followed was unpleasant

"H-how...how dare you" Robert stammered holding his chest area? Closing his eyes, blood trickled from his nose. He was kicked in the gut and landed on the pavement.

"Now...let's see...who wants their bones broken first? ''Nathan said, scanning his prey, his eyes narrowed into slits as the huge men started advancing. Robert crawled away from the dangerous scenery about to unfold. The man looked like a beast. He knew any better than. To call his boss to handle the matter.

Meanwhile, Laura was in a conference room filled with the board of directors. The men and women sat gracefully, as quiet as the entire room was, her eyes darted around. Scanning the shrewd men around her. After coming to the office. She was likely to hold an important meeting

"What's the meaning of this?" Laura asked, suppressing anger. The men had their heads bowed, none made a sound, nor did anyone dare to look up. Even her brother sat quietly

"Who gave you the rights...to make decisions in my absence!" she yelled, accompanied by a slam of her hand on the table, startling everyone, her voice was low, but carried authority, "very well since none of you want to talk...how about we make some changes around her," Laura said, adjusting her coat. The men and women glanced up and saw a frightening woman.

"Since all of..." she started saying, however, the door burst open, and slammed against the wall with so much impact that everyone turned to see who wanted to die early in the morning. Shifting her gaze towards the door. Laura's eyes narrowed, wondering who the young man was and why he wanted to die

"And who are you?" she asked, tapping her fingers on the table. The raging man glaring at her didn't seem so friendly

"Young man...kindly leave, "one of the board members said, turning to the man disrespecting their boss. The fear in their hearts knowing their boss was already in a bad mood

Seeing how composed she was, her actions tended to be unpredictable

"Today...you'll meet your end witch!" Nathan growled and took out a whip. His eyes fixed on the enemy. Laura was stunned at such aggression, such arrogance.
