I traveled abroad, but soon had to return for the wedding preparation, my flight was delayed and I had no choice but to wait till a day before the wedding. I lodged in a hotel that night. I wasn't ready to face the stress of traveling home.
I felt dry, thirsty, and needed some relief, so I strode out of my room heading to the bar.
"Wait up! Wait up. Can I get a packet of cigarettes?" I asked the hotel attendant whom I approached.
"We've got all of that in store for our guest ma'am. What else would you need asides from that? Moreover, we've got a club close by where you could chill out."
I gave him a serious look. "What the heck he already concluded on the type of person I am," I muttered to myself. "That's very good though, I needed to chill out. Which way to the club please?"
He directed me to the place and I immediately fell in love with it.
Music filled the air, strippers cycling the pole. Boobs and butts everywhere. I never knew Landia had such beautiful events like this, I thought things like this were excluded to those abroad.
I brought out a cigarette stick and then lit it. A hand wrapped me by the waist.
"Jeez! Who the hell is that?" I jerked out of his grip. Only to peek at him. "Gosh! He's so handsome.
"Hello beauty, can I know your name?"
"Gosh!" The deep blue eyes, the breathtaking smile, broad-chested with the packs revealing underneath his shirt. "He's so handsome"
"Hello o, do you mind telling me your name?" His words zoomed me back to reality.
"Juliet- I'm Juliet," I offered him a handshake before he asked for one.
"Do you mind having a drink with me?" He offered.
"Who the heck would reject such an offer?" I thought.
"Sure, bring it on man. Two bottles, five bottles, ten bottles. How many can you take?"
"Huh! You drink that much?" He smirked at my words.
"No– not really. Once -- in– a while." I struggled to say.
"Let's have some then." He announced. We ordered two bottles for each at the start. We emptied each bottle and kept ordering more until we were knocked out.
"Jee--EEZ, I can barely feel my legs," I exclaimed out of my tipsy state holding my head tight.
"Wow, you are drunk." He suddenly stared into my eyes and spoke. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"No, no-no. What– are you thinking?" He strode towards me and lifted me off my seat, straight to my hotel room.
"Let's have some fun baby girl." That was the last thing I could remember.

"Arrg- hh. Will you just stop blaring?" Juliet yelled and switched the phone off in anger.
She touched the bed with her eyes still shut to have a feel of the guy beside her.
"What! He's gone." Juliet sat up in surprise. Then she discovered a note beside her, she took the note, unfolded it, and read the content.
"Thanks for last night, you were too sweet. You satisfied my thirst and succeeded in pacifying my hungry soul. I would have waited until you woke up, but I needed to run along. I've got something important to catch up with."
"Shit, I don't even know his name. I didn't collect his number either," she checks her wristwatch.
"My oh my," I've got a wedding to attend." Juliet rushed to the bathroom, took bathed packed her luggage, and headed out.

She peeks at her watch at intervals she was running out of time. "Drive fast please, I'm running out of time." She felt like seizing the steering from the driver's grip, he wasn't driving to her satisfaction.
The vehicle comes to a halt. "Finally," she heaves a sigh of relief.
"Mom, dad." She walks into the house, surveying the whole house that looks empty. "Where have they gone to?"
"All at the venue Juliet, you are late again." A voice steered the atmosphere.
"Mum," she strides to meet her in a haste. Hugging her so right. "I missed you, mum."
"I missed you too baby. Now let's make haste to the church everyone is waiting. I only stayed back for you."
*****
The memory of the previous night kept flowing into her memory and she smiled at consecutive times.
"Why are you smiling?" Her mum queries after watching her for some time
"Nothing, I guess I'm in love." Her mum giggled, squeezing Juliet's palm into hers.
"I do not even recognize the groom,"
"That's because you never stay around. Just stay calm, we've got a lot to talk about after the wedding."
Juliet smirked at her words revealing her dentition.
"I now declare you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride the priest announced.
The couples danced forward, danced out of the church.
" Jane," Juliet called while she strode up to her to congratulate her. She hugged her sister, it's been a while.
"Juliet meet Charles, Charles meets Juliet, my twin sister," Jane introduced.
"Hi, I'm Charles. Jane, you never told me you had a twin sister." Charles exclaims.
"It's nice knowing ----- you," Juliet knocks out.

"It's impossible, I wouldn't forgo this one. She's been after me right from high school and possesses everything I ever desired," Juliet speaks to herself pacing the room.
Cell phone chimed--
She struggles to get it out of her pocket. "Unknown caller! Who could this be?"
She picks up the call. "Meet me at the town hall now." The voice commands and cuts the call.
She enters her mom's vehicle driving as fast as she could.
Finally, the vehicle comes to a halt in front of a mansion. Obviously not his house.
She locates the caller. He faced the window with his hands in his pocket. "Why did you call me here and how did you get my number?" Juliet questions.
"Forget all that, I want whatever transpired between me and you to remain a secret." Charles declares Juliet scoffed.
"It's not as easy as you say, Charles, I love you. Right from that night, I couldn't get my mind off you. I feel like a part of me is missing each day."
"Enough Jane, you and I know that night was a mistake. We were both drunk so it wasn't intentional." Charles yelled
"Fine, agreed. Accepted. We are cool to go." Juliet changed her expression with grins.

Juliet decided to leave for abroad. "Mum, I'll so much miss you all."
"Take care of yourself, baby." Her parents hugged her to themselves.
In less than 2 hours news reached the parents that Juliet is dead. The family wailed wishing they hadn't left her to embark on the journey. Surprisingly, her body wasn't found. The news declared that it was a ghastic motor fire accident is her body is ruined.
"May her gentle soul rest in peace." The priest prayed at the burial after they succeeded in finding her ashes.

Jane wailed so much over the death of her sister. She also went out that same day, with the thought of meeting up with her to see her off.
She got trapped in the traffic and couldn't meet up until she received the news.
"Jane, how is my baby doing." Charles strides towards where she lay rubbing her stomach.
"Jane was startled at his question. " Baby, when did I become pregnant," she whispers to herself.
"Humm-- hmmm, your baby is good," she stammers.
.
Jane's behavior had changed, ever since the death of Juliet, she screams in her dreams and gives excuses that she watched a bad movie before bed.
"Baby I'm home," Charles calls however, he receives no answer.
"Jane, Jane," he kept calling till he reached their bedroom.
"I guess she isn't home." He asked the staff about her whereabouts and they informed him she didn't disclose.
Charles laid on the bed staring at nothing in particular looking exhausted. He rose to his feet and headed to the wardrobe to have a change of his wear. In the process of his search, nylon dropped.
"What's this?" He exclaimed being inquisitive he moves on to open it and found pictures. "Wait, this is getting me confused," he spread the pictures on the bed to have a closer look.
"What! I can't believe this?" He picked up the phone and made a call.
Jane walked in. "Good day, welcome. Baby, I'm home." She was happy.
"Charles, I'm home." She called repeatedly from the sitting room. The house was too quiet. She takes a step to transcend the stairs.
"Where's Jane?" Charles's voice pierced into her head. She went speechless and couldn't utter a word. She gave herself a giant of hope.
"I'm Jane, why the ambiguous question," Jane asks, steering at the men beside Charles.
"Officers, seize her."
