Chapter 4 I Heard That Bitch Traveled To Italy.

The waiter brimmed their table with liquor and wine, which he knows are their favorite. Tyler wriggled his cigarette out from his pocket, Bryan was sipping his drink so naturally and gently. As a noble, you would expect him to be living carefreely and like all the other playboy, but Bryan was the opposite.

He does things intentionally; that's why he doesn't smoke like his friends. Sometimes, Tyler would tease him, saying, 'I get it, your girlfriend refrained you from smoking. That's the reason I can never have a girlfriend. Those creatures are so demanding'. Tyler loves flirting with different girls. Sticking to one partner is never an option for him. He sees it as being caged. Hence, the tease.

"So, when will you be leaving, Lindsay?" Bryan asked while gulping his drink. Lindsay exhaled, kept the bottle he was holding firmly on the table, and said," in two weeks. You know, I need to think of good accommodation and a place to apply for a job". Tyler and Bryan nodded at Lindsay's words. A short period of silence broke out among them. Everyone's mind was brimming with thoughts. Now they are graduates; it's expected of them to have something tangible they earn a living with.

Bryan's father has always pleaded with him to join him and run his company. Mr. Tan, owns one of the biggest oil companies in Singapore. So, they are the major supplier of oil the government has. Even the government of other neighboring countries partner with Mr. Tan as their major oil supplier.

Only a few people know that Bryan Tan is the son of Mr. Tan. Even Zeta is not aware of Bryan's identity. She had always thought he only gets money from blogging. Bryan's passion for blogging refrains him from joining his dad in running their business. He believes that if he eventually joins his father's business, his blogging life will be on hold.

Tyler looked at the entrance and suddenly gasped in surprise; he tapped on Lindsay and Bryan and signaled them to look at the entrance. "Isn't that Gretia and Sophia? Damn! These two girls are really the talk of the town". Tyler bit his lower lip and narrowed his eyes at the two girls entering the bar.

Gretia and Sophia dressed slutty. One of their ways of attracting men. However, they were Zeta coursemates at Curtin university. Gretia, who was interested in Bryan, always looked for ways to lure Bryan to her bait. She did all she could to tamper with Zeta's relationship with Bryan by harassing Zeta.

All her attempts back at Curtin university were futile until they graduated. But who knows what her reaction would be when she spots Bryan and his friends.

"They look hot. So sad that Bryan doesn't want to capitalize on the opportunity given to him."

Lindsay scrunched his brows as if he was annoyed with Bryan.

The ladies darted their eyes around the bar, and Gretia quickly spotted Bryan. "Oh my, fate keeps bringing us together." Greta's lips curled up into a complacent smile. Sophia, who was standing beside her, heard what she muttered and asked," who are you referring to, Gretia?"

Gretia ignored Sophia's question, so Sophia had no other option than to follow her gaze and see who she was throwing daggering gazes at. Insight, Sophia spotted Bryan and his friends. Her eyes lit up with excitement; she pinched Gretia and suggested," let's go and say hi."

Greta nodded and followed her friend's advice. They approached Bryan's table, and with a smug look on her face, Gretia patted Bryan's shoulder, saying, "you keep avoiding me, but fate keeps bringing us together. Bryan, my love, how have you been since our graduation? I heard that bitch traveled to Italy."

A twinge of annoyance and loathe flashed through Bryan's heart. Why is this slut calling Zeta a bitch? Bryan swiftly took Gretia's hands off his shoulders. He arched his brow and said with a cold tone to Gretia, "I won't condone you calling Zeta abusive names. Have I not told you to avoid me?"

Gretia smiled scornfully, wrinkled her face, bent forward towards Bryan's ears, and said," I have tried to stay away, but who could have thought I would meet you here? Moreover, you can't stop me from using any word I like". She lifted her hands again and caressed Bryan's face, "cute. I have been meaning to ask; I thought you engaged that bitch so why did she leave you and flee to Italy?"

Bryan was entirely disgusted by her actions; he scrunched his face and glared at Gretia with his dark eyes," it has nothing to do with you. So stop being nosy." Bryan lifted his drink and took a sip ignoring Gretia actions.

"I won't stop being nosy because I love you. But you are literally blind to see that. Anyways, don't let yourself be fooled. I have a feeling that your so-called Zeta will leave you for another. Jeez, that bitch can't be trusted, you know."

Bryan tried to ignore her words, but inside of him, he thought what Gretia said could hold some ounce of truth. What if it really happens? 'She really can't do that. But if she does, then I have to shatter her plans. Zeta won't leave me for another. Period.' His mind was spiraling with thoughts, and he swore in his heart that if Zeta did leave him. She would pay.

