Chapter 3 First date

Alan rolled his eyes to find Katy, hoping she didn't forget to meet him here. Looking around, he noticed that many girls were starting to stare at him. Moaning to himself, he scowled and looked away at the girls, exhibiting indifference. Alan was very familiar with the seductive, inviting, erotic gazes of girls, but sometimes he felt uncomfortable when they openly bothered with their approach to chat and flirting.

Not to mention this is her first date, being scrutinized and nosy, who can stand it? It is better to see everything around invisible, even if it is attached to pride, and arrogance, just let it be.

"Sorry for being late, I thought I would be on time but... but... I..."

The handsome guy, the center of attention of many people passing by, was currently absentmindedly thinking, leisurely crossing his arms, leaning his back against the tree. Hearing the familiar voice, she turned around to see Katy crouching, breathing heavily. At first, he was a little confused by the appearance, especially about her image, then turned to bewilderment. She didn't need to ask to know that she had just run as if she was being chased by a ghost. Why is that? He wondered and then remembered the information he had learned about her before, he didn't know what to say. Katy is weird, it's normal for boys to wait for girls for a long time on dates, sometimes for an hour without daring to complain but happily greet when their girlfriends next. However, Katy does not want others to wait for her, being a little late is extremely guilty. Glancing at his watch, he saw that she was only fifteen minutes late, which was obvious he could accept. Sympathy for women, when they go out on the street needs to be more sophisticated than men, that is also natural. But she ran with all her might to avoid being late. Was she afraid he was angry? Or do you want to impress him differently? If so, then she succeeded in attracting Alan's curiosity, as well as directing his attention to her. "What's up? You don't look fine! Why are you running?" He opened his mouth, giving him something to say.

"Nothing." She looked up and answered honestly. "I was late for the first bus because I didn't want you to wait so I was in a bit of a hurry..." Katy smiled wryly hoping the explanation didn't bring any serious problems.

It wasn't meant to brag, he knew what Katy was like after nearly three months of quietly observing her from afar. Seeing the sweat on her face, he felt both happy and sad at the same time. Katy tormented herself by worrying that he waited too long. I'm so touched, his girlfriend is very thoughtful and thinks for others. Indeed, when in love, people like to dream, their thoughts are all pink, and sometimes they are overly delusional. To be honest, the reason Katy is like that is partly as he thinks, partly because this is the first time in her life dating, she has no experience, almost ignorant. From yesterday until the time of the appointment, Katy kept worrying, afraid of doing wrong, recklessly disappointing him, thinking that she was a lazy girl, worse than not appreciating the other person's precious time.. .so there are actions that are a bit excessive. After all, Alan still hasn't figured out Katy yet. What he observes is what Katy shows on the outside for people to see. As for the deep, elusive things, she, like many people, likes to keep that secret for themselves. I mean the weak things Katy wants to hide, not the bad things like malice or the idea of ​​harming others. So Alan will be even more surprised to know her, by her side.

"Alan?" Suddenly he was so absent-minded that she thought she had said or done something wrong: "Why are you so open-minded?"

"Um..." He reacted but didn't know what to say.

"Are you angry?" She was anxious to find out.

"Not at all." Knowing Katy's reasoning was wild, Alan had to urgently solve the problem for her to understand: "I'm just thinking about some things, not because of you. Why do you think I'm angry?"

He imitated asking her back.

"Then I'm late." Katy timidly justified. Two fingers tapped nervously. His head was lowered again to look at the ground instead of directly at him.

"You should worry less about nothing. I'm fine with you being a little late." Alan tried to get her to face him: "Next time take it slow, don't run or you'll stumble."

Katy nodded at Alan's reminder. She looked up, glancing at him surreptitiously. Alan's smile gives Katy more confidence. Although she was still a little embarrassed, she managed to control her mind.

Alan watched Katy's every move and expression with passion, and attentiveness. Once she straightened up, he couldn't help but look at her choice of clothes. Black jeans, a white t-shirt, and sneakers of the same color. He concentrated, analyzed it thoroughly from head to toe, and then back again a few rounds like that. The most remarkable thing is that she doesn't wear makeup, doesn't brush her lips, and her hair is a bit messy. Overall, Katy's fashion is too monotonous, and not acceptable.

Katy noticed his ash-gray eyes staring at her clothes. She raised an eyebrow at him and parted her lips.

"What I'm wearing... okay?" She shyly asked: "Does it look old-fashioned and out of date?"

Alan smiled faintly and shook his head: "It's okay, I'm just glad you came here, not dressing up like a playgirl, trying to make yourself look good without knowing that I look ridiculous. I know you're not that kind of girl."

'Besides, you're cute in whatever you wear.' He thought blushing.

Did he just compliment or be sarcastic about her bad taste in a dress? He just doesn't like girls these days who prefer to take care of their looks more than anything else. Katy admits she doesn't know much about fashion, or how to coordinate clothes. To be honest, it took her an hour to dress up for today's date. Tried on three or four dresses and in the end didn't like them, rather didn't dare to wear them, she chose according to her usual style, baggy, comfortable, no matter if it's ugly or beautiful, fashion or disaster in the eyes of everyone.

Does Alan like it? Katy doesn't know, but she doesn't care much about how other people look and think about her. It had always been, and Alan was not an exception to influencing her.

"Let's go."

Alan motioned for her to follow him.

"Where will we go?" Katy followed him, curiously asked.

"You'll know later." He replied, deliberately walking slowly to wait for her to walk beside him.

Although Katy seems innocent and naive in love, she is smart enough to understand what Alan wants. She quickly increased her speed to catch up with Alan. Both of them walked into the ice cream shop.

Oh, this place is perfect for a date. Katy finds this very sweet.

"Choose whatever flavor you want." Alan stood in front of the ice cream counter, looked around, then turned to talk to her.

Katy was ready to protest, but he looked at her sharply, the message being not to refuse his offer to pay her. Normally, guys will pay the bill of the date, especially guys like Alan, possessing a high temperament, always keep a good face in the eyes of everyone, and can't be looked down upon. Most of all, Alan doesn't like rejection, he likes to be in control. Don't you know the basics? Don't blame them, Katy is naive. Faced with Alan's authoritative attitude, Katy felt herself taking a step back. She bit her red bottom lip, ashamed of her ignorance, looking down at the display of different flavors, she pointed to vanilla.

Appearing to be pleased that she obediently obeyed, he turned to the counter clerk.

"We'd like a vanilla cone and a coffee-flavored ice cream," Alan said in a cold voice that is reserved for most people. The male waiter behind the counter nodded, quickly scooping ice cream for two people. While they were waiting, Katy turned her head to see several girls standing behind her, looking at her with disgust. Terrible murderous intent covered the whole vision in front of Katy, everyone was like a wild beast, waiting to rush in and knock her away, fighting to bite Alan. She instinctively ran closer to Alan, looking for some safety.

After paying for the ice cream, he took two ice creams from the waiter and turned to face Katy. His eyes met hers and saw the sadness and fear in them.

"What's going on?" He whispered to her.

"Can we not eat it here?" She mumbled, shifting her weight to the side.

Alan noticed the atmosphere around him and quickly looked behind him to notice how the girls behind were looking at Katy.

Well, this isn't new to Alan. There are always troubled people around him. And this time it was even worse with Katy by his side. Before Alan had time to decide how to handle it, people did not hesitate to attack first.

"Don't tell me you're dating that girl?"

One of the girls asked while pointing at Katy. They all seemed very curious to hear what he had to say. Frustratingly, I hate these three nuisances. No one is harassed, given his disdain for Katy.

Hateful, want peace but not satisfied. Alan scolded indignantly.
