Chapter 6 6

"My son! Oh no my son!"Dae Jung can hear his mom's voice from a distance. He tried opening his eyes but he couldn't,tried moving but he can't,his body wasn't responding to him at all.

"Doctor are you sure nothing serious happened to him?"he heard his mom's voice again clothed with sobs

"He will be fine mom,the doctor have repeated this over and over again"Dae Jung could hear his elder brother speak

"Don't worry Mrs Kim,he's stable and he will open his eyes very soon"Dae Jung heard an unfamiliar voice and guess it must be the doctor

" I have to go now,the western girl who got involved in the accident is in a complete state of shock and I have to attend to her"

"Can I see her?"Dae Jung heard his mother ask

"Yes you can,if you can help me make her speak I will be glad,she haven't said a word since she became conscious"Dae Jung heard the doctor said,and suddenly he could hear their footsteps moving away before the door was closed

After the explosion of the car and seeing the driver and my aunt I knew few days ago got burnt into ashes traumatized me,this was not what I'm expecting,I never got to know where she lives,I have no one here or a cell phone to make any contact with, my box burned into ashes with all my clothes inside and Elena's contact I promised to reach her with when I reach Korea and finally settle down I was rushed to the hospital after the explosion,I couldn't scream,I couldn't even do anything or move a finger, seeing my aunt burning into ashes, the first woman giving me some hopes after the death of my mom was do traumatizing,it's not something you see everyday and it's not something I wish anyone should see.

The doctor checked my vitals asking me questions and I couldn't even answer,I thought I was going to feel pain,anger or sad but I'm just numb,it feels like I don't even exist anymore. The doctors and nurses have tried several times to get me talking but they couldn't,I wasn't purposely ignoring them,I can't talk, my mouth have refuse to open since I shouted when the car exploded and I close it back,the mouth decided not to open again.

I was quietly sitting down in the hospital lobby looking at everyone walking around, I even saw some smiled with their family members and a painful act of jealousy hits me,I always loose people that loves me or show they care about me, maybe I'm not made to be happy.

Suddenly I heard footsteps approaching me and I look up to see the same doctor trying to force words out of my mouth,an older looking woman and a young man beside her,they were walking towards me and I wondered why,they halted their steps in front of me and I look away.

"Do you want to talk to me now?"the doctor asked and I didn't even spare him a look,he's starting to piss me off, he should know I'm not even in a state to talk,he's the first person conversing with me using English,even the nurse that attended to me spoke English too though she wasn't really good at it

"Leave the little girl with me"the older woman said and I look up to access her well,she's a very beautiful Asian woman and from her face alone it shows how she must have captivated a lot of men in her younger days,she's petite and slim,and she looks like someone who's into fashion just by seeing the beautiful dress on her,she actually use English and the way it sounded,it seems she's good at it

"Okay Mrs Kim"the doctor said and Mrs Kim gave the doctor a curt nod.

April didn't understand what the doctor said because he replied Mrs Kim with Korea,after the short reply the doctor look at April one last time before leaving

"You should go and stay with your brother"Mrs Kim said in Korea turning to look at her son. Dae Hyun nodded glancing at April before leaving.

"Okay mom"he replied before walking away

Mrs Kim sat down beside me and I look away,I wasn't ready for this and I don't even know why she's here. After several moments of silence she finally speaks

"Hello"she said and I look away.

She sighed and everywhere went silent again,I thought she was gone and I turn to see her looking at me

"I know it's not easy for you,for whatever happened to you, but you need to talk so that we can help you,where do you live girl?"she asked in English,her English is so smooth and sounds like someone who have lived in the western land for a long period of time.I suddenly remembered that I don't even have a place to stay overnight,I know nobody and nothing about this place,it's just as moving from planet earth to live in Mars. A tear slide down my face immediately,I am doomed, this is the worst thing that have ever happened to me

"Stop crying and please let me help you"Mrs Kim said and I slowly opened my mouth,well seems like my mouth finally knows that we are in danger and decided to open up,I couldn't even form a comprehensive words and I bursted into tears I cried my lungs out and Mrs Kim didn't stopped me from crying,she let me cry and I couldn't be more grateful,after what felt like eternity I got tired of crying and just gently placed my head on the wall closing my eyes,I'm so tired,frustrated and hungry all at the same time

"My aunt died" I suddenly say swallowing the growing lumps in my neck,Mrs Kim turn her attention on me immediately

"she came to America to pick me,we just got off the air port on our way going to her apartment where she lives,the accident occurred and she was burnt to ashes" I say and I couldn't control my emotions any longer,I hiccups sobbing,my hands were busy shaking uncontrollably

"This is bad"Mrs Kim said after watching me for awhile

"do you have any family members you can call?"she asked and I shook my head no

"Never had a phone so I can't reach anyone and my aunts phone burned with her,I'm stranded, even if I get my hands on any phone right now,I have no one to call,there's no contact for me to dial"I said and I can see myself shivering,Mrs Kim noticed too

"Let's get you something to eat"Mrs Kim said and I nodded following her when she stood up walking out of the hospital.
