Chapter 4 Getting to Know Ryan Parker

ANNA JACKSON

Today is my first day of work, and I'm standing in front of his home. I forgot to ask him something yesterday, and I need to ask it now, or I'll keep thinking about it while he's around.

When I pushed the doorbell, a woman opened it.

"Yes. What is your name? "She inquired.

"I'm here to look after Mr. Parker's youngster. He gave me the job."

"Yes, indeed! Last night, he told me. Come on in."

My jaw dropped wide as soon as I stepped inside; that day, I was in such a rush that I didn't see how lovely this home was.

"Please be patient. I'll contact Sir."

I smiled as she walked upstairs and returned after a few minutes.

"Sir, he's already gone to work."

"Okay. What is your given name? "I inquired about her.

"My name is Maria. What about you? "

"Jackson, Anna, But you may call me Anna if you like."

"All right, Anna."

"Can you show me the child's room? I'm sorry, I forgot his name?

"Ryan is his name. And come with me, and I'll show you his chamber."

I followed her wherever she led me. "But, Anna, I don't believe you'll have much work to do since he's reticent and keeps to himself. Nothing, no friends. Every day, he'll have a tutor come to his house and instruct him. "Sir arranged it for him," I said, nodding. Ryan's room is here."

"Thank you," she said as she walked away.

I entered by opening the door.

This room is adorable.

I looked around for the child and eventually found him sitting in the corner of the room, playing with some cars.

I cleared my throat to gain his attention since I believed he was unaware of my presence.

Nothing has changed.

"Hello, my name is Anna Jackson. I've been recruited as your babysitter by your father. "

Still no response, and he pretended I wasn't in the room.

I groaned and approached him, kneeling in front of him and looking at him.

Oh, Jesus! Those cheeks, those eyes.

"Hey. What is your given name? "I inquired.

"Ryan," he said eventually.

That voice, Jesus! He is the epitome of cuteness.

"So you want me to play with you, Ryan? I'm willing to play with you."

He shook his head and returned his attention to his automobiles.

"Would you want to go to the garden?

He shook his head once more.

What is his issue? He is being impolite.

I stood up and walked over to the chair, where I sat and watched him play.

This work is quite tedious.

Then I thought, why not look for a rental apartment? I pulled out my phone and began exploring flats. Finally, after an hour of looking, I found one that is both cheap and nice. I believe this would work, but I need to check it with Nanny. I hope she loves it.

I then turned to look at Ryan, who was still playing.

He must be hungry, and I am as well.

I got up and asked him, "Are you hungry? Do I need to bring anything? "

He shook his head once more.

This kid. It is the worst.

I then heard his stomach grumble.

"I'll simply bring something for you," someone is hungry but still lying.

I walked down to grab him some food and made my way to the kitchen, where I noticed Maria working.

"Hey! Could I please use the kitchen? I felt obligated to produce something for Ryan."

"Oh no, that's not your job. It's my responsibility, and Sir has given me explicit orders to prepare dinner for Ryan."

"Okay... So, could you kindly create something for Ryan? He's starving."

"Did he tell you that?

"She inquired, surprised.

"Well, not precisely, but I figured it out when his stomach grumbled."

"Oh. When I saw the youngster didn't speak to anybody, I thought. She said he is always on his own "While cooking the dinner.

"And why is this so?

"I inquired because I was becoming more interested in this youngster.

"I'm not sure. He never speaks a word. He is only pleased when Sir is around and only speaks to him "

"Oh." I'm curious as to why, but who will tell me?

I don't have the confidence to approach Mr. Parker since embarrassment kills me. As for Ryan, I don't believe he'll tell me.

Anyway, I don't need to know; I'll do my work and get paid to pay the rent and Nanny, and I can enjoy a pleasant life; I don't believe I should care about Ryan too much.

After a long and dull day, I returned home. I didn't see Mr. Parker once today, and I really wanted to ask him something, but he never showed up, so how could I? And this question is killing me.

Nanny summoned me to supper, and as I sat in the chair, she gave me my meal and sat in front of me with hers.

"I was looking for an apartment, Nanny, and I finally found one. I believe it's excellent." I then pulled out my phone and showed her the photo. This particular one."

She took a close look at it. "Yes. It's fine."

"Really! Did you like it? "

"Yes, Anna, I enjoyed it."

"Thank you, God! I'll go talk about it before going to work tomorrow."

"I sincerely apologize, Anna. You have a lot of problems, in my opinion."

"Nanny, please stop blaming yourself. This is not your fault. Did I mention, by the way, that the person who... That night, he took me to his house."

"Umm... "Let me think," she said as if she was preoccupied with her thoughts, although I knew she already knew who I was referring to."

"Oh, you mean the person to whom you surrendered your virginity?" she laughed.

"Yes, that man," I said as I plunged the fork into the table.

"Oh, this is going to be interesting to hear. What did he do? Did you meet him again? Oh, Jesus! What did he say? Don't tell me you both did it again. Did you use protection? Oh, and did you-"

"Nanny, please stop. It's nothing like that; he's now my supervisor."

"WHAT?" she exclaimed. "Who is he?"

"Yes, he is my employer, and can you believe I slept with him, or at least I slept with him?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"Umm... I don't remember anything clearly, but I guess we did it since the last recollection I have is pulling him, and he fell on top of me, and I don't remember anything after that," I stated again, attempting to recall that night.

"Damn, Anna, you get horny when you're drunk, and I thought you were too pure for such things."

I locked my gaze on her once again.

"You know what's worse? He has a child, and he's quite adorable."

"Oh dear, that's so sad; try again; you could have a chance with him."

"Are you insane? Hell no! He's my employer."

"So what. Haven't you read those Boss and secretary books?"

"I'm not sure why I tell you everything; you make everything worse."

"Oh, Anna! You're no fun. Envision how much fun it would be if you and he started dating. Exciting, exciting, loving. Oh my, Jesus, I can imagine it right now."

"You haven't even seen him, Nanny."

"So what? You've given his characteristics; I can picture now."

I sighed, frustrated.

"Don't bother me while I'm working with my fantasy; let's continue," she said, "then your life will take a chance, you will fall insane in love, you will not be able to live without him, then both of you will be married, then kids, then another baby, then happily ever after."

She finished with a massive grin on her face. I gave her a blank stare.

Is she inebriated?

Is it necessary for me to take her to the doctor?

Is she in need of a psychiatric hospital?

"Umm... I believe you should relax," I said as I rose from my chair and stroked her shoulder.

"You think I'm kidding," she remarked solemnly.

"Think? Of course, you do; you've gone insane."

"I'm confident you'll agree to me one day."

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Only in your dreams."

"By the way, I prepared your favorite cookies; bring some to work tomorrow, and maybe you may enjoy them in your spare time."

"Okay..."
