"How come these ladies with alluring beauties wanted to be a palace's slave? Were your decisions final? You could be fitted to be a concubine for well-known men here at Kingdom Cervantez, and earn a lot of gold coins. But in your beauties, I might say that the three of you could be a part of the descendant's pleasure dolls, and they would give what you like just by clicking their fingers."
Helmar gasped, and shook his head vigorously in disapproval at what the Emissary Solomon said. Her expression became blank. She wanted to slit the throat of this man in front of her, but she stopped herself to do a scandalous action. She needed to calm herself, and act as a weak lady that couldn't talk.
Daffodil interrupted. "Just a minute, we would only want to be slaves, and not to be a part of concubine or pleasure dolls of the descendants, Emissary Solomon. We wanted to work in doing palace's chores, and not earning from sex. Even though we were poor wanderers, we were taught by our parents to have dignity in ourselves."
"Oh? I apologize for my behavior." Emissary Solomon cleared his throat. "May I know where you came from, and name yourselves too?"
"We were just wanderers without any kingdom to serve on. We were saved by them along the way, because our sister fainted due to hungriness. I'm Daffodil. She was Eva, our sister who couldn't talk, and the youngest was Deja," Daffodil smoothly answered.
"Yes, please help us to be slaves in the palace, so that we could have shelter to lean on. Our sister couldn't express herself in talking, and we didn't want to leave her alone since she couldn't scream or yell for help if she was in danger. She also wanted to earn too, but no one accepted her because of her incapability," Deja added.
Emissary Solomon was shocked while looking at her. "What? You were a mute?"
She smiled while playing with her facade, and nodded her head. She gazed at Helena and Hestia's direction, and they were quiet, but she definitely knew that they were confused about Daffodil, Deja and her sudden change of actions, especially that she could speak along their way.
She looked back to stare at Emissary Solomon, and waited for his decision.
Emissary Solomon sighed. "Alright. I would help the three of you to be part of slaves in the palace, and talk to Old Maiden Lola for that. What a coincidence, I'm on my way too towards the palace to run some errands."
Helmar sighed in relief. "Thank you, Emissary Solomon. I'm glad that they would now proceed towards the palace safely with your presence."
"Yes, I'm also pleased that you have helped them to be here too. May our deity bless you and your family because of your kindness," Emissary Solomon uttered that made Helmar bow. "For now, kindly ride the wagon over there, so that we could proceed towards the palace."
Daffodil and Deja bowed too. "Thank you for your kindness, Emissary Solomon. You should live more years, so that you could help others too."
She smiled and nodded in agreement. But in her mind, she was stabbing this man that a while ago wanted her, Daffodil and Deja to be pleasure dolls of well-known men or even the descendants in the palace.
Emissary Solomon coughed, said nothing, and stood up as them too. They went outside the vicinity, and her gaze dropped again to the painting. She would truly meet them too when they arrived at the palace. He motioned Daffodil, Deja and her to sit on a well-burnished wagon that was towed by his horses, and when they were sitting properly. Hestia immediately rushed to her and handed a bag full of bread and cheese which made her smile. Emissary Solomon started to position himself in the front to start navigating the horses and it moved fast. She gazed from the back and she saw Helena, Helmar and Hestia who were waving at them that made her smile.
'Thank you, and I wished the three of you for your abundance and safety. I would also remember what Hestia told me.'
PRINCESS NIEVA had never ending amusement. She was looking intently on how disciplined and mighty the warriors who were guarding the barrier and wearing full gear armors. Even the structures screamed power, and really suited for being the strongest kingdom of all. There were lots of trees, and even flowers that surrounded the area. An enormous fountain in the center captured her attention, and the design of it was a beautiful lady that was surrounded by seven little children, and it had beautiful flowers that she never knew what it was.
The wagon suddenly stopped, and two warriors went to the sides of the wagon. Emissary Solomon motioned one warrior.
