"Maybe she's downstairs having breakfast," he concluded and rambled downstairs.
The servants were working effortlessly doing their various assigned work. Some cleaning the mansion, the cook busy in the kitchen and the bodyguards stood at their usual spot.
"Good morning Young Master," Kira's Nanny greeted immediately seeing Derek! Her head bow slightly.
Derek is usually addressed as young master by the servants and his father Mr Watson. Mr Watson and Mrs Watson are out of the City. They went on vacation at the moment.
"Morning! Is Kira downstairs," Derek asked and Nanny raised her eyebrows.
"No! She had refused to talk to me or anyone else since yesterday," sha paused and scanned Derek's expression and then continue. " I went to her room but she didn't budge nor open the door.
Derek was alarmed immediately. He cherished his daughter so much as she always remind him of the lady he was infatuated with and couldn't get his mind off her.
" You mean my daughter refused to come downstairs since yesterday and you never think of telling me? Derek asked and nanny looked down on her foot unable to meet his gaze. She knew she was wrong! she would've told him. he's Kira's father after all.
Dammit! Derek ruffled his hair with his hand nervously. How could he have not noticed perhaps he was busy all night.
He rush straight to Kira's room. He knock on the door time and again but no response.
"What have i done to have ignore my daughter," Derek huffed and knock on the door again.
"Daddy's little princess please open the door it's Daddy".
"No! go away. I don't want to talk to you," Kira's little voice muffled from inside.
Derek sighed softly hearing her voice. That's a relief, at least she's alright.
"Open the door princess! Wanna go shopping after school?" Derek asked his voice filled with hopes.
Instantly, Derek heard the door cracked and he pushed it open.
Kira went back to her bed and flopped on it as Derek entered.
"Are you alright, princess?
Kira folded her arms and turned away letting her gaze fell on the sliding window.
"I don't want to talk to you.
"Did Daddy did something wrong?" Derek asked and sat on her bed.
"Lady violent is back. you're not gonna marry her right?
Derek sighed softly. "No! I won't marry her. I promise," he assure her.
Kira quickly faced her Dad. " pinky promise?" She pouted intertwining her pinky finger together with Derek's.
"Hmmm! Pinky promise," Derek hummed and said. " Now come here Daddy is gonna bath you and then we go downstairs to have breakfast," Derek added.
As if realising something, Kira paused tapping her finger along her chin. "No! I'm not having breakfast with you," she shook her head negatively.
Knowing what she was thinking, Derek drew his daughter close to himself. "Worry no more, she's not gonna have breakfast with use. She already left this morning," Derek said and Kira beamed.

Olivia hummed a soft song as she make breakfast for herself. She had a smile plastered on her face.
She was savouring the meal delicious aroma that filled her nostrils when her phone rang. She wiped her hands with the kitchen hand towel before checking the caller's ID.
Dad?
Olivia was surprised!
"Why is Dad calling me?" He doesn't know or care if i existed," Olivia murmured and rolled her eyes as she connected the call.
"Olivia dear! I heard you're back to City N recently? Why haven't you come to the company so i could offer you a job? Isn't that nice?" Mr Edem said. He was so convincing and sounded sincere that Olivia sneered inwardly.
"What's Dad up to? She thought.
Her Dad never cared her about her. Why now offer to give her a job in the company.
"No Dad! You don't have to worry. I don't need a job," Olivia replied casually.
Mr Edem was silent for a moment, searching for words, then as if he got an idea he said " How about i offer you a share if you come work with us.
Olivia was taken aback! Her dad want to offer her a share in the company! Something is definitely not right.
Olivia blinked her eyes severally and wiped her ears as if she heard wrongly.
She found it amusing that she almost laugh out loud. She knew her Dad must have ulterior motive. She decided to play along.
"How many shares do i get if i come work in your company?
"More than your sister's," Mr Edem said and tightened his Jaw on the other end.
Olivia smile lowly. Her Dad is sure up to something not good for him to have offered to give her a share more than her sister's.
"More than Mom's," Olivia negotiated and Mr Edem gasped.
"Now that's too much sweetheart," Mr Edem said, his voice laced with hatred for Olivia.
"No Dad! more than Mom's," she rolled her eyes holding her laughter. Her Dad hasn't changed or has he?
"more than Mom's, take it or leave it," Olivia added later.
Mr Edem was quiet for a while. He never expected that. His daughter he knew years back was naive and would accept anything he said to her.
"Okay fine," He said and Olivia almost chucked.
"What ever Dad is planning is sure not and i have to find out," she thought and said
"Forget it Dad! I'm not interested," Olivia chuckled and hung up the phone.
Meanwhile, Mr Edem was furious at Olivia for hanging up the call that he almost smashed his phone.
Dammit! He ran his hand through his hair. "How dare she hang up on me?" He growled.
"Dad, it's fine. So what if she said no, we'll find another way to get back at her," Nick said as she poured her Dad a cup of coffee to calm his temper down.
"So? She said no and you let her go just like that," Mrs Edem emerged from the door. She took the cup of coffee and smashed it on the floor. "You have to do something and it has to be fast," she added and Mr Edem sigh in disappointment.
