Chapter 6 6.

100 years back in time, a sudden uproar could be heard in the great land, "Oh, a young child was dying."

Everyone looked confused. The parents of the child were fidgeting, overcomed with the fear of death for their little child.

The dying child was hauled over to the chief priest's domain.

"Help, help, great priest come to our aid," the parents cried.

"Before I will commence with the treatments, I would love that you provide a thousand cowries." The priest announced.

"Noooooo, nooo, don't do this. We have nothing, please attend to our child and we would forever be grateful."

The chief priest refused to do anything despite the incessant plead from the parents. Unfortunately, they had no money. They cried with the fear of losing their child.

However, just in time, Maison, an ordinary villager who possessed strong powers right from his childhood came into the picture. He notices the cry from the priest's domain, and in curiosity decides to catch a glimpse.

Witnessing tears in the face of the child's parents with the reluctant attitude of the priest, moved the emotion within him.

He possessed strong powers, but never used it to shelve criticism. But this time, he's got no choice.

"A life must be saved," he mutters underneath his breath.

He placed his hand on the child with his eyes closed delving into the spirit realm. The venom within the child evaporated into thin air.

The villagers were happy to witness this, the parents of the child rejoiced. Yet the chief priest rather found the presence of Maison threatening.

Then the chief priests decide to come up with a plan to forever make Maison hated by the villagers.

One faithful day, he invites Maison over to his house in the name of having lunch with him.

Madison rejects the offer but he insists if he wasn't holding back grudges against him, then he should accept his invitation.

Maison discussed it with his wife and they both agreed he would go.

Little did they know that the so-called chief priest had a lot in mind.
