Chapter 3 Thirst for success

Whenever something happened in the Larson family. The first person who called a meeting was the lady of the house

"Why aren't they vacating the building"

"W-well...lady Laura...we tried. We gave our notices to everyone, "the man sitting opposite his boss said nervously. His heart thumped painfully as he tried to keep calm. "And oh...if anyone tries to act smart...get them arrested right away" she added, this time smiling. Rob knew that sinister smile more than anyone. His lady was something else. A woman who made threats with a warm smile.

"Yes, my lady...and about...well"Rob nodded; however, there was something else. Handing Laura a black file. Robert waited for his boss to go through. With vivid eyes, Laura glanced at Rob before turning to the file

"It's urgent that you take a look... I chose to let you know before the board does"Rob added professionally, with each turn of the page. Laura's blood boiled. Her hands gripping the paper delicately, her eyes darted Around

"Why am I finding out about this now?" Laura was unhappy. She didn't expect this to happen. Robert tried to speak, think of any excuse, however his tongue was tied. How was he to say anything when it was Lady Laura's family involved

"I-i thought...well..."

"Out!" Laura's angry voice echoed throughout the study room. Her hand slammed on the table, making Robert fall to his knees. Bowing his head and started pleading

"Please, Lady Laura... I didn't have the... I thought...please forgive"Rob pleaded for her job. He made a mistake. His boss never mixed business with personal affairs. He was wrong not to inform his boss when something serious happened

"Get out!" Laura ordered, and the door burst open. Two large men in black suits walked in. Rob knew he overstepped his boundaries

"Take him away" Laura ordered, and the two men nodded and dragged Rob out of the office. The door closed, and Laura's eyes turned dark. She felt hot. Her body temperature was getting higher and there was nothing to cool her off. Stripping off her coat. Laura tossed it aside. Kicking off her shoes, she rose from the chair pushing it backward

Burying her face in her palms, she didn't know what to do with her greedy family. From her mother to her 30 years old brother and 24 years old sister. These three had gone too far

"Not again" she muttered, reaching for her phone. This was getting out of hand. She just came back home after a long business trip to another country. Instead of resting, g, she was going to decide

"Lawyer Gael...my house now, "Laura said calmly as soon as her lawyer answered the call. She had no choice but to complete this.

Four days ago, she left the country for something important and gave orders to the head servant. "How dare they?" she muttered and kicked off her skirt and wrapped a towel around her body. Flipping her hair off her back and tied it in a bun. She prepared to take a hot bubble bath and soothe her aching body.
