Chapter 9 Island

"he might have faced psychological injuries too, it is possible what he saw or experienced was traumatic to him, this is not a new condition, various people are often traumatised by series of events that happened around them causing them to react in different ways"

"so are you saying that he had amnesia because of a few minutes or hours event?" Justin found this unbelievable, but he left the doctor to continue his report

"in cases like this the patient might try to forget what they saw and in the process the amygdala of the brain might tamper with the hippocampus causing distorted memory, in the case of your son who is still young the brain might decide to format its whole memory to avoid shut down which can lead to insanity" the doctor left Justin to digest his words then continued "your son is a fighter I must say, most children would have lost it but he kept intact, most patients regain their memory along the line while some do not"

"is there not something that can be done?" Justin was really holding his breath

"I would advice therapy sessions, but do not force it, it might put his brain under unnecessary pressure and the repercussions might be worse"

"but why is he not talking? Did he also lose his speech?" Justin noticed all his son did was nod

"it is normal, some decide to pick silence but with time they would come around, in his case he needs patience, if he can remember good and if he cannot just let him live his life that way, some memories are better off forgotten' the doctor concludes and gave Justin a few prescriptions before he left the office.

(Back in the Island)

They led Ikiris to a mansion above a hill top, the woman who directed him to the dining hall went into a small office to make a call "My Lady he is here already"

"Good, hope he has been fed?" The lady responds

"yes he has"

"make sure to take good care of him, if anything happens to him, I'll have you on the line remember that" the lady warns

"I remember my Lady" the woman was really scared of the lady

"his training will start next week, if he asks to much questions just threaten to cut off his tongue am sure that'll do the trick" the lady informs

The next day Ikiris decided to go around the island what is your name?" He asked the woman who kept following him everywhere like a shadow

"I am Lucia by name Young Master Gowa" the woman replied

"I'll ask again, why am I here?" Ikiris did not understand if he was kidnapped or on a vacation

"you will not be harmed if you oblige to our rules but asking too many questions will cost you your tongue young Master" Lucia says to him,

Ikiris saw that he wouldn't get any answers and decided to stop asking but he threatened "when my father finds me, he will burn this whole island to the ground just wait and see" he doesn't know what was taking his father so long to find him, he should know that he went missing by now

"Well, we would have to wait till then" Lucia replied in a mocking voice, this young Master is really funny "you' ll be left for the rest of this week to get use to the island, after this week your training will begin"

Lucia informed him so he could be prepared in advance.

This information surprised and confused Ikiris at the same time, why would his kidnappers train him? What does he need training for? *he looks up to the sky with a sad face and wonders how long it will take his parents to find him, this place was really starting to frighten him

Two days later the little boy was discharged from the hospital

"let's all go back to our home in Lukas city, this city really isn't for us" Justin lifts the boy up to carry him and they left the hospital

They arrived at the airport few minutes later with Dami and Bali and flew back to their own city

"what about mom daddy?" Dami asks her father

"your mom will be fine, she will come later" Justin just did not know what other words to tell his daughter he sighed and closed his eyes, it has been long since he rested.

A new character was introduced in the kidnap and I'll be referring to him as "the little boy or the boy" so now there are three different boys in the story - Ceda, Ikiris and the little boy
