6 HIDDEN TRUTH

Episode six

Previously on episode five. ..... " Holy shit", I muttered and entered my car, parked it on a safer road, took my phone and locked my car. I ran off immediately to school.

Continued. .... Ann's POV

"We've discussed on our sports day, we have decided that you all must participate ,these are the competition distributed by the school board. We got the swimming contest, dancing Competition, we also have the football team and tennis ball, music, high jump and long jump, basketball team and beauty contest. You all must participate in the upcoming events. The date has been fixed and the time table written down. It has been posted on the school notice board". The principal concluded and stepped down. The games teacher came up immediately.

"On the case of the basketball team, they were told to elect their leader three days ago."

Immediately I lost interest in becoming the leader, ava is no where to be found and I can't manage the team on my own, it's better not to be heard of anymore than messing it up myself.

"Who volunteer to be the leader ?,"there was silent, I looked at Amelia, she was smiling, the question came up again.

"I, "everyone turned. They were shocked, Ava?, I smiled. I knew it all along. She was panting heavily, maybe as a result of running too hard.

"And you are? ",the games master asked.

"Josh Ava. "she replied. Everyone started murmuring.

"You are a new student," the principal shouted from her seat.

"And I'm a human being ma. I'm human just like you all, is anything wrong with it?, she asked. The principal was amazed.

Amelia stood up and said "How could she?, she's a new student and can't be a coach according to the school rules and regulations." Now what is she saying? How is it against the school rules and regulations for a new student to become a team leader? .

"Really? "ava said and chuckled and opened her school bag. Students were watching, teachers looked on. She brought out a magazine and gave it to the games master. Smart girl, where did she get it from?, I smiled within me.Amelia has found her match today. she thinks she can run mouth anyhow.

"By what I read in this magazine, it was stated that any student,new or old could be a leader."the game teacher said.Amelia sat down angrily.

"Yeah, it's not against the law of the school, and we all have no problem with you becoming the team white basket ball coach, we should have discussed it privately but we had to cuz it has already been banned four years ago."

The meeting ended and everyone despair into their classes, Amelia left in a haste. I went straight to ava, where some girls were already congratulating her, I called her. She smiled.

"You?, I.......

"I did it for Lily", she answered and I immediately hugged her.

Ava's pov

I was taken aback when Ann hugged me, it's not a big deal, I just wanted the team to go on, that's all.

"Thank you ava,you have no idea what problem that this would have caused if you had not taken up the leadership. "Ann said.

"Ooh please, it's not a big deal, I don't even know what leader should do not to talk of organizing them," I said and she laughed.

"I'm always here for you. "

"Hey C. D "Someone called behind me, I looked back and it was that idiot.

"What's c. d?", Ann asked him.

"Cute dog," he answered winking at me, I rolled my eyes angrily. God, please I don't want to see this guy anymore, he frustrates me with every word that comes out of his mouth. Ann laughed and excused her self.

"When will you stop calling me that?", I fumed.

"I can't stop calling you that you know," he answered nonchalantly.

"What do you want?," I asked impatiently, I don't wanna stand here anymore.

"Do you play basketball?", he asked. God, is that what he wants to ask me?, he must be very stupid.

"Don't you have work to do?, I asked.

"I don't," he answered.

"Then I do have, go find something doing." I told him and left the hall. What's wrong with him?, asking some sort of stupid stuff.

Amelia's POV

"That idiot, that imbecile, she dare challenge me?," I shouted furiously.

"Calm down Amy, we gonna......

"Shut up, shut up, how dare you talk?, it was your fault, you didn't do your job well. How could you best ?, I asked you to keep your eye on them and also you should monitor them, but what did you do?, huh?".

"Ooh please, you asked me to keep my eye on Ann not the new girl."she said.This girl is really testing my patience here, I wish I can strangle her to death.

