Chapter 9 My Child

ANNA JACKSON

"Are you serious, Dad?" Ryan inquired, munching on popcorn from the bowl I was holding.

I nodded while munching popcorn from the same bowl.

"Oh my God, it's incredible."

"I understand."

"But, Bee, did you see something?" he questioned as he looked at me. I looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"What?"

"That you also carried out Plan 2; you claimed, Dad, that she uttered cruel things to you."

Yes, indeed! That's something I didn't realize.

"So we're down to one now, I guess?" I questioned, and he nodded.

"But we're not going to go for it right now; I believe we should wait a little longer."

I agreed by nodding.

He addressed me as "Bee." I fixed my gaze on him. "Are we friends?" I asked, nodding. "I don't know anything about you; can you tell me something?" he inquired.

I cheerfully turned to him and replied, "Sure, Anna Jackson-" he cut me off.

"Not this, Bee. Like your loves and dislikes."

"Will you stop up and listen to me?" he said, nodding like a child.

"I'm 24 years old, and my favorite color is black-" he cuts me off again.

"Me, too."

"Shush, let me finish."

He nodded once more.

"I like dancing and listening to music-"

"I like watching movies," I said, glaring at him. He then indicated with his finger on his lips.

"I like eating chocolate cakes-"

" I adore doughnuts," he cuts me off again. When he saw I was staring at him dangerously, his wide grin faded, and he placed a finger on his lips.

"I can create the finest cupcakes in the world-"

"You're right, but you never created them for me."

"I'm sure I will one day."

"Okay," he answered with a smile.

"And you know my Nanny makes the tastiest cookies in the world, which I gave you last time, but you declined."

He smirked. Then he inquired, "Nanny?"

"Yep, Nanny. I live with my Nanny, and let me tell you, she is fantastic. She is everything to me, and I love her so much-" he cuts me off again.

"So you don't love me?" I could see he was upset.

"I didn't say that. I love you to infinity."

He laughed and grabbed me hard, saying, "I love you too, Bee."

I'm delighted to see him evolving. He's finally opening up to me. I'm curious about his mother's whereabouts and why she abandoned such a darling. He is priceless. He just wants someone to share his emotions with, someone to be his friend.

-----------------------------

I've been working here for a month now. My friendship with Ryan has grown tremendously.

I'm not sure why Liam, but I am fascinated with him. I become scared when he's near me, and my pulse rate quickens. And anytime he's with that BBB, I'm envious, and my heart hurts so terribly. I want to murder that BBB.

Ryan's head was resting in my lap as I sat on his bed. He was on his phone, playing a game. I sat there thinking about his life. There are no friends, no places to go, and just Dad, who is no fun. So dull.

Sigh.

Sigh.

Sigh.

He addressed me as "Bee." I made a hum. He stood up and said, "I forgot to tell you something."

"What?" I inquired.

"Umm... Granny and Grandpa are coming to visit me today."

"Oh, it sounds lovely."

"Yeah, it does, but I'm still not pleased," he answered, his expression sad.

"And why is that?" I said, frowning.

"Because BBB will attempt to impress Granny and Grandpa with all her antics, which I despise, and I'm not sure why Dad likes her so much."

"Oh," I responded, trying not to seem upset.

I'm curious what Liam sees in her. She's a b*tch. No, it does not. He can't see it because he's blind, and I despise him.

You're behaving as though he's your lover.

I wish he were.

"I wish you were Dad's fiancée," Ryan added, widening my eyes.

What on earth is he thinking?

Please, please, please. You, too, were thinking the same thing.

"Well, I'm not his girlfriend, so let's leave this subject and head to your playroom," I explained.

He enthusiastically nodded.

Yes, this youngster has a lovely playroom. He spends much of his time in his playroom when I'm not around. HE CHATS WITH ME when I come over; we play, watch movies, and enjoy listening to tales. So in the afternoon, I read him stories till he falls asleep.

Following time spent in the playroom. We eventually returned to the living room. I saw Liam seated on the sofa, his phone in his hand, while Mia touched his arm and talked about something. She grinned when she saw me.

What is this b*tch up to now?

Something horrible. Surely.

She then took Liam's arm and twisted him around, so he was facing her. He was perplexed by her quick move. She then grabbed his shirt and pressed her lips on him.

What the heck happened? I swear I'm going to murder her.

I don't see it.

Liam gets kissed by Bitch.

Noooo!

Oh, my heart!!!

When I turned away, I saw Ryan staring at them with wide eyes. With my hands, I hastily covered his eyes. Ryan yanked my hand away from his eyes and looked at me suspiciously. I pretended to grin at him.

"What's wrong with you?" said Liam angrily.

I turned around to find him standing there chatting to Mia. Mia moved in close to him, filling the gap between them. Then she placed her arms around his neck and murmured, "Baby, it's been so long since we've made love to each other; let me remain here tonight."

