Chapter 4 Charlie is Found

On their way, David's phone ranged. He didn't hesitate to pick it up.

"Hi mom" he said slowly. Amanda looked at him and looked away immediately.

"I;m sorry about that mom"

"Are you coming or not David?' his mother asked.

"I don't think I can make it"

"We are talking about your kid brother here David"

"Give him the phone let me talk to him"

"So that you can convince him yourself right?"

"Please mom" David begged and looked at Amanda.

"David" a little voice sounded through the phone.

"Hi little man, how are you doing right away" he asked with a smile.

"I don't know David, I'm not sure" he replied.

"Why...why Ben, is anything wrong?"

"You said we will go to the park together and also to the pool for a swim" Ben said slowly but they all heard it.

"Ben...I'm...I'm really very sorry. Something came up okay...something very important and...."

"More important than my birthday?" he asked and there was a silence.

"David" Ben called.

"I'm sorry Ben' David hanged up the call and sighed heavily.

"You have a kid brother?" Fraser asked nervously.

"My mom adopted him...not recently"

"Oh!" Fraser shrugged.

"Today is the kid's birthday, aww he must really hate you if you don't fulfill the long promises you made to him" Fraser added.

"You think so right?" David smiled to Fraser.

"Off course that is what it'll be...or don't you think so? Look there are certain circumstances or place you will find yourself...like you know...you will have to choose from a very hard decision. You know where I'm going to right? Good, so...."

"Fraser can you just cut it off please? What the hell is wrong with you?" Jane interrupts.

"Just trying to know if he made the right decision that's all" Fraser smiled

'That's bullshit, you hear me...that's bullshit" Jane came in front of Fraser and yell to his face. She was angry.

"You want him to turn back? Is that it?" she added.

"You are terrifying" Fraser leaned back.

"Hey cut if off Jane, he didn't say anything bad after all' Jake pulled Jane off from Fraser's front.

"What's the point in that, I can't leave you guys alone in this shit. If we want this shit to work out, we gon' need to stick our asses together and end it together" David said, looking at them one after the other.

"You should say that to the Korean guy" Jane replied.

"Come on Jane" Jake complained.

"Don't you think he's right Amanda?" Fraser asked Amanda. She looked at Fraser, then to Jane and Jake.

"Am sorry David" she said slowly, staring at David's face.

"We don't really know who the next victim is until we find Charlie in his hiding place, we really need to stick together in this till all of this is over" Amanda said, looking at them one after the other.

"Fine I agree now" Fraser groaned.

They arrived and stood in front of the address given to them. It was an old small house with broken glasses built beside a very big yellow mansion, with a tiny door that looked like an old tree. Amanda was scared when she saw how old, dirty and small the house was.

"This is it" Jane said and sighed heavily.

'What are we waiting for, let's go in" David said.

"You sure about this" Amanda asked slowly with a soft tremble.

"I am, come on" David said, holding her right hand as they were heading into the small house.

Amanda held David's hand tightly while they were sneaking into the house. Fraser's leg hit a stainless container lying besides the wall and it crackled.

"Careful, he might notice that we are coming and run away" Jake paused and said, they all nodded in response.

Charlie was packing his clothes hurriedly when they captured him in one of the dirty rooms in the old small house. Charlie tried to run away from the window he opened straight to the roof top. Jake, being very agile, noticed his plan and caught him before he could jump off the window with a black back-pack he hanged on his back.

"Let me go!!" he cried as he struggling to free himself from Jake's grip. His face was full of dirt and grief and his eyes were sore red. His clothes were bad like rags and his hair was very rough and scattered.

"That's not happening" David replied and helped Jake in getting him down.

"What the fuck do you want from me fuckers?" he asked sharply, staring at their faces and breathing heavily.

"The truth' Jane said.

"Nothing but the truth' Fraser boosts, standing right in front of him.

"What truth? If you want any truth, you should go and see a fortune-teller and let me go please" Charlie cries.

"You know what we are talking about right?" Amanda asked, staring into his eyes.

"I know no shit, I just wanna get outtta here...she's...she's coming for me...please let me go" he cries.

"What's he talking about?" David looked at Jake.

"The chocolate girl" Jake replied and looked at Jane and Amanda.

"How do you know about her" Charlie was surprised.

'I was besides the house when you and your friends got inside with the little girl but I don't know what happened in there" Jake replied.

'It was...it was Lucy...she did it' he cried fearfully.

"Who's Lucy?" Fraser asked him.

'One of the friends...probably' Jake answered.

"I, Elsa, Tiffany and Charlotte warned Lucy not to do it but she refused..She was too aggressive, she couldn't listen to us. We tried...we really did" he cried more.

"Tiffany?" Amanda, David and Jane surprised, asked.

"Tiffany Brooks, she is one of my closest friends" he replied and Amanda was speechless. Jane looked at her and grinned. David was confused.

"Why are my confused?"

"You know her" Jake stared at David, and Amanda slowly.

"That's Amanda's sister" David said and Charlie laughed.