"Are you so dumb, huh, are you dumb that you couldn't see Ann and the new girl has gotten too close? Ooh, you want me to tell you everything before you act, you are a fool best. "I said angrily

"Really?, I'm a fool, then what are you? Just a day, a day, the new girl defeated you, you think you know all abi, nope shame Amelia, moris is coming back, this time you are going down for good." she blasted. She has said enough, I rushed her immediately and grabbed her hair, she's an idiot, she just insulted me.

"Have you gone nuts Amelia, what are you doing?," Doris shouted and grabbed me.

"Leave me, she has said enough", I said not wanting to release her, best was now breathing hard. Trying to get some air, she's asthmatic. But I don't care, she should die. Doris immediately pushed me heavily and I fell off lying face down to the ground. Doris grabbed best purse and brought out her inhaler, she immediately held best face up, now putting in the inhaler to her already opened mouth. I looked on, I couldn't talk again, she deserves to die, how could she rain insults on me, Is she insane?. I got up and looked at her.

"You guys should think of a new plan", I muttered loudly and left the music class. Best should be careful or I end her life.

Ava's pov

I was walking down to the canteen to get some ice cream and burger. I didn't take anything today, I was in a hurry, thank God I made it on time. I collided with her, yeah moris, she looks dull, her eyes swollen. Then there was this smell around her, something like strong drink. she looked at me. I was about walking pass her when she said something. I didn't hear her well.

"Can I take five minutes of your time?", she asked me, I just looked on, I was surprised, she has never spoken to me, I continued looking at her not knowing what to say.

"please? ",she urged and I nodded. I joined her and we got ourselves in the garden house.

"I'm moris," she said stretching out her hands for a handshake. Chai, so she's this nice.

"I'm ava."i answered and took her hands,smiling.

"I'm sorry for not getting along with you, believe me it was not my intentions. I'm sorry for snubbing, I'm sorry for.......

"It's okay, it's not your fault tho, you were going through a lot, but... pardon me, why did you change all of a sudden.?", I asked and she smiled.

"I found out that I had some responsibilities to take care of ,I had to do that even if it will cost me my life. Thank you for taking up the leadership".

"How did you know?, "I asked.

"It's all over the school" she answered and I nodded not knowing what to say. She immediately hugged me lightly.

"Thank you", I heard her whisper and I smiled and patted her lightly.

"moris", I called and she disengaged from the hug.

"Will you help me?", I asked looking at her eyes.

"I've made alot of mistake by not sticking to the group, I've ignored and gave so many flimsy excuse, but you know what I'm back again, all we need now is cooperation, I think we need to join hands together and get it done, Amelia has bitten more than she can chew. We got to make her pay. We are in this together right?" She said., I nodded, although Amelia got too far, I had pity on her cos what I'm seeing right here is no more moris but revenge itself.

Dave's pov

"Hey, what do you think of ava?," Derek asked as we settled down at the cafeteria.

"She's sexy, well body shaped,........

"Shut up", Dennis shouted slapping Mike's head with his book.

"What?", He demanded as we laughed, he's the most naughty and dirty minded amongst us.

"I think she's brave ."Dennis chipped in, suddenly I looked at him.

"Brave?," I asked.

"Yeah, very brave and intelligent too".He added.

"How do you know all these?", Derek asked as we watched him.

"I've talked with her before," he said sipping from his can of juice.

"What about you Dave?", Derek asked me, as they all stared at me.

"me?," I chuckled.

"No us,"mike answered and I gave him a frown.

"I think she's crazy, we had talked before, she seem to dislike me." I answered and Dennis laughed.

"Because you are a flirt man, do you think she would listen to you after what she saw you doing in the toilet?, or you think she's one of those girls you mess up with". Dennis stated.

"Who told you she's not interested in me huh, she's just trying to prove stubborn, do you wanna bet it?" ,I asked him.

