Chapter 4 EVERYONE IS QUIET

Nelson notices the awkwardness between Anne and her aunt. "Shane, this is my wife. Her name is Anne."

"Yes. I knew. Rosie told me everything. It turned out to be true." Mrs. Shane replied to Nelson arrogantly. Her eyes stared intently at Anne. That gaze made Anne keep her head down. She really didn't dare to look around. Her mentally suddenly down.

"What did Rosie tell you?" asked Nelson curiously. One eyebrow raised.

"She said that you married a girl from the lowest economy class. It turned out that after meeting her, she was like a maid!" Mrs. Shane insulted Anne's appearance.

Anne's heart seemed to stop at what Mrs. Shane had to say. The girl still lowered her head. Not daring to respond to anything.

However, Nelson denies his Aunt's words for the sake of his reputation. "Rosie doesn't know anything. Don't listen to her!"

Mrs. Shane was silent. She folded her arms over her chest. Her haughty face was very clear.

"Has our new toy arrived yet?" Rane asked. The blue eyed girl asked her mother while glancing sarcastically at Anne. She had also heard from Rosie about Anne.

"All right. Don't worry. We'll play it later in there," replied Mrs. Shane.

They had planned something surprising game for Anne. Of course it aims to make Anne uncomfortable being the wife of a Nelson who is the only grandson of the Watson family.

Rana, the brown eyed girl replied no less arrogantly. "I can't wait to play with our new toy."

Nelson and Anne certainly didn't understand what the three of them were saying. They continued to walking into the Watson family's large meeting room.

As soon as the door opened, happy cheers from the family could be heard welcoming Nelson, who had not been attending this routine meeting for a long time.

"We welcome the newlyweds!" shouted Uncle Gerald with a big smile. This was followed by cheers of joy from the others.

Nelson smiled happily. He didn't expect that his family would treat him this special after he got married. The man walked to the center of the podium to thank him profusely for this special reception. He also introduced Anne as his wife.

"Introducing my wife. Her name is Anneliese. I hope you all can receive it well," said Nelson, still smiling.

"Introduce your wife in great details. Including her family background. We are very curious what level she comes from a rich family." Mrs. Shane suddenly said like that. It make all the families there look at each other.

"That's right, Nelson. It is the custom of the Watson family to get to know each other," said Uncle Gerald in support of his brother's words.

"Isn't that right, Mom?" asked the man named Gerald to an old woman who was sitting in a luxurious chair.

Mrs. Watson nodded her head and smiled because at last her beloved grandson had found a soul mate, according to a request from her first son, Ramos.

Nelson is a little awkward. It was this kind of thing that he hated when the Watson family got together and talked about wealth. One thing that should not be left to discuss.

Nelson began to hold the loudspeaker to his mouth. While Anne could only look down and stand next to her husband. She was really very embarrassed and felt awkward. Because now all eyes are on her. She did not expect that the Watson family gathering would be this grand.

Mrs. Watson rose from her seat. Her face growled. "My grandson, why did you marry a girl who didn't come from a rich family?"

Nelson replied to his grandmother's words. "Grandma, can we change the Watson family's tradition of always putting wealth first? How are we different from the lower classes? We are same. We are all human."

In the left corner, a woman who is pregnant also answers to corner her cousin. "Nelson, you say that of course because your wife is from a lowly family." She is Griya, the first daughter of Uncle Gerald. The cousin who doesn't like Nelson. Griya is very jealous because all this time, Watson's only proud grandson is Nelson.
