Chapter 6 Time Travel

"Now you're safe."

Lycaon could breathe a sigh of relief after successfully bringing Lucrezia into hiding in the cave. The girl's condition was still weak after being caught in the trap. His face was pale. Luckily Lycaon had the opportunity to stay longer with him without having to make excuses. There was something he wanted to know. He could get to know more about the beautiful girl he had helped just now. From his first meeting, Lycaon knew the girl was not from his territory. She was a different person from the girl he knew. From his scent alone Lycaon could tell he was a pure human not a wolf mix like himself.

This made Lycaon curious, How could a human enter his territory. This was extremely dangerous for Lucrezia who was a human. He couldn't possibly live long and safe here, if Lycaon didn't protect him and quickly take him to the cave. The scent of human blood spreads easily. The threat of Arcadia and Gilgamesh-first brother-could put Lucrezia's life in danger. Luckily everything was under control. No wolf race had yet sniffed Lucrezia's whereabouts. However, Lycaon must remain careful with all the possibilities that occur.

"Outch...."

The girl screamed in pain. His injuries were very serious. If there is a slight movement, it will hurt. Lycaon quickly checked the wound again and gave him an antidote to reduce the pain. In this condition Lycaon was increasingly unable to take his eyes off the girl. Her charm is extraordinary. Her heart continued to beat as if stupefied with Lucrezia's beautiful brown eyes that could change color. He hadn't felt the thrill of romance in a long time. Since his mother's death, Lycaon's life has become bleak.

"I owe you my life," said the blonde girl, her chest rising and falling and her voice still weak.

I don't know what his fate will be if he doesn't meet Lycaon, of course death will take his life. Lucrezia herself never expected to come to this strange place. A journey full of mysteries that until now still cannot be understood with his mind. A world unlike any he had ever seen.

"I should have helped you. You don't have to think about reciprocation."

The young man looked back at the girl with a gentle gaze. In the midst of the complicated conflict that surrounds Lycaon, where the entire wolf race hates and thinks of him as a stupid prince. Lucrezia's presence greatly comforted her heart. At least he was happy today.

However, not with Lucrezia Lycaon's gaze made her feel uncomfortable. Bad thoughts arose about a foreign figure in front of him. Is he really a sincere person or someone who intends evil by pretending to help him. However the bad things that happened to him in Italy made Lucrezia very careful. He doesn't trust people he just met.

"What's your name?" Lucrezia's probing eyes were directed at the young man.

He paid close attention to the appearance of a foreign figure nearby from top to bottom to see if there was anything suspicious or not. "My name is Lycoan. Who are you?" he said in a low voice.

"I'm Lucrezia Borgia."

The girl paused her conversation. There was something heavy she still hesitated to tell. Lycaon looked once more to dispel the doubts that were in her mind.

"What happened to you?" The youth waved his hand to break Lucrezia's thoughts.

"I'm lost," he whispered with a sad expression on his face.

"Lost? Then where do you live?" asked Lycaon curiously. This is the story I've been waiting for the most.

"Long story."

"Just say it! Maybe I can help you." Lucrezia was silent for a long time. He was still composing the words to start the story. Recalling the painful event made the wound sting again.

"You doubt me?" The girl shook her head.

"I just need some time to tell you everything. We're just getting to know each other. I'm afraid, Ly, to trust the wrong person."

"Okay, I'll give you some time."

Lycaon couldn't push or force Lucrezia to speak. There was fear on the girl's face. Deep in his heart, Lycaon desperately wanted to calm the girl down. Embracing her, holding Lucrezia's back tightly to her chest. Just to reduce the pain that stabbed in his heart. However, he was worried about the bad reception that would ensue. Lycaon just waited while hoping Lucrezia would share her sorrow. Until she felt comfortable, the white girl slowly began to dare to speak.

"I'm a student in Italy, Ly. When I came home from campus, suddenly a robber stopped me and he killed me."

Lucrezia's sobs couldn't be contained. Lycaon turned his head just as the girl was closing her eyes. His lips were pressed tightly together as if he was holding back the pain that stabbed his heart. Tears were hanging from her eyelashes, dripping slowly and flowing down her cheeks forming two tributaries that washed away Lycaon's feelings.

"The robber killed you?" Beliak Lycaon was shocked.

His hands clenched into fists, he couldn't accept the girl he loved being hurt.

"Yeah," Lucrezia sighed with tears in her eyes.

"It happened so fast, Ly. He stabbed me in the back. I didn't have time to fight back. Fresh blood was flowing from my body. No one helped. Even though I screamed and struggled. Seeing me weak, the robber ran away in fear. I tried to hold on and walked on my feet staggered for help. Finally found a path that took me across worlds and time."

"Where did you find that way?"

"I don't know exactly, Ly. It's in the middle of the forest."

Lycaon was worried. The path that Lucrezia told of was a secret path. So far, no human has entered their world. Suddenly another world portal opened. What Ly worries about, there will be many humans who enter his world and become the merciless food of the wolf race.

Lycaon is different from his brother. He could endure the scent of fresh blood on his body, because he was not a pure wolf. Evidently when close to Lucrezia, the young man did not devour his body. He behaved like a normal human being in general. Speak calmly, even though the two are very close.

"Calm down! You're safe with me."

Lycaon did not expect the bad events that Lucrezia went through to be so terrible. No wonder the girl looked at him sharply and needed time to tell her about what had happened. Lycaon hugged the girl tightly to give her comfort.

"I'm scared, Ly. Everything I've been through in this place is so foreign. I don't know anyone here."

Lycaon perfectly understood what Lucrezia was feeling. He felt alone in the middle of an unfamiliar territory. The young man also felt the same sadness. It's just that he chose to keep it tight. It was not time for Lucrezia to know about him.

"I'll protect you. Trust me, I won't let anyone hurt you." Lucrezia temporarily believed Lycaon's words. He hoped the young man would keep his promise, for there was no one he knew here.
