Chapter 2 One Night Stand

JACKSON, ANNA

Now I just have one hope. I can ask Steve to help me locate work. Yes, he is the only one who can presently assist me. I'm sure you're wondering who Steve is. Well, Steve is my only friend.

"Nanny, I'll be home soon," I replied as I kissed her cheeks.

"What are you doing?" she inquired.

"To meet Steve; maybe he can help me get work."

"Why him? You're incapable of doing it yourself."

"Nanny," I said as I left the house.

Nanny dislikes Steve. She continuously accuses him of being a nasty man. I, on the other hand, usually tell her the opposite.

When I arrived at Steve's residence, I rang the doorbell. He pushed open the door.

"What are you doing here, Anna?" he inquired.

"Umm... Steve, I wanted to speak with you about something," I said.

"All OK... come inside."

I entered the room and sat on the sofa. He sat on the other couch.

"So, what were you hoping to discuss?"

"So, Steve here's the deal: I need a job."

"Job? But you had one, didn't you?"

Then I told him the whole tale. He paused for a moment before smirking.

What's with this guy's smirk?

I'm not feeling well, Anna. I believe you should just leave.

No way! How can I get out? I urgently need employment. I can't simply leave.

Steve then got up and sat down beside me. As in, very near to me. I shifted slightly in my seat. He then put one hand on my leg and began twisting a strand of my hair with the other.

"See, Anna, the point is, I have a job for you, which is ideal."

"But," I queried.

"But you know, everything in this world is not so simple; everything has a price," he smirked again.

"What price, Steve? What are you talking about?"

He then moved closer to me, holding my face in his palm.

"I've wanted you for so long, Anna. The first day I saw you, I wanted to take you right away. But when I talked to you, I saw that you weren't the kind of girl I could easily get. Then I saw your weak point. You never had any friends. So I thought, why not be your friend and take you. Anna, I promise you won't regret it. You'll love it. I'll make your first time special."

My pupils dilated. "What are you crazy? Steve, I've never thought about you in that manner," I said as I rose from the sofa. He, too, rose.

"But I do. You drive me insane, Anna, and it's just one night."

"Stay away from me," he said as he moved closer, and I moved backward until my back touched the wall. "Please stay away from me, Steve," I cried.

"Anna, hurry up."

"STAY AWAY!" I exclaimed.

I was going to flee when he grabbed my hand and pulled me back. My back collided with the solid wall.

"Please, Steve, let me go," I pleaded in front of him.

But he ignored me. He was going to kiss me when I saw the bit of his sun that wasn't shining.

I opened the door and raced out of there as he moaned in agony. From behind me, I heard him yell my name. I continued to run and run.

Why is everything occurring all at once?

First, I was laid off.

Then there was that letter.

And now for Steve.

He was my sole buddy, but he was also a friend.

This world is full of cruel people.

------------------------------

I'm sitting at a club, sipping one drink after another.

I believe I am already inebriated.

"What should I do? I'm at a loss for words; why is my life so messed up?"

I burst out laughing like a fool.

"Hey, are you all right?" the bartender inquired.

Still giggling, I nodded. "I am sooooo fine!"

"Oh, I suppose you're depressed."

"You think," I laughed loudly again. "My life is a freaking shambles."

"Hey, listen, I can assist you to relieve that tension, and the pleasure is just for one night."

"What do you mean, thaaatttt?"

He then grabbed a drink and mixed something into it.

"Take this," he said, handing it to me.

"What exactly is this?"

"Umm... see, you wanted peace and pleasure for one night, and you'll have it. Just walk to that area and enter room number 119, okay? You'll like it, believe me."

"YES!" I shouted. I need to have some fun.

I was going to take the drink when a hand grabbed it from me. When I turned to look at the moron who did that, I saw a guy seated near me with a glass of wine.

"Are you insane? She's inebriated; you can't send her there." I scrutinized his expression.

He wasn't just any ordinary dude. He was a flawless sculpture. His eyes were sea blue, and his lips were slender and pink, with a lovely jawline. Said, this dude was excellent. Any girl's fantasy.

He then looked at me from head to toe and said, "Listen, I'm not sure what your issue is, but this place isn't safe for you; you're intoxicated, so just go home."

"NO! I don't want to go home. I want to go there," I responded, pointing to the location where the bartender had previously indicated.

"No, you're not going there because it's unsafe."

"I'm going there."

"Stop being obstinate. You are a stranger to me, and yet I am warning you; can't you see that there must be a reason for me to do that?"

