Chapter 9 8. He is weird.

CARA

"He is married?" I asked about the new recently found information and his brother is what I assume nodded.

"He was married. His wife died while giving birth to Lily. That's why he is sensitive over both things. It was an arranged marriage but you know life always does not go the way we want. He fell in love and things turned out this way. But he doesn't understand that Lily is just a child. And she needs someone to love and protect her. Someone like her mother. " He said to me As I nodded. Losing your parents is a tragedy one can never overcome.

The support system, the wall, the core, and everything in life just disappears. As well as the pink world turns black. I have felt it all on the same day. And for her, she is just a child.

But wait who is this man?

"Who are you?" Before he can even hear my whole question. CEO came and punched the guy. And took it from his collar and started to drag him somewhere.

What is wrong with him??

But before leaving entirely he turned and looked at me with a very angry look and then locked the door leaving me all alone.

Why is he so cruel and Impolite?

I was left alone in a room with my thoughts.

It was already evening and there was nothing in the room. While I have been pondering over all the things I know I should be reading or thinking about. Every minute they were just making me miserable. I stood and went towards the television and took the remote of the TV and turned it on, so it can distract me. And here and there kept revolving on the channels. Many things were airing but I was not interested in any of them. After a while, of dragging, I finally stopped at the news.

And looking at the face I didn't want to ever look at after that incident years ago. That ruined my family. That man was the sole reason for all my miseries. And probably why my brother turned into whatnot.

But I trust him. He was just behaving that way so that he can hurt me. He is not a bad man. He wants me to get hurt so I will stay I forgive him. That's his only way. I guess

Isn't it?

Maybe.

This is the conclusion I came back to after a brief while of thinking from yesterday.

The face on the television made me shiver. As he was reaching an award for doing some great work for charity.

Charity? He was selling women yesterday.

He? How come people can't differentiate between monsters and humans.

He is a pure evil I hate and will forever do.

The door of my room shooed open as Greyson came walking. His hand was occupied with a tray. He looked at me and then at the TV. And his eyes stop stopped on them for a while.

He knows him too.

But he came back to his senses and kept the tray on the table and went to tv and removed the wire from the socket and lit his lighter from his pocket and started to burn the wire.

What the hell is he doing?

What the fuck?

"If you are going to watch useless things. You shouldn't watch them at all." He said and once again started to leave. The food. Eat it." He said. And I realized how hungry I was. I haven't eaten for so loI that now from starvation my body was low and felt like falling.

Why did he bring it himself? "Don't get involved with any single person in this family. I hate when people intrude. Only if I wasn't responsible for dragging you into this mess. I wouldn't have cared that your brother has tied you in the house." He muttered to me, but I was just so hungry and staring at the food right now. I don't care what he says. He just left right after.

I stood and walked towards the tray and picked up the sandwich he left for me.

It doesn't taste bad.

I eat it all in one go and took another piece and ate it all too.

"Can I come in?" A voice came from outside. I nodded and then realized that the person can't see me.

And the woman in her 60s came walking. She smiled at me while eating and sat on my bed. And looked at me.

"So what happened?" She asked me why am I there.

I don't know either.

"It just turned out that way. I can't tell you anything." I said and she nodded.

"You know he might seem rude and bad guy. But he has nothing bad in his heart for others. It's just he is suffering inside because of what happened years ago. His wife died. And Lily is just five years old. What can we expect from him."

Why does everyone in his family keep trying to justify things to me? I am not sure how to respond to her. She was very much in pain.

I can sense it in her.

She stood and swipe her tears that rolled down from her eyes and came back to sit beside me.

" What is your name?" She asked. Again smiling or to say trying to smile now.

"Cara."

"Such a pretty name." She asked me and I nodded and realized.

"Ms Luis, I think you should leave. If Greyson will find you here he will make a huge deal!" I instantly warned her and she laughed. At this.

Really? Laughing at this?

"Don't worry he is outside." She said to me as I nodded in relief in.

"Don't you feel something with Lily?"