"Was Old Maiden Lola inside the palace?" Emissary Solomon asked.
The warrior nodded. "Yes, Emissary. Old Maiden Lola was inside, and doing her duties."
"Alright. I have company, and they wanted to be slaves here in the palace, and I accompanied them also here, because I would talk to King Thesaurus by now. But we will go first to where Old Maiden Lola was."
The warrior nodded again. "I would take that in my mind, and tell General Haccian about this matter, Emissary. Kindly lead their way, Warrior Edriggu."
Warrior Edriggu bowed a little, and then helped Daffodil, Deja and her to get out of the well-burnished wagon of Emissary Solomon. They walked a bricked pathway until they went into another barrier that was well-embellished. She couldn't take off her eyes to the beauty of the motif and ornaments that had gold. There was a huge chandelier at the center that was designed like teardrops. But what most really captivated her attention was a huge painting of Queen Allarisette and King Thesaurus' when they got married. Through their eyes she could feel the love. While they were walking, more paintings of the family of King Thesaurus were being displayed on the golden walls that she really adored.
'King Thesaurus was indeed fetishes in creating a memory lane throughout painting for her family. I wondered how many paintings were there in this palace? Also, I couldn't see the previous paintings of King Thesaurus' descendants, because all of the displayed paintings were about their childhood or even when Queen Allarisette was alive.'
They turned to the other direction of the palace, and she noticed how huge and extravagant it was until they stopped in a vicinity wherein some ladies wore long dresses with sleeves in different colors, and their hairs were neatly tied in high ponytail with simple flower ornaments. Emissary Solomon knocked on a wooden door, and in a blink of an eye it opened, revealing an older woman who had a strict aura that wore a golden black long dress that had sleeves. Her hair was neatly bun, and decorated with gold hair ornaments that had a flower design that had a glitter tassel up to the back of her neck made of tiny stones.
"Old Maiden Lola, I accompanied along my way here in the palace the three lady wanderers that wanted to become slaves here in the palace," Emissary Solomon stated.
Old Maiden Lola moved forwards, and inspected each one of them by touching each of their chins to uplift their faces, and then their hands. After that, Old Maiden Lola moved backwards while crossing her arms under her chest.
"Name yourselves," Old Maiden Lola uttered in a serious tone.
"I'm Daffodil," Daffodil said, and then motioned her hand. "Her name was Eva, she couldn't talk, and the youngest was Deja. We were siblings that taking chances to become slaves here in this mighty kingdom."
Old Maiden Lola gazed at her with a hint of disgust on its face. "What? You were mute? I wouldn't accept a lady that had incapability here to be my slave. I wanted a slave that could talk, hardworking, and not a burden that felt like a princess. It was such a shame that you were born mute, and I would not accept you. I wanted you out of sight as soon as possible. It was such a disgrace that you were here in front of me. Just go elsewhere, and find a man who could save your pathetic life, but I bet he would be unfortunate to marry a woman like you."
She equaled Old Maiden Lola's intense stare at her. This woman could be a hindrance to her plans, and she wouldn't let herself be thrown out of the Kingdom Cervantez, just because of her facade.
Deja shook her head. "Please hear us out, Old Maiden Lola. All of us were upskilled by our parents to become loyal and hardworking to where we could work for our living. Don't belittle our sister just because she couldn't talk, her skills and hard work were more important."
"I agreed with what she said, Old Maiden Lola. Anyone that wanted to become a slave were accepted here in the kingdom," Emissary Solomon interrupted that made Old Maiden sneered.
"May I remind you that I rule here in this vicinity. I'm the Head of Slaves, and you shouldn't interfere my decision. Just mind your role in the palace Emissary Solomon, and keep your mouth shut, because I wouldn't follow you as much as you wanted," Old Maiden Lola sarcastically said, stating its position.