"But he's also a stranger," I pointed out to the bartender. "To whom should I then listen?"

"Me. You're not going there," he replied firmly.

"Who are you? My Daddy? You are nobody, so why should I listen to you?"

I rose from my stool. I stumbled backward a bit. He immediately grabbed my arm, keeping me from falling.

"You can't even stand correctly, yet you want to have fun, the enjoyment you have no idea about."

"Where do you live? I'll drop you," he asked as he jumped up from his seat.

"Why should I tell you? You're a stranger, and Nanny warned me not to tell anybody." I pouted, crossing my arms. "What if you're a jerk?"

"I'm attempting to assist you, and you're labeling me a nasty guy."

"I'm not sure whether you're trying to assist me or not."

"What the-" he came to a halt and ran his hand through his hair once before whispering something that I heard since my hearing is quite acute, "I can't leave you here with these guys. They'll eat you up."

"What does it mean?" I said, raising my brows.

"Nothing, you're not going with me," he responded angrily.

"How come I should?"

"You will since I am attempting to assist you."

I pouted, creating the expression, 'How would I know that?'

"Don't put me to the test; simply come with me."

'No,' I said, shaking my head.

"All right, don't blame me."

"Blame you. Blame you for what?" I said, perplexed.

"For this," he grinned.

He scooped me up and flung me over his shoulder in seconds.

"Hey, let me down, and what are you doing?" I yelled.

"I warned you, but you ignored me."

I continued stroking his back, but he was so powerful that I damaged my hands a few times.

He then placed me in a vehicle, strapped my seatbelt, sat in the driver's seat, and began driving.

Wait. Is he abducting me?

"HELP! HELP! KIDNAPPER! HE IS KIDNAPPING ME!" I began hammering on the window.

"Will you quiet up? I'm not kidnapping you; now tell me where you live."

I sat back, my arms crossed over my chest. "No."

"Please tell me whether you want to go home."

What if, when we arrive, he kills Nanny and me and steals all we own? Perhaps these automobiles and clothing were taken from someone. I can't put my confidence in him, and I can't let Nanny suffer. I'm not so drunk to not be concerned for Nanny's safety.

"I'm not sure."

"What?" he said, perplexed.

"I'm not sure."

"All OK then."

I sat there, ready to go anywhere he wanted me to go. My head hurt like hell. When the automobile eventually came to a halt, I peeked outside and saw a home. It wasn't just any home; it was a mansion.

"Come," he urged as he got out of the automobile. I remained seated inside without moving. He waited for me outside, but when I didn't appear, he came in and opened the door. "Come out right now."

My head trembled. "No way, you're a kidnapper.

"Looking at the home, you still assume I'm a kidnapper." I took another cautious look around the place.

"No, still no."

"Fine," he murmured, tossing me over his shoulder and carrying me inside.

"HELP! HELP! KIDNAP! KIDNAP! "

But he continued going with me over his shoulder until we came to a halt in front of a door, which he unlocked while I was still screaming, and brought me into a room and lay me on a bed.

"Lay down and sleep here. Don't put me to the test. I don't want everyone to wake up as a result of your yelling, "

"I'm not going to sleep here. I'm ready to go home."

"I offered it many times, but you were preoccupied with your silly notions. So you remain right here."

"NO.NO.NO. HOME. "And why is it so hot here?" I moaned, still ranting. It's pretty hot. "I began fanning myself with my hands, then opened and flung my shrug, and as I unlocked a few buttons on my top, he quickly grabbed my hand and stopped me.

"What exactly are you doing? Stop doing it."

"But it's unbearably hot in here."

"I'll simply turn on the air conditioning. Everything will be OK. "Now sleep," he whispered as he was ready to depart, and I nodded.

I grabbed his hand and yanked him, and he crashed on top of me.

-----------------------------

When the sunshine struck my face, I yawned, still with closed eyelids, savoring this cool and comfortable sensation, and the memories of the previous night rushed through my head. My eyes sprang open, and I sat on the bed.

"Oh my God! Shit! Shit! What have I done, and did we do it after removing him? No way, no how. Why can't I recall anything? "I gripped my head, it hurt so much, and glanced about the room before settling on my shrug, lying on the floor; I looked down at my clothing; they were not my clothes.

"Fuck, how the hell did my shrug get there and these clothes? It's a guy's shirt."

Please assure me that I did not do it.

"Please, no. How can I risk losing my virginity to a stranger? "

I did not do that. No way, no how.
