Chapter 3 BACK TO HANNAM

We live in Hannam thee hill, the topmost richest place and luxury apartments in Seoul are here. Most Korean artists and rich people live here. Our dorm was moved here a year ago and I must say it's a place worth being in. The serenity and everything are just on another level. The other three members also like it, we all like it here. Shin woke me up today, and I won't say that it's the best way to wake me up, but I think it's because I'm always a hard one when it comes to waking up.

He splashed super cold water on my face, I think he took it from the fridge because it almost froze my face. I'm used to Shin's brutality, and the only reason that stops me from yelling at him when he does that is that when somewhere important we have to go he's the one who comes to wake me, failure to that then I won't get enough time to at least prepare myself. Well, preparing myself isn't that hard, but I hate it, kinda boring.

Lately, we are focussing on solo career songs and that's why everyone has a place to be today. I should be writing a song for which I haven't figured out the theme yet, but since the other day, I've been dreaming about it, and I think that I might have the perfect idea of what to write. Why can't I get him out of my head, though? I've just woken up now, but I've been thinking about him for the past several minutes, nonstop.

I just can't stop thinking about him; no matter how hard I try, even trying to focus on something else, taking a shower with no help, having breakfast with my bandmates, and trying to create stories out of nowhere, I still can't help. I'm still thinking about him. I had invited him and I'm not sure if he is going to come. There's no party, to begin with. I just made up something because I couldn't just tell him that I wanted him to come to my house just like that.

Oh well, yeah, apart from the dorm where we are living now, we all have our own personal houses, and mine is at the forest triage Itaewon. Well, I've never been to the house before, but according to the kind of house the manager had described to me, he said that was the best he could find that suited me.

I had asked for permission from my manager, claiming that I at least wanted to get familiar with the place and at least get some humble time to think and write music so I had a chance to throw the fake party. It's fake because I hadn't planned for it, plus it seems like it's a party that I will be attending alone because I had invited my bandmates, but lately, everyone has been busy with the solo music and looking for a place to move out to once our contract ends of which it's almost.

The three of them hadn't found the houses they wanted so, and they were still focusing on their music. I didn't want to disturb them; it might seem like an easy situation, but it was a difficult one because of the pressure to get everything done in time.

First, I had to go to Mr. Chin Mae's office. He had called me and said that there were some documents I needed to sign. Each of us has a driver and a bodyguard, but I wanted to go alone, though it was not advisable. Getting to the FG entertainment company was just a simple task. Now the problem was getting to his office. Even the office staff members wanted to get pictures. It's not bad but then sometimes you just feel uncomfortable.

I really love my fans, yes, but then it's just too overwhelming and sometimes it feels like it's suffocating because you are never able to live a normal life like walking on the streets with no people running after you asking for autographs and pictures, being able to shop just orderly without the whole mall freezing at the sight of you. There's nothing called privacy in a celebrity's life, right?

I had just arrived at the building and it had turned into chaos.

I was lucky enough that two bodyguards came to my rescue. The whole ground floor had gone nuts, all the people there were out of their duty posts. Talk of the men and the women, they were all over me, you'd mistake me for a president or something. Same old me I had to smile for the cameras and do the autographs because I never know how to say no, especially to a fan.

The two were Mr. Chin's personal bodyguards, and trust me if they belonged to Mr. Chin, then you must just guess what they looked like. Huge, fearless, well-built bodies, and walked like soldiers. Just from looking at them then you wouldn't want to mess with them. Everyone immediately returned to their duty posts. Then they escorted me to Mr. Chin's office, the owner of FG Entertainment, an old man of forty-four years with a very alluring face whereby you can't tell his age, and you would never accept that he was over thirty years old.

There was no need to knock; the man had a super screen that was connected to the CCTV cameras and could see every corner of the building from his office, so once I got there, I only heard his voice telling me to go in.

The bodyguards remained at the door, and trust me, when they are there, you can't get in, maybe only if you have permission. As usual, if not busy then he was playing with his pen, a pen that he never leaves behind. I went to greet him once I got in, and he smiled. There's always one thing about his smile. It's always a promising one, a smile that gives you hope and makes you feel better, a smile that was rare to find from a rich man like him. He showed me where to sit and I gladly did so.
