Chapter 4 The date

"What the hell is wrong catherine you sounded urgent on the phone" bethel said as she walks inside the office where catherine was seen pacing up and down.

Lucas left after he received a phone call but she is damn so scared right now.

"He was here bethel" she said sobbing softly as she remembers what happens a while ago.

"Who was here? Her best friend asks starring at catherine confusedly.

"Lucaa giovanni" catherine said and bethel widened her eyes in surprise.

"Why was he here I mean what was he doing here? Bethel asks still surprised.

"I don't know bethel but he kept saying I belong to him and he wants another night with me". Catherine said and bethel eyes widened the More.

"What the hell! "All you guys had was a one night stand which he clearly understand so why does he want another night with you" bethel said and catherine signs.

"I don't know bethel but he was damn so serious. She said sobbing and bethel hug her.

"Is okay" she said patting her hair and catherine nodded.

"How Is my brother? She asks as she distinguish from the hug and bethel smile.

"He is fine and he has been asking about you" Bethel said and catherine nodded smiling.

"I will go and see him now I miss that brother if mine" she said still smiling and bethel chuckled before sitting down on the chair.

"Sister" jeffery her brother scream and ran out of the bed rushing towards her arms and catherine chuckle before picking him up.

"Look who was missing me already" catherine said smiling and the younger boy nodded her head making catherine chuckle and slowly she place him gently on the bed.

"How are you feeling? Catherine asks smiling at her brother.

She felt so happy that finally her brother was not going to die.

"Am good aunty bethel has been taking care if me" jeffery said and catherine smile kissing his forehead.

Almost immediately her phone rang. She brought out her phone from the pocket and she smiles when she saw the name "my heartbeat."

"Hello babe" the thick voice said from the other side of the phone and catherine blush.

"Hello sweetheart how are you doing? She asks.

"Well good but I feel so empty without you by my side" the boy said and catherine blush the more.

"I miss you too. Catherine replied smiling widely.

"So I was thinking we should go on a date now" he said and catherine nodded happily like he could see her.

"Yes" she replied.

"Okay then I will send someone to come pick you up at home" he said.

"Okay" catherine said and the phone went dead almost immediately.

"Are you leaving me again? Jeffrey asks pouting his lips cutely and catherine signs.

"Am sorry I am leaving you but I promise to make it up to you" catherine said and Jeffery nodded.

Lucaa sat down on his bed smoking from his cigarettes when he heard a knock on the door.

He rolled his eyes and kept on smoking from his cigarettes without answering.

"Boss" Matthew knocks again.

"Come in" lucca replied after a long silence and matthew quickly rush in bowing his head in respect.

"What is it? Lucca asks as he smokes from his cigarettes.

"Hmmm sir your girl is going on a date with her boyfriend" matthew said and immediately lucas stood up from his bed looking at matthew with anger who bends his head in fear.

"Get the car ready" he said and walk into the bathroom while Matthew quickly rush out.

He was so angry to even think that catherine went on a date with someone else and his hand was intching to kill.

He was so fucking angry right now...

"This place is so beautiful" catherine said looking at the restaurant and maxwell just chuckle.

"Come and sit down babe" she said as he drag a chair out for her and catherine blush before sitting down.

There was so many people around and many were couple obviously they came on a date like them.

"So how is your brother health? Maxwell asks as he sat down on a chair opposite her.

"He is okay" catherine said smiling.

"I rally round and I was able to get 2 million naira" maxwell said and catherine gasps looking at maxwell who was smiling and then she bursted into tears not because of the money but because she has betrayed her boyfriend.

He was out there searching for money and all she could was to be a slut for a one night stand.

" Hey stop crying" maxwell said standing up from the chair and then he walk towards her before hugging her.

"Am sorry" catherine said still crying and maxwell just patted her hair not understanding why she was telling him that.

"Thank you so much" catherine said and then she kiss him softly on the lips not noticing of the devil watching them.

"Waw, such a romantic couple" lucca said clapping his hands and by that time many people were already running away.

Catherine eyes widened as she looks at him and she felt her mind beating violently. She was so fucking scared.

Lucca was damn so angry and all he wanted to do was to kill that bastard who has the guts to kiss his woman.

A guard quickly took out a chair for him to sit down and he sat down close to them with his legs crossed.

"You never told me you were in a relationship" lucca said smirking evily at catherine who gulps down in fear.

"Who the hell are you? Maxwell asks and lucas chuckle darkly.

"Oh you don't know me and yet your girlfriend slept with me" he said and maxwell scoffs turning to look at catherine whose mind was beating heavily.

"I don't fucking know you" catherine shouted standing up making lucca glare at her angrily.

"I don't fucking know him baby I have never met him in my life" catherine said trying to sound bold ignoring the eyes that were piercing through her skin.

"Really catherine? He ask smirking and maxwell stare confusedly at lucca.

"How the hell do you know her name" maxwell asks and catherine gulps down.

"He is just trying to get your attention I don't know him let's get out of here"" catherine said and quickly drag maxwell hand away.

Lucca frown in anger as he watch her hold hee hands.

"Find out where the bastard lives" he said to no one in particular and his men nodded understanding what he meant.
