Chapter 5 Shut!

Carl Charles glared at Shirina Louis. Its sharp eyes shot out a ferocious ray, like a predatory lion. Instinct before life and death made her shrug, ducking her head to avoid.

Carl Charles approached, squeezed Shirina Louis' chin, forcing her to raise her head.

"What are you plotting?"

He squeezed her chin so tightly that she couldn't say anything. Only eyes were wide open, whirling around, not knowing where to look. The hut, covered with animal fur, was less than an arm's length away from her. Her face was as red as a tomato.

The sarcastic voice reverberated over the top of her head. "Get rid of those lustful eyes now! That's disgusting!"

Carl Charles shook his hand and turned to leave. Shirina Louis staggered to the ground, staring at his tall back, furious with herself.

He scolded her precisely!

He is someone who is already pregnant but still loves a single female. She must hate him, not blush in shame at his body.

Shirina Louis didn't have time to give herself a slap to wake up when an older female came over to apply medicine to her. From the memory of this body, she knew this was the Healer's assistant. The tribe always protects and pampers the female. The healer will immediately examine and treat the injured female.

The assistant applied blue medicine to the wound as if someone had rubbed salt and pepper into it; it hurt so much that her body trembled. She bit her lip and bled, but didn't make a sound. Her rebellious reaction sounded like surprise.

"The wound was bleeding a lot, but it was just a skin wound. It will be over in a few days."

"Thank!"

"The person you need to thank is not me." Like a nonchalant reply.

"What do you mean?" Shirina Louis bewildered.

Like the one who didn't answer, her gaze went to Carl Charles, who was standing talking to the patriarch.

"Impossible!" Shirina Louis immediately denied. The entire lion tribe knew that Carl Charles's lap was Kaytlyn Louis. He never put a mate in his eyes.

"Carl Charles is a talented beastman who will succeed the clan leader. Even though you don't deserve to be his company, don't be a kicker." Like the one who throws back a profound word and then takes the medicine bowl and leaves.

Shirina Louis recognized the distaste and disdain from this breed. She, like the entire lion tribe, wants her to cancel the contract of friendship with Carl Charles. Deep down, she wanted to cut all ties with this beastman, but her mind reminded her that the situation was not appropriate. This world has dangerous wild animals, backward living, and a poor life. She is not strong enough to survive alone. She thought that being the patriarch's son could make her plan to find the Black Star more favorable.

In order to save her son, she accepts to live with the man who has the face of the other evil husband.

While Shirina Louis sat alone in a corner of the courtyard, the beastmen quickly cut the animal flesh, dividing it into small pieces. Females go up to help distribute meat to each household. Households line up to receive meat, laughing and talking happily. Shirina Louis quickly realized that Kaytlyn Louis had a great reputation among the females. From young to old, everyone loves her.

Shirina Louis didn't want to see her friendly smile, so she turned her attention to how people divide meat. The tribe kept the meat and fur of wild animals for food and clothing. They discarded organs and bones in large piles.

"Stand up!" A small shout suddenly resounded, startling Shirina Louis.

Carl Charles stood beside her ever since. On his shoulder was a large lump of flesh. He frowned at her, impatiently urging.

"How long do you want to sit here and embarrass me? Like the female in the family, all help to divide the meat, she alone sits here leisurely. Don't know what's shameless!"

Shirina Louis struggled to stand up in her hands. The wound on her back caused her pain, and sweat poured down her temples.

"So... so let me go over there and help..."

Carl Charles mistook her pale face for fear of being exposed to her lazy mind. His voice became even colder.

"It's all over. What are you going to do to help? Go home!"

This man is obnoxious to others. A person who has an affair with his sister-in-law, a person who is pregnant but still secretly loves a single woman, both are equally nauseating. Because Shirina Louis wanted to play the role of a timid girl so as not to make anyone suspicious, she bowed her head to all the harsh scoldings of Carl Charles.

"Still not going? Both futile and slow!"

Shirina Louis hurriedly followed. But when she walked two steps, she stopped, pointed to the pile of organs piled on the ground, and asked regretfully.

"Why don't you take some back?"

"Take it back for what?"

"Cooking."

The atmosphere around Carl Charles's body was suddenly unusual. Handsome face stiffened, jaw clenched, he looked at her as if he wanted to eat her alive. He gritted his teeth and said every word.

"You want to insult me, don't you?"

His sharp eyes and bitter expression scared her. She bit her lip and shook her head, afraid to say the wrong thing.

"The organs of wild beasts are poisonous. They will die if they eat them. I am your beastman, capable of fighting and hunting. But she wanted to bring home poisonous food to cook. You want people to think that I'm useless, unable to support my company, right?"

Animal organs are poisonous? Shirina Louis turned her head in surprise and looked at the wild beast's organs that were littered on the open ground. She muttered to herself.

"Impossible! If we can eat wild animals, We also can eat the hearts, livers, and intestines of wild animals."

"Shut!"

Carl Charles's roar caught everyone's attention. He got angry and grabbed Shirina Louis by the wrist, pulling her away quickly. She struggled to follow. She felt that the beastman in front of her was not only a traitor, but also extremely stupid.

Edible animal organs! Shirina Louis whispered in her heart.

Carl Charles held onto Shirina Louis's hand until he reached the door of the tent, then let go as if he had touched something dirty. He glared angrily at her sweaty face. The weak body is troublesome!

Healer put a lot of medicine on Shirina Louis' shoulder. Carl Charles rudely pulled her, but the wound did not open. She felt only burning and itching, not pain like when she was in the forest.

"What are you doing standing there? It's getting dark. Hurry and cook!" Carl Charles scolded irritably.

Shirina Louis hesitated for a few seconds, then lifted the animal skin that resembled a tent door and poked her head inside. Next to it was the impatient Carl Charles' voice.

"I have things to take care of. You stay in the tent, don't go out and embarrass me."

Shirina Louis asked back reflexively. "Did you bring Kaytlyn Louis meat?"

After she finished asking, both she and Carl Charles were surprised.

She was surprised to realize that this was the memory of this body. Carl Charles always gave Kaytlyn Louis wild meat. The beast god recognizes gourd and rarely eats meat.

Carl Charles hesitated, his voice carried a little guilt. "Kaytlyn Louis's leg is injured, so eat some meat to heal quickly."

Shirina Louis remembered the scratch on Kaytlyn Louis' ankle and compared it to the wound on her back. She understood where she stood. She nodded at Carl Charles.

"Okay. You go fast. Kaytlyn Louis' wound is so severe that it needs to be replenished."

Until Shirina Louis disappeared behind the tent door, Carl Charles was still standing in place, frowning in thought.
