The place was buzzing the next day as preparations got underway. Henry had done all his checks, he went around the marketplace where many females were already buying ball gowns and shoes. Henry wanted Anna to come with him tonight, he thought it might have been risky bringing the woman he loved to the ball but it meant he could spend time with her. Looking over the dresses he spotted a ball gown he thought would look amazing on Anna, next to it was the matching suit that would go with it. On an impulse he grabbed both of them and handed them to the petite vampiress who was running the shop.

"A good choice, You are lucky as this is the last remaining matching outfit I have here."

"Must be my lucky day then." Henry smiled and ran his hand over the dress, he could imagine Anna wearing it.

"She must be a lucky lady then if you are buying it?"

Henry had to be careful that he didn't mention anything about love.

"Stannis wants me to bring a lady, I saw this was your last one, I don't want to be the odd one out, I still have to find someone to bring."

"Well if you don't have anyone i can be your date , I am always available." She gave him a cheeky wink.

The female vampires were always trying to get their way into a man's trousers, trying to climb up the men who hold a higher rank. Henry always thought it was funny that there were all the pleasures for a man to walk into a place and have his way, but for the females unless they worked in the Palace or were one of the exotic dance girls then they were denied the pleasures. In the few places where a lot of the women gathered socially, it was normal for them to end up pleasuring each other.

Henry gathered the outfits that had been nearly placed into a carrier and paid the keeper for the price of the outfits.

He went back to his house hung them up and dashed back to the castle so he could request a leave to go find a lady for the night.

The servant opened the door and Henry was granted entry.

"He is waiting for you in his study." The servant glided across the hall to a door and opened it.

With a nod Henry stepped inside to face Stannis.

"What can I do for you Henry?"

"I would like to ask permission to leave early evening to source a woman for tonight." Henry dropped his head in a bow.

"Out of all of the lady vampires desperate to be taken tonight, do you not like to take one of them?"

"Not to my taste my lord, so as some of the others are bringing their humans to feast on whilst they are here I thought I might do the same."

Stannis sat behind his desk tapping his chin.

"Very well you get one hour to find someone, if not I expect you to bring one of the vampire ladies who have been lining up to come."

With another dip of his head he thanked Stannis and left, holding himself together Henry was soon back at his house. With a training session set in the afternoon Henry worked them hard. He stood under his shower and closed his eyes, he imagined holding Anna in his arms and dancing with her around the great hall, then bringing him back here and making love to her. A rush of euphoria came over him and he had to hold himself up against the wall. Opening his eyes he drew in a deep breath. Drying himself and throwing on his usual clothes he set off to find Anna.

He got ready and headed straight for her place , His blood was pumping around his veins as he walked through her back door. It was still early so he wasn't sure where she would be home .

He closed his eyes and inhaled her, she was here, like a gush of wind he was standing in front of her. She was lying in her bath with her eyes closed.

Anna had decided to relax and take a bath, she couldn't get it out of her head, a feeling that something was going to happen. Regan had turned up and he was an elder, Henry had been different the last time they made love, she could tell the shift in the atmosphere.

She felt a cold draft, without opening her eyes she knew he was here. Her body was already reacting to him even though she hadn't seen him.

Henry took a step forward when he watched her slide her hand down over her breasts and down between her legs. She arched her back and whispered out his name as she let her fingers glide over her pussy.

"Anna." It was a throaty groan that came out of his mouth.

"I thought you said we couldn't be seen?"

"Some of the higher elders are taking their human pets." He stroked her face as Anna gazed into his eyes and he placed a kiss upon her lips. "We can be together the whole night."

Anna tightened her hold on him, closed her eyes and buried her head into his shoulder. Henry's own blood was pumping around his body as he felt her excitement.

"I get to stay with you?"

"Yes, all night Anna, in my arms."

Warm salty drops rolled down his neck from her tears, he took her and kissed her as he held her.

"Get some clothes on, we have to go."

"Now?"

"Yes, it is tonight my love."

"But I don't have anything to wear."

"Don't worry about it my love, I got something for us this morning." Henry watched as her eyes lit up.

Taking her hand he leads her through to the bedroom, he walks around her tracing his fingers over each of her curves, her nipples hard from the chill in the air because her body was still wet from the bath. Her body shivers, within a flash Henry had a towel and wrapped it around her, warming her body. He tipped her head up to look at her.

"When we arrive, you don't speak, you are mine I will not let anyone hurt you, Don't look at me as I am afraid if I show my true feelings for you it will be noticed. Also you may find other vampires will speak about you, but I will not let them touch you."

"Henry, I'm not sure, will they not be able to tell how much I love you?" She placed her hand over where his heart would be.

"Just don't look at any of them in their eyes."

"What happens if I don't come with you?"

"Then I have to select one of the female vampires that are waiting to be chosen." Henry dropped his gaze.

Anna's heart sank knowing he would be with another female, she looked down at the floor, Pain filled Henry at her sadness and he took her face in his hand.

"Come with me, I beg you, I don't want any other female by my side." He stroked his thumb over her cheek like the first time he met her, Anna kissed his palm.

"What will we do when we are there?"

Henry smiled and his eyes shone, sparkling as they penetrated the mist which covered hers, Anna ran her hand over his soft skin and through his silky hair.

"There will be music and dancing, maybe some sights that may not be what you are used to."

"What do you mean?"

"Stannis likes a show, well most of the male vampires like a show, one where the women perform."

"Like a strip show?"

"Yes sort of." Henry wasn't sure how to explain it to her.

"You will be with me, you won't leave me alone?"

"I will hold your hand."

"Okay." Anna smiled at him, not quite sure what she was letting herself into but she would rather be there with Henry than knowing he was with someone else.

Getting dressed he waited for Anna to gather her things before leading her outside.

"Hold onto me, this may take your breath away."

Anna placed her arms around his neck and tightened her grip. He whispered the words into her ear "I love you." before he whisked her away. Everything flew past her as a blur and before they reached their destination of Hades. Henry stopped abruptly,

"What's wrong?" Anna whispered into his ear.

Regan appeared and Henry tightened his hold around Anna but bowed his head as he respected his elder.

"Regan."

"I see you made the choice of taking Anna tonight." Regan smiled.

"I wouldn't have gone with anyone else." Henry kissed her forehead and brushed her hair behind her ear.

"Are you going?" Anna asked him.

Regan smiled. "Of course my dear this ball is all for the purpose of my arrival here." He took a step forward, his eyes bore deep into hers, he saw her divine love for Henry. He shot a look at Henry and saw the same. "You can't take her."