"What the heck! She's not staying here," Ryan muttered to himself.

All of her acts perplexed Liam. He then turned to his left to look at us. He looked at me for a while as if he was trying to read my thoughts. I averted my gaze. Liam walked away from Mia immediately.

"Mia isn't here, but Ryan is."

And I assumed he said it for me.

I'm a moron.

"Come on, Liam, Ryan knows how much we love one other," she murmured, and I glanced away, fighting back my emotions. Liam's attention was fixed on me.

What is he doing staring at me? He has such a lovely lover that he may look at her and kiss her to death. I don't mind.

Someone yelled, "Ryan!" When I opened the door, I saw an elderly woman and an elderly guy waiting there. Ryan rushed over to them and embraced them.

"Granny, I missed you," he said.

"Oh sweetie, me too," his grandmother murmured as she kissed his cheeks.

Ryan then took her hand in his and brought her inside. "You have to meet someone, Granny."

"Someone? Who is she?" the elderly lady said as she walked behind Ryan.

Ryan introduced her to me, saying, "Granny, here is Bee, my dearest friend."

"Wait, your friend?"

"Yes, Granny, she's the finest."

The elderly lady smiled as she glanced at me. I returned her grin.

"Umm... My name is Anna," I introduced myself.

"Nice to meet you, Anna; call me Leah."

I smiled and nodded.

"This is Ryan's babysitter, Mom, and Dad," Liam added, motioning to me.

"No, she's my buddy," Ryan said, staring at Liam.

Liam sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Oh darling, you are so gorgeous, and your name is perfect for you," Leah exclaimed.

"Thank you," I answered modestly.

"Oh, Leah, how I missed you."

Who do you think it is?

Ya. Ya. The only seeker of attention. BBB.Miss

Leah smiled as she turned to face Mia. Mia approached her and embraced her.

Oh my goodness! She's going to smash that old lady to death.

"I hope you're doing well," Mia inquired.

"I am. How about you? Are you doing well?" Leah inquired.

"I am, and Liam and I are pleased together."

That's why I call her brainless. She didn't inquire about you and Liam, Bitch.

"That's quite useful to know."

"You need to get married now," Leah stated to Liam.

Liam rolled his eyes and replied, "Mom, you know my response," with a bored expression.

Mia then ran up to Liam and grabbed his arm, saying, "We'll be there soon."

"NO WAY!"

If you're wondering, no, it's not me.

Ryan had huge eyes as I peered down.

Oh my God! This little one is repeating what I'm saying.

Everyone turned to stare at Ryan. Ryan then approached Liam and took a position in front of him.

"Dad, you are not marrying her," he growled.

"Ryan, sweetie, it will happen sometime; you just have to accept it," Mia murmured to Ryan with the nicest grin. Liam gave me another look.

Anna, ignore him.

You should ignore him.

"I wasn't speaking to you, Miss White," Ryan clarified.

"You're not going to speak to her like that, Ryan," Liam remarked, glancing at Ryan.

"But you can't marry her, Dad."

"Ryan, you're too young to make that decision," Liam said.

I saw Mia smirking.

Seriously? She's grinning. She is having a good time.

This is why I refer to her as a bitch.

Ryan again objected, "Dad, I don't like her."

"Ryan, please stop bickering."

"How can you not see, Dad, that she is not nice? She is not good for you, and she behaves all false in front of you."

"Ryan, this is the last time I urge you just to stop," Liam was losing his cool. He was doing all he could to keep his temper under control.

"Ryan, the baby, let's go. I'll get you something to eat," I murmured, attempting to remove him before Liam lost his cool.

"No, Dad, she's just a b*tch."

Ryan, no!

"ENOUGH, RYAN," Liam yelled, and Ryan flinched.

When he yelled, I was terrified. Ryan's tears were streaming down his face.

My poor child.

"Liam," Liam's father said.

Liam was still enraged. Liam then kneeled in front of Ryan, holding his one arm forcefully and threateningly. Ryan was weeping and staring down.

"This is the last time you uttered that term, Ryan, and if I hear you are repeating it, you will face the worst, I promise."

Ryan nodded, still sobbing and gazing down.

"Use your words," Liam instructed sternly.

"Y-yes, Dad," Ryan answered quietly.

My child. I simply want to embrace him right now.

"Please apologize to Mia," Liam said.

Ryan remained silent and weeping.

"Liam, he's already sobbing; why are you acting like this?" Leah said.

"Yes, Liam let it go," Liam's father stated.

Ignoring them, Liam replied, his teeth gritted. "Don't put me to the test, Ryan; just apologize."

Ryan then turned to Mia and muttered, "I'm sorry, Miss White," before running upstairs to his room. Crying.

"Ryan!" I yelled, but he didn't respond.

I saw Liam gazing where Ryan had just gone, then Liam glanced at me. I ignored him and went upstairs with Ryan.