Daffodil kneeled in front of Old Maiden Lola that earned a gasp from Emissary Solomon, and Deja also kneeled too while she was standing. "Was it too unfair? My sister could do anything by doing chores here in the palace. We traveled too long just to get here. Please, hear us out, and accept our sister."
Old Maiden Lola's brow arched. "My words were final. This mute wouldn't be a slave here in the palace no matter what happens-"
"What's the chaos here all about?" asked by a hoarse voice that made Old Maiden Lola's face pale, and immediately kneeled on the shiny wooden floor. Emissary Solomon and Warrior Edriggu bowed too.
"There was no chaos in here, My Highness. I just informing them the rules to be a slave, and they couldn't accept my final decision. I would now order the warriors to ushered this woman outside, because she wasn't accepted as a slave under my wing. If her siblings objected, they were also free to leave," Old Maiden Lola answered calmly.
Her brows furrowed in confusion. A while ago this woman was very sarcastic, and mocking her just because her facade meant that she couldn't speak or was mute. She clenched her fist in annoyance with this woman for belittling a lady with incapability.
"Hmm. . . Really?" he mumbled.
She was startled when the face of a man suddenly blocked her view of Old Maiden Lola that made her dumbfounded.
"May I know why you were displeased by what Old Maiden Lola answered?" he asked her with a smile that made her mind turn blank while staring at him.
'Who was he? I'm so absurd in my irritation towards Old Maiden Lola that I didn't know what I would do now.'
This man was a handsome man that was wearing a dark blue with gold embellishment around its long sleeve top while his bottom was dark brown trousers that well corporate to its black boots. His dark brown hair was long and half of it was tied with a gold band. He had brown almond-eyes, aristocratic nose, thin lips and a buff built.
"Ahm. . . May I interfere, Prince Trey. The lady you were asking was a mute, and she couldn't answer your question. She was with her siblings, and they wanted to become a slave here in the palace, but Old Maiden Lola rejected their sister, because of her incapability," Emissary Solomon stated.
His smile suddenly faded while looking at her. "Oh, forgive me for asking you." His gaze shifted to Daffodil and Deja. "The three of you wanted to be slaves in the palace? Why?"
Daffodil nodded eagerly. "Yes, because we wanted to earn money for our living, and have a shelter too. We were wandering for too long just to be safe. We couldn't leave our sister alone, since she couldn't speak and yell for help if somebody could do nasty things to her. We were pleading to Old Maiden Lola to accept our sister here too, because we didn't want to leave her alone all by herself."
"I agree. It didn't make sense that just because she was a mute, automatically she wouldn't be accepted here to be a slave. My sister, Eva, was loyal and hard working in doing chores. She wanted to earn too from her hard work, and at the same time be with us. Please, help us. . ." Deja pleaded.
He sighed and nodded his head. "Alright. I'm convinced now."
Old Maiden Lola gasped, and lifted her head. "Prince Trey, she wasn't-"
He motioned his hand that made Old Maiden Lola stop immediately. "I wanted them to be my slaves to do my chores, and not yours to be mandate. Be aware that we needed to be equal to anyone as long as they wanted to work and earn for their living. Accept them if they were qualified and not being seen just because of their incapability. My words were sealed with finality."
She was beyond bewildered, because he defended them and especially her. He smiled at her, and that made her heart leap in delight. When he walked away from where they were, she was still looking from his back.
Emissary Solomon cleared his throat that came back from her reverie towards her savior.
"Prince Trey had already decided, Old Maiden Lola. You wouldn't want to get punished by disobeying it, right?"
Old Maiden Lola snorted. "I have ears and I'm not brainless like what you accompanied to me, Emissary Solomon. Don't repeat it. I would only act in accordance, because of the words of Prince Trey."
'So, my savior's name was Prince Trey, and for sure a descendant of King Thesaurus. I couldn't sense if he was my mate since I'm wearing the fire amulet necklace around my neck to conceal my true self.'
