"I don't know , I didn't allow him to talk to me. He is a bad person. He even bought me a doll so he could talk to me." She said.
"Really?" Grace asked in amusement.
"Yes, but I threw it away and told him to leave me alone." She said and we both laughed.
"Your sister is one tough girl." Grace said to me.
"But what does he want from you? I hope he doesn't try anything foolish." I said.
"That was why I ran from him." Daisy said.
"Why don't you just find out what he wants." Grace said and I thought about it.
"Yes Daisy, find out what he wants." I said.
"Okay, but I'll punch his face if he tries to hurt me." Daisy said and we laughed.
"You can beat him up too if he tries to hurt you." Grace said and I laugh.
"I'll be going to school on Monday, so you don't need to worry. I won't let him hurt you." I said.
"Ok, help me with my homework quickly. Mum said if I hurry up, I can join her to the mall." Daisy said and I explained it to her. She did it and ran out of the room.
"But seriously, why does he want to talk to Daisy?" Grace asked.
"I don't know." I said.
"Seems he has a crush on you." She teased.
"What? Stop that joke ok? I hate that guy." I said in disgust.
"Ok, I've heard you, but what if I'm right?" She asked smiling naughtily.
"Grace, Jeremy hates my guts as much as I hate his, so that's impossible. Besides, I have my books to focus on. I really don't want to let my parents down." I said and she sighed.
"Okay, I've heard." She said .
"So tell me about your parents and everything." I said, changing the topic.
~NEXT DAY~~
JEREMY'S P.O.V
I went to school and walked to my locker. Violet walked up to me.
"Good morning J." She said and gave me a peck. She was full of smiles.
"Good morning, what's up with you today?" I asked and she smiled more.
"Well, today is the 1st of February." She squealed, grinning from ear to ear. I tried to get what she was trying to say but I couldn't.
"Annnd..." I trailed off and she frowned.
"It's my birth month, silly." She said and hit me lightly.
"Oh, I'm so sorry Vi, I almost forgot." I said and shut my locker. She was still frowning. "I said I'm sorry." I said and she brushed her hair to the back of her ears. She rolled her eyes.
"Fine, but if you forget the date I'm gonna kill you." She said and I chuckled.
"I won't, it's 6th right?" I said.
"Yeah, don't forget it and my mum is throwing a party for me." She said.
"As usual." I said.
"And you're..."
"I know, I know, I'm buying the birthday cake. I know the drill." I said.
"Yeah, it's nice you remembered... well I have to head to the principal's office right now." She said and I sighed.
"What did you do this time?" I asked.
"I insulted a teacher. I mean, she wore rags to school. Like, who is she going to teach wearing that?" She ranted and I swayed my head.
"Certainly not you." I said.
"Exactly! See you later boo." She said and walked away sassily swaying her short flare skirt. She's a regular figure at the principal's office.
I was about to go when I saw Daisy in the hallway. Who was she looking for? Has Kyla come to school? Our eyes met and she walked to me. She stood in front of me and folded her hands.
"Daisy." I called like a question.
"I've come to hear what you wanted to ask me. You better be quick about it before I change my mind." She said and leaned on my locker. I couldn't help but chuckle. I squatted to her level.
"Thank you for..." She interrupted me.
"Straight to the point." She said and looked away. I chuckled again.
"Ok, boss lady... I wanted to ask you about Kyla." I said and she looked at me.
"What about Kyla?" She asked.
"How is she doing? Why isn't she coming to school? Has she been transferred to another school?" I asked all at once.
"Hey, I'm just serven. Too much questions." She said and I smiled.
"Okay, I'm sorry. One at a time." I said.
"Well Kyla is doing okay and her legs are healed of the injury she sustained because of you. She can walk now. She will be coming to school on Monday. Is that all?" She explained perfectly. I was forced to ask.
"Are you really seven years old?" I asked.
"No, I'm twenty years old." She said and stepped on my foot and ran away.
"Ouch." I groaned. Was this her way of paying me back for hurting her sister? I couldn't help but laugh. I stood up and walked towards the class. She really amazes me. She's a boss lady. Ha-ha. But I'm happy to hear that Kyla was okay and will come to school on Monday. I really don't know why I'm happy about it. I smiled to the class and sat on my seat.
"Why the smiles?" Mitchell asked.
"Nothing." I said.
"Okay." H replied, going back to what he was doing on his phone.
KYLA'S P.O.V
I couldn't wait for Daisy to get home. I was so curious to know what Jeremy had to say. I walked downstairs with a novel in my hand. Mum wasn't at home, it was just me and the house helps. I sat on a sofa in the living room and continue reading my novel.
"Young madam, is there anything you would want me to get for you?" One of the house helps asked.
"No thanks, I'm ok." I said and she left.
I heard a car driving in. I knew Daisy had arrived. Soon the door burst open revealing a running Daisy. She stopped as she saw me. She ran to me and embraced me.
"Daisy, I told you to stop running when you are inside. You might slip." I said brushing her hair with my fingers.
"Sorry about that." She said and dropped her things on the floor.
"Not here Daisy, take them to your room and shower up." I said and she sighed exhaustedly. She dragged her school bag along the ground as she went to her room. I smiled as she walked lazily upstairs. I told the chef to prepare something for her to eat.
She walked downstairs after freshening up and putting on nice clothes. I noticed how chubby Daisy had become. It was an evidence of good living. It's nice having a parents, and more so, wealthy ones. She walked to me and jumped on my thighs, even if there were other sofa.
"Daisy." I groaned.
"I'm hungry." She whined. I carried her up to the dining table. She sat down. "Feed me." She cried.
"Why are you behaving like a baby today?" I asked.
"Because I'm a baby and if you don't feed me I won't tell you what Jeremy said." She said and my eyes widened, but I controlled myself.
"Okay, fine. Open up." I said and fed her. She ate a lot. "Are you okay now?" I asked after she had finished eating, she nodded. I gave her the juice and she drank it.
"Water." She said and I gave it to her. We walked to the living room. She insisted I carry her on my thighs. I had no option than to do it.
"Can you tell me what Jeremy told you?" I asked and she yawned. She was feeling sleepy.
"He asked about you." She said and leaned on my chest, scratching her eyes and yawned again.
"Me?" I asked.
"Yes. He asked if you were fine. He also asked why you weren't coming to school. I told him..." She yawned. ".. I told him you will go to school on Monday." She said.
"And what did he say?" I asked. She scratched her eyes.
"I did not allow him to speak.. I..I stepped on his foot and ran away." She was already dozing off. She stepped on his foot? I wonder how he took it. But..he asked about me. Why? I noticed that I was smiling. I quickly dismissed the smile. I carried Daisy to her room.