Gretia and Sophia sauntered to the counter to have some drinks leaving Bryan and his friends behind. While they were retreating from their presence, Tyler licked his lips seductively and gawked at the two ladies' exposed bodies. "I want to have these girls, especially Gretia." He unknowingly spat.

Bryan gave him a dead stare and scoffed, "you can have them. Who cares."

"Bryan, what if what Gretia said happens. I mean, what will you do?" Lindsay asked.

Bryan's mind flashed back to what Gretia said a few minutes ago: ' I feel your so-called Zeta will leave you for another. "No." Bryan roared. "Zeta and I are crazy about each other. She can't leave for another dude." He said confidently.

Lindsay pinched his jaw thoughtfully and said, "at this point, you are not together. You never can tell if she will change her mind now she's in Italy. Besides, how do you plan to live together? Is she going to migrate to Singapore, or will you migrate to Italy?"

Bryan huffed. Frank speaking, he has never thought about this for once. But with this question, Lindsay asked, he's definitely going to discuss this with Zeta tonight. "I haven't really thought about it. Zeta and I will discuss about it." He said with a deep hoarse voice. Weird thoughts and feelings have been stirred inside of him. Thus, the once happiness he felt is now in ruin.

They enjoyed their cocktail for some time, and as the sky kept getting darker, Bryan opted to go home.

When he arrived, Bryan looked at the phone that hasn't responded any messages all night, dialed Zeta's number through WeChat without any hesitation. "My angel" was the name that appeared on his screen.

Zeta, who was in a trance, shuddered when her phone vibrated. "Mine" popped on the screen. Seeing that name and knowing who was calling made Zeta's heart creep to her stomach. Her body turned frigid. She swallowed the lump in her throat, cleared her eyes, picked the call and turned on the camera.

"Hey babe, what's up?" She said, trying to conceal the fear on her face. From the other end, Bryan felt really excited that she picked up, but he didn't want to show it. He squinted his eyes and asked, "why do you look so dull. Your cheeks are red?"

'Now, this is the man I know; no matter how I try to conceal my feelings, Bryan will still find out. She thought. A smile crept on her lips," it's night now, and I was sleeping when you called."

Bryan pinched his cheeks and revealed his dentition on the screen, "yeah, I was worried just now. Maybe it's because I'm already missing you here".

Zeta revealed a wry smile on her face. Her father's words riveted in her mind,'I have crossed the Rubicon, and that's final.' Just remembering the cold words of her father scared the life out of Zeta. But she was intentional enough not to expose her worries to Bryan. She's certain that Bryan would step on a rampage. He might even fly to Italy the following day without hesitation.

But will coming to Italy right off the bat make her father change his mind? No, Zeta knows her father too well. It won't make him retract his words as far as it's a business contract.

Zeta wore a facade and replied, "I miss you so much too. It feels like have parted for over two years, but it was literally yesterday.

Bryan's heart was a dunk in a whirlpool of emotions; Zeta's words always stir his mind and soul. He blinked and said,"I guess it's high time we get married then. Let's wed my angel?" Hearing these words spinning from Bryan's mouth sent shivers down Zeta's spine. No, she didn't say that to make him rush the wedding. She still needs time to think things through. She needs to reveal the truth to him but not now. Bryan will step on a rampage. This is the guy she has been with for over six years.

Zeta blinked; her heart was thumping crazily; she smiled without revealing her dentition and spat," come on, babe, we shouldn't rush things now. I still need to tell my father. But I haven't had time to he's a busy man. But don't worry, I will let you know once we have discussed about it, okay?"

Bryan felt a little disappointed. He was expecting Zeta to tell him she had discussed it with her father. Anyways, he shoved his thoughts aside and asked, "babe, I want to ask, will you migrate to Singapore once we marry, or should I migrate to Italy?"

Zeta was becoming uncomfortable with their discussion; this is adding more worries to the one she was thinking; however, she still needs to pretend, "babe, I think we should leave this when I discuss it with my dad first. Then we can decide who will migrate."

"Okay, love". Bryan nodded and agreed to her words. He just wanna make sure that Zeta haven't changed her mind.

The moment Zeta's screen turned black, she heaved a sigh of relief. At least Bryan is not suspicious of her behavior. Although she felt relieved a little, her mind sparked with thoughts and questions about what to do next. From thinking, Zeta dozed off.

Bryan, from his end, equally felt relieved: "At least here had an echo, hopefully her father will respect her daughter's choice, even if I haven't told her yet how rich my family is. " he patted his chest, even made a little research about the next tourist destination before retiring to bed.