"Bet what?, fine I put in my mother's necklace, you know how important it is to me." Denis said. That sounds nice, I've been eyeing that necklace for a long time now, it's ancient and rare to find. Dennis seems to forget I always win every challenge. Now ava is a tool to get it. I smiled inwardly.

Derek and Mike were speechless, they all knew about the necklace.

"Are you sure about this Dennis?", Derek asked as he looked at him.

"Damn! fucking sure". He answered sincerely. He's serious about this.

"You seem to be too sure about this girl, have you met her before?," Mike asked him.

"Nope," he answered winking at him. Wow, what a challenge?, first, i will make her my girlfriend very soon. I have my way.

"I guess this discussion is over. I'm off to the class". I told them as I left the cafeteria.

Fast forward.................

I went into the classroom and my eyes met with moris ,she immediately turned her eyes away from me, beside her were ava and Ann discussing with her. What charm has this girl got?.

Just two days, she brought back our moris after these years of many trials. I still have feelings for her tho but not that much again, I'm being distant and far away from her before she causes more heartbreak to me, I regret the day I met her, I should have known she was this evil. I went to my seat and sat down, then those memories came flowing through me.

Flash backs.

I was in my room eating when a message popped up in my phone. it says I should log in to my face book account. There's a surprise waiting for me. I did just that but what I saw made me speechless. I thought it was a dream.

I saw Alex, moris ex with her, kissing on a bed. What rubbish?, I wanted to send a message to the sender but the person already blocked me, I went into the profile and couldn't see anyone, this is a new account. I will show this to moris when she comes. Suddenly I heard a knock on my door. I kept the phone on the bed and opened the door, it was moris knocking.

I gave her a stare and went back in. I sat on my bed thinking.

"I have something to show you moris", she spoke out.

"OK go on." I urged her. She shifted uncomfortably on the bed, seems like what she wants to say is important. anyway I just have to listen.

"Let's break up."She said.

"Huh?", it came like a shock to me.

"Yeah, I'm serious about it." she said with so much boldness in her voice. seems like I'm dreaming today or what.

"Why? "I managed to ask.I already forgot about the picture, it's of no use anymore. I tried to hide my tears from falling as I pictured her with Alex, why Alex?, why should it be my rival?

"I felt it's best to be apart. " she said

"Don't tell me that, is it because of him?, come on babe, try to be plain, you are leaving because of Alex." I fumed.

"That's not it, you don't understand and you won't understand."

"Then, can you explain this?", I asked showing her the picture . Her eyes widened as she saw it. "you think I wouldn't know huh, do you think I'm dumb?,you know what, get the hell out of my house". I shouted furiously. She was taken aback at my outburst. "Go and never come near me."i said. She left my room immediately. I grabbed my plate of food and smashed it into pieces. I hate liars, I hate moris.

..................flash back end.............

I drew back my tears as I relaxed on my chair. I looked at Ava, she looked at me too, I muttered "sweetheart" to her and she immediately rolled her eyes away from me. What's this rolling of eyes every time?, is that all she have to do whenever I look at her.

I continued staring, she felt uncomfortable cos I could see her flipping through the book she was reading without reading it. immediately she took the book and left the class. I stood up immediately and followed her, I couldn't see her again, is she a witch?, she must be nearby. I kept walking through the veranda checking out different classes but she wasn't in any, I went to the end of the veranda and walked into the lab.

"Hey," someone shouted and I turned around, here she is. she looks so plenty, she's very pretty.

"Last time I asked you why you are following me, you denied it, what exactly do you want?, why are you following me jerk?", she shouted. Gosh, this girl should stop shouting before students will think I'm raping her here.

"What did you just call me?," I asked.

"Do you need a soothsayer to tell you that?", she barked.

Wow, so much ego, I'm planning something big for this girl. I looked at her lips, so pinkish in colour. I went straight to the door and pushed it with my right leg as I closed it, she just stared on as if I've grown winds. I started going round her thinking of what to do with her, she's in my hands now, it's just like a go ahead order.
